Nice!!! That's the best restoration repurposing job I've ever seen, I had a matchbox truck like that back in the day when i was a kid, You should have made it into a ''Good Humor'' or ''Mr Softee'' ice cream truck too still a very good restoration job well done.
They are older than you estimated. This model ran from 1963 to 1967. Came out nice!
