Or if you mean unlocking all 300+ endings then it's a draw
Wyvern was just not meant for the perfect parry! Even when I got use to it I still got clapped on Wyvern I stayed on hard mode, So many gamers just say which to Easy but I'm a hardcore gamer for that but it took awhile for me to finally beat this And it wasn't just the boss, The entire Final Horizons is hard gamers explained about the game being easy so SEGA decided to crank the difficulty all the way past to extreme to f*** you! There are mini-bosses that will knock you flat on your a** in a matter of seconds and of course this trial ever do it on extreme you have my respect!
Just a fun little thing i found with wyvern: you're able to cancel a dodge into a parry, so you can parry during the active frames of his attack. Even if you don't parry it the first time, wyvern only enters the chase phase if you get hit. I didn't know that easy mode extended the perfect parry window until after the fact, so this really helped me with handling the challenge.

Literally stayed up all night trying to beat the trial until it was 7 AM. After getting some rest from the game I came back and beat it and that only took me one try!
How the heck are you this good at the trial? It was a nightmare for me to get through this I actually cried, but you're able to do this well. That's amazing!
Well I have been playing Frontiers almost everyday since launch and got the boss attack patterns down. xD But even for me this took like an hour or so.
I swear something might be up with my controller. Sonic's attacks aren't exactly one to one. I also try combos and they don't work, like the Cross Slash will just not work
The parry itself isn't the problem, I didn't have any difficulty to parry the final fight. But the final fight is clear. The titans are not. They have been built with an unlimited parry time window, a frame perfect one doesn't work well. You need some insame reaction time and the ability to read through the patterns too much.
The parry was honestly the least of my problems with this trial. The most efficient strat of beating it is by cylooping the Titans and spamming the stomp attack, but the problem is the jank can ruin a good run and Wyvern is a good example of this. Whenever I cylooped him it would either throw me behind or under him and it doesn't help that the camera is wrestling control away from you in that fight. Most of the times you lose this trial in hard mode it won't be through any fault of your own honestly.
I am literally challenging myself to go through this trial in extreme mode! And man! It is pushing me to learn how to get those timings in for the perfect parries!
Do you have all sonic attacks? Because I’m playing in extreme mode too, but I haven’t got the last one attack that you unlock on the chaos island (similar to the sonic boom). Sorry for my English, I’m from Spain😅
@@spooderman320 i don’t know, but the attack makes a lot of damage. I had it before the dlc 3, but now the game says that I need to progress in the main history to unlock it. However, in this gameplay he has the cross slash and I really want to know if it is because he is playing in hard mode or is a bug.
@@sonikel5905 You get it when freeing tails, so you can't beat the game without getting it because it's tied to the story. I guess if you actually are on ouranous and don't have it, then maybe it is bugged?
@@MEMEuser420 first boss is not that bad in this trial The second boss requires you to master the perfect block to even do damage to it is where I rage quit I played on normal difficulty and if they are shoving in a perfect block mechanic with no build up that’s where I say “I have better things to do than fight the 3 bosses I already beaten why do it again but worse.”
I love how this trial is basically a way of answering one of the biggest complaints of the game’s mechanics…. By actually forcing you to properly parry. Instead of just holding the button, you actually have to time it now (which is how a parry mechanic is supposed to be)

