- Detailed instructions on how to replace headlight bulbs on a Toytoa Aygo (2005-2014). The example here is on a 2006 Peugeot 107. The procedure will, however, be very similar for the two other "triplets" Peugeot 107 and Citroen C1.
The headlight bulbs on these cars are H4 type. Remember to take care not to touch the glass surface of the bulb.
Thank you very much for this video. We managed to replace the H4 bulb in our 2014 Toyota Aygo. As the others have commented - due to a lack of space, it wasn't easy getting a good grip anywhere! The rubber sleeve came off fairly easily, as did the plastic connector. The metal ring however, proved more of a challenge. In the end we used a small mirror to see which end was 'up'. Once we knew that, it needed a firm turn to one side - and then it opened easily. The re-assembly was easy. All in all, about 30 minutes spent (might be faster next time!). Still, considering the new bulb cost just £3, the experience was worth it - plus the satisfaction of having accomplished something!
Thx for this. I just changed mine. It wasnt hard but i used alott of time trying to take of the pin. For anyone who is reading this and need tips with it. Dont push dont. Take a picture see which side is open and push to that side. So push sideway not down. 😂
You saved my fingers so damn much trouble, I had been pushing for like 10 minutes. Thank you! 🫡
Thanks for the video! After spending almost an hour watching other videos and trying to disassemble the bulb, I managed to do it in just 5 minutes after watching yours! This is the only place where it was explained that a metal spring holds the bulb. It was as easy as pushing the top side of the metal spring to the left and the bulb came out on its own.
Thank you! This video was very helpful!
thank you.....greets from germany :-)
good man , thank a lot bro. all the best
Many thanks for this!!
This is best video best explanation... respect Thanks
Cheers, Biggles🌹
Thanks!
I just switched this light bulb in my 2007 Aygo. Brute force was not the way to go. If you slide your phone in between and take a picture you might see that there's a little clip at the top that keeps the metal spring from falling down. You need to push the metal spring a bit to the side and it should come down with little effort.
You can see the movement required at 3:15 in this video: ruclips.net/video/5hm8Lu6Z2fs/видео.html&ab_channel=FixandDrive
Tried 5 min ago. Connector and Rubber Is a joke. But metal spring Is hard, I took a photo of It and it seems there is a best side to loose It. Finger hurts, will try again in the next days and let you know.
Cheers for bothering to make and post - does help to know how to approach it when access is so bad. Thanks
You are very welcome!
It really helped me to do myself (Y)
Why is the car a Peugeot but it’s a video for changing the bulb on a Toyota Aygo? Is the bulb the same connection, for both vehicle makes and models?
Hello. Yes, the Peugeot 107 is exactly the same car bar some very minor bodywork changes. The bulb connection is identical for the Toyota Aygo/Peugeot 107 and Citroen C1 2005-2014. The cars were even made in the same facotry.
@@Biggles Thank you.
The white connector will not come of. Any tips?
Persistence. Try with some rubber gloves for extra grip and try a rocking motion to work it loose.
I can’t for the life of me press that metal spring, it’s almost like it’s stuck!
just did it myself, took me like 20 minutes vit brute force is the way to go my friend
If you're still having difficulties, check out my comment above.
We found that if you try to twist it to one side, it comes loose more easily.
It is not a Toyota Aygo burro
Thats a Peugot
