Hey man, by chance when did you purchase your instrument? Just got mine recently and feel like Ibanez narrowed the necks towards the nut in newer builds. I've seen some AZs that were built in 2021 that have very straight necks and fretboards that don't taper.
I like mine well enough, but it doesn't stay in tune terribly well under even moderate tremelo use. Build quality otherwise as you state is really good.
If u call it modern, it must have some electronic, sustainer, covered in the neck, piezo bridge, a plug for midi a device, a mechanism to drop to D and C.
Piezo bridge would be cool I admit, but I think it can be perfect without all the bells and whistles too. But looking at the comments maybe that’s just me 🤷♂️
@@richardclarkmoore playing the devil's advocate here, it's your opinion and by modern I assumed you meant the shape and materials used.. that said I admit just like the term modern rock sailed a decade or two ago I feel the old analog devices are viewed in the same light. Whatcha going to do.
To answer you title question. No it's not even close to perfect I've played one multiple times and it's a good guitar but it's no better than multiple guitars out there and first you have to be able to get past the baseball bat neck on it. Maybe a top 15 guitar at best.

it gets better with time, I guess it's a problem related to the nut
Might just need to warm up to its new owner! trust takes time after all
In Brazil it costs around five thousand dollars...

@@stolenlaptop I’m gonna keep making videos for people to fight over the definition of a deliberately click bait title 😉 thanks for watching though!
Modern is subjective. He can call it what he wants. It's his video.
Richard Moore...It's not an ''arm concave''....It's a bevel or cut-away for the arm...and there is nothing ''concave'' about it...just saying...
You’re not wrong there, you’ll have to forgive me, sometimes things slip through my rigorous editing and production schedule

I’ll take top 15! Might not be perfect to you, but it’s still damn good.
What are others for you?
