A video description on the arrival procedures at St Benedict College Secondary School Kirkop for the scholastic year 2020-2021
Welcome to scholastic year 2020 - 2021, the year of COVID 19.
This video is intended to explain the daily procedures at school. In video 1, we will focus only on the time of arrival.
It is very important to check your temperature at home. Your body temperature shouldn't exceed 37.2 degC. If you have any other symptoms like cough, abdominal pain, vomiting, diarrhoea or headache, you are obliged to stay home and consult your doctor.
Check your timetable well and make sure you do not forget anything behind. This year you will not be able to use the lockers. Remember that it is obligatory to bring these three items with you: tissues, wipes and sanitiser APART FROM YOUR MASK.
Do not forget that when using your school transport, everyone is obliged to wear a mask or a visor. The entrances to the school will be as follows:
Entrance A- Gate opposite Lidl, to be used by students who come to school on foot from Hal Safi direction.
Entrance B - Through the gate leading to the sports complex, past the hall foyer and tuck shop. This entrance is to be used by students who come to school on foot from Kirkop direction or are dropped off by parents/guardians.
Entrance C - Near the library up the staircase leading to the Creativity Block. This entrance is aimed for Year 9 students who come to school using school transport.
Entrance D - Ground floor foyer dismissal area side. All Year 10 students who come to school using school transport are to use this door.
Entrance E - Emergency exit in corridor GB is to be used by Year 11 students who come to school using school transport.
As soon as you arrive at school, you will be asked to sanitise your hands and your temperature is checked again. From there, you are to make your way directly to your base class. Students who arrive on school premises early are urged to bring a reading book or anything interesting to keep themselves occupied. MOBILE PHONES AND TABLETS ARE STRICTLY FORBIDDEN.

As you know, we are currently going through difficult times due to COVID 19 and we must do everything possible to take care of our health and keep social distance. For this reason, this year, whole school assemblies and form assemblies will be held virtually on MS teams.