Spent a good three hours on this cause I was on Hard mode, Wyvern being the most problematic at first due to having to Parry in order to get a chance to attack. (Not to mention your rings don't refill at all before each fight.)
I've handled Dante Must Die mode in DMC. I've handled Shangri La in COD zombies. I've even handled Malenia and Placidusax in Elden Ring. But doing this boss rush was one of the hardest things ive done.
So for the Giganto fight there's definitely an audio cue for when to parry. When he does the big spin you can hear 2 whooshing sounds (2:01). So whoosh whoosh and then parry immediately after the2nd whoosh.
I swear, going through these trials on hard mode makes you feel like Super Sonic in the sense that you feel so powerful and yet pushing yourself beyond your limits to win. On in our case, it's to maintain sanity with how bloody difficult it is.
This shit took me 3 hours to complete. Wyvern was the most difficult for me. I just couldn’t get its timing down. For Knight I just brute forced my way through it, attacking it when it’s moving around. I played the entire game in hard mode so I didn’t want to cheap out and change the difficulty
This was the death of me. I had to quit 3 times cuz I came in the knight fight with 7 rings. I couldn't be happier that this was added. Still struggling with the end and I'm not mad at all. Hope the next game is just as hard or harder than this update.
Dude you are awesome at this took me I think nearly two hours but this update was amazing just finished it three hours ago plus I like the idea fighting the main three titans to get you ready for supereme/the end:)
Wyvern was the only challenge in this rush lets be honest. (Hard mode) Im gonna attempt to beat the full dlc with sonic as lv1 like how i did the main game.
Luckily for you, Master trial Strips you down to lvl 1 for all stats, so you've basically already done it. But i would LOVE to fight The End as a lvl 1 Sonic. I do have a spare lvl 1 base file sitting at the Wyvern fight. Hmm...
This is the first time i actually went "You have got to be shitting me..." in a Sonic game since Eggmanland. Doing this on hard is my greatest accomplishment in this game lmao. Only took 4 attempts on my end but the horror stories I have heard make me laugh.
This and the "plus guardians", like Master Ninja+ on Extreme Mode. I've been playing on Extreme on the new update. The guardians are actually possible on Extreme, but the King's trial can't be beaten if you're not an asian, I swear.

I’ve had to put the difficulty down to see if it helped in any way but I seem to still take loads of time and barely get to the last boss, I finished Wivyrne with like 2 rings left and I then started the next boss and immediately failed it and had to retry. I’m very happy that Sonic team were able to make this game even more of a success and challenge but this boss rush stuff is really frustrating and testing my will to live. You make it seem so quick with about 250 rings at Knight whereas I’m still at Gita to at about that ring count 😭
This is definitely the most Difficult thing in Update 3 by a long shot. I think they went abit overboard with the parrying timing.. Good luck on your journey! Knowing when to cyloop for quick damage can help alot
I managed to get to Knight with about 134 rings being my best record. My problem with Wyvern is reading his attacks that lead to performing your Grand Slam counterattack. Problem is i learned to read every attack EXCEPT for those and that damn tail whip. And do not cyloop Wyvern during second phase unless you know when to perfect parry his tail attack. If you can get a full cyloop bar going into knight, you can use one use in each of his phases to give you more than enough time to drain his health with attacks. You have to parry Knight at least once though to trigger his shield throw for first phase.
My first time in this challenge, it took me 2 hours to complete it, but I didn't want to lower the difficulty to normal or easy because my pride wouldn't let me. but once i know it how to do, i finished each titan quickly and managed to overcome it
Not gonna lie, its good to finally have a pretty difficult/challenging level, the last time i felt like i got challenged was Sonic Unleashed and it was super long ago, its honestly quite fun *but however trying this on Extreme Mode is on a whole other level*
@@Mr.Feather130 I had less problem on Extreme (except for some enemies) but then I got stuck on King's trial until I had to change to hard mode. did around 30 tries on Master King trial on Extreme and holy most of my loses are from Wyvern, trying to Parry while also speedrunning to keep your rings is almost impossible,including trying to dodge their attacks (I think the bosses attacks gets more crazier but if you know the timing right, you can manage a little) I'd like to say it's a skill issue but I haven't seen anybody win this trial on Extreme mode 💀💀

Mad respect to you guys for clearing it in Hard Mode. I just managed to clear it and I do not want to do it again. I have no clue why Sega went over the top in difficulty with this game. There is challenging and fun and let's punish you so you won't enjoy the game anymore. Great video and welld one again!
One of the reasons was we did conplain how the normal parrying made the game too easy. Dev's kind of took it personal, but hey, for me it made the final boss SO much more rewarding and satisfying.
I gave up until there's a patch. I really hate the fact that you can't make any mistake in order to finish this even on easy mode. At least Eggmanland if you are careful, you can do it without dying and they let you play with all the upgrades. Here, they strip you of almost everything. At least let us with one upgrade (the power or the number of max rings) or let us have rings during the battle...it's frustrating.
This trial would’ve been more reasonable if they let you keep your ring level for it on normal difficulty or lower. Reserve the 400 ring limit for hard and extreme.
This easiest way to do this trial: For Giganto combo then spam stop. After a while do a quick cyloop and do the same thing. For his 2nd phase same strategy but parry in the air since he attacks you. You can do cyloop againt once he’s in the air to slam him into the ground Wyvern: the exact same thing as giganto but if you quick cyloop him and get flung either do homing shot or boost to him. The 2nd phase do not and I mean DO NOT use quick cyloop on wyvern at all you’ll need it for knight. Knight: same thing as giganto. Tbh knight you just fight him the same way as the other two. Get flung with the shield slam it back into him. Parry his shield. Quick cyloop and stomp spam and your done.
How I beat it on easy mode: Obviously having decent parrying timing. 2 second window is pretty good. The best thing to do with all of them is spam the stomp move and cycloops for twice as much damage. Giganto: well known fact but spam the parry buttons by tapping them both repeatedly and you escape giganto’s qte. When cylooping giganto on the second phase, he’ll try to hit you so remember to parry then clobber him with the stomp and a few punches. For wyvern, listen to the sound of the rockets just before they come near you. That’s the signal to parry. I haven’t seen this until today but wyvern has a laser from its mouth that it does during the second phase. There’s always a sound just before it attacks so be attentive For knight: I only realised today that you can skip his shield brawl. Just side step to get behind his shield and hit him. Also side step and press the button that initiates sonic’s chase attack. For me it’s R1/L1 and square since I’m a ps4 player. During knight’s second phase, he’ll stay still and take about two hits before trying to knock you to the mountain. Remember to time your party for his counter attack cause he will spam it. As for his wheel, best to aim and parry it directly on him, from my experience trying to aim the wheel to the side of him ahead of time doesn’t work. That should be everything, hope it helps. P.S about to try the final boss and apparently you have to perfect parry. I hope not or back to easy mode For me
I playd the Game,so easy often....no boss rush....no real challenge...dlc came....sonic unleashed and sonic'06 combined,especially with knux. :D The tower gave me already some headache cuz of reloading when falling....but the final one really kills me,on hard. thanks sega theres no trophy for beating them on hard....only thing that really annoyd me,with the towers ect....almost no checkpoints and then this perfect parry....respect for making it.

Fun thing is : I get to wyvern's second phase with about 350 rings, and still can't win ! Yes, Giganto and Wyvern's 1st phase with only 50 rings But somehow I just can't beat Knight in the few tries I make it to him with more than 100 rings Also, I disabled the battle dramatic camera, the game seems less broken in your video with it, maybe that's why I can't hit my combos. And you can dodge Giganto's laser ? Didn't know that I was just skipping it with cyloop You can cyloop Giganto without charging the bar if you just go around him, then phase 2 I quick cyloop before he pulls his laser out, then parry in the air and he's dead, but dodging the laser makes it so much more reliable Since I learned a lot in this video I felt like I had to share my discoveries as well, maybe I can beat it this time
i havn't been looking at media about the game. playing final horizon i was getting the impression that the fanbase was on their mess again about the game being too easy and the devs pulled out all the stops. the minor ammount of map that gets revealed, all the guardians having gone through new game +, the puzzle density, perfect parry with no extra rings. I enjoyed the relax play, now i feel like i'm playing a competitive hard mode speed run mod xD
I pretty sure easy to beat 1 and 3 bosses but the 2nd boss literally is so time consuming u have to parry the missal perfectly then and again with his claw. Same thing with 2nd phase but worse he does it twice. I haven’t beaten the 3 boss I’m sure it little harder then 1st. But nothing can be 2nd boss
The full playthrough should be out shortly. Currently processing at 480p. Anyways I heard alooot of people complain about this challenge and rightfully so, it's a pain in the butt. lol definitely difficult. On Hard mode you need to be almost frame perfect with your parry timing (I hear easy mode's parry is 3 seconds). This makes Wyvern specifically extremely stressful. Sometimes you can cheese it if you mash parry in a specific pattern. You're best bet is to Cyloop Wyvern so you can get half damage in one run.
This is complete bullshit. The difficulty here feels so artificial. I am beating this bosses as fast as I did, without losing once, in the base game, but because they decided to cap my stats (which I maxed out long time ago) I am stuck at this. I was liking the whole update, even if it felt jankier than the base game, but this challenge is the worst thing they could have done.
Wyvern is the most time consuming and it leaves me with not time to handle Knight, what I found is that if Sonic is positioned correctly and execute two cyloops you can burn through the forst half pretty quickly, the second half on the other hand is way more difficult (boss timings). Did I mentioned I haven't played these bosses (with the exception of Giganto) since I have girst beaten them? Oh dear it is hard...

The low stats and ring count is fine with me but the pain is having to perfect parry specially against wyvern. Either gives us more parry time or give us a slow motion alarm when where suppose to parry.

I really wanted hardest bosses like data battles in KH, however limiting your time and eliminating the Rings is just artificial difficulty. I would have liked if they added nee moves and abilities for each of them

He takes like a good portion of your very limited ring supply leaving you with a short supply or almost nothing at all when fighting Knight

Im gonna attempt to beat the full dlc with sonic as lv1 like how i did the main game.
Luckily for you, Master trial Strips you down to lvl 1 for all stats, so you've basically already done it. But i would LOVE to fight The End as a lvl 1 Sonic. I do have a spare lvl 1 base file sitting at the Wyvern fight. Hmm...

If you want an easier way to beat this trial. set the difficulty to easy, people change the Perry time to 2 seconds,

This is the first time i actually went "You have got to be shitting me..." in a Sonic game since Eggmanland. Doing this on hard is my greatest accomplishment in this game lmao. Only took 4 attempts on my end but the horror stories I have heard make me laugh.
This and the "plus guardians", like Master Ninja+ on Extreme Mode. I've been playing on Extreme on the new update. The guardians are actually possible on Extreme, but the King's trial can't be beaten if you're not an asian, I swear.

I’ve had to put the difficulty down to see if it helped in any way but I seem to still take loads of time and barely get to the last boss, I finished Wivyrne with like 2 rings left and I then started the next boss and immediately failed it and had to retry. I’m very happy that Sonic team were able to make this game even more of a success and challenge but this boss rush stuff is really frustrating and testing my will to live. You make it seem so quick with about 250 rings at Knight whereas I’m still at Gita to at about that ring count 😭
This is definitely the most Difficult thing in Update 3 by a long shot. I think they went abit overboard with the parrying timing.. Good luck on your journey! Knowing when to cyloop for quick damage can help alot

I can defeat giganto with 324 rings left, but wyvern sucked all but 4 rings when I got to Knight, even on easy
I managed to get to Knight with about 134 rings being my best record. My problem with Wyvern is reading his attacks that lead to performing your Grand Slam counterattack. Problem is i learned to read every attack EXCEPT for those and that damn tail whip. And do not cyloop Wyvern during second phase unless you know when to perfect parry his tail attack. If you can get a full cyloop bar going into knight, you can use one use in each of his phases to give you more than enough time to drain his health with attacks. You have to parry Knight at least once though to trigger his shield throw for first phase.
I have a headcanon that the trial wasn’t originally this bad but Master King was fed up with Sonic’s attitude so he put him through this on purpose
When you do the cyloop on the Titans your damage output seems to double if not more. I just tried and can verify it works. That'll help quite a bit.
Yes cyloop will increase damage output. You can't get half of Wyvern's half in one go without it.

My first time in this challenge, it took me 2 hours to complete it, but I didn't want to lower the difficulty to normal or easy because my pride wouldn't let me. but once i know it how to do, i finished each titan quickly and managed to overcome it
This DLC and this trial especially was Kishimoto’s way of saying ‘F* You’ to everyone who complained that Sonic games weren’t challenging enough.
Not gonna lie, its good to finally have a pretty difficult/challenging level, the last time i felt like i got challenged was Sonic Unleashed and it was super long ago, its honestly quite fun
*but however trying this on Extreme Mode is on a whole other level*

@@Mr.Feather130 I had less problem on Extreme (except for some enemies) but then I got stuck on King's trial until I had to change to hard mode. did around 30 tries on Master King trial on Extreme and holy most of my loses are from Wyvern, trying to Parry while also speedrunning to keep your rings is almost impossible,including trying to dodge their attacks (I think the bosses attacks gets more crazier but if you know the timing right, you can manage a little) I'd like to say it's a skill issue but I haven't seen anybody win this trial on Extreme mode 💀💀

God Im suffering so much, my pc BARELY meets the needed specs for this game and it never gave me real trouble until THIS TRIAL, HOLY SHIT, EVERY SMALL FPS DIP MAKES ME MISS A PARRY AND LOSE RINGS AND I ALMOST WANT TO DIE INSIDE WHYYY
Mad respect to you guys for clearing it in Hard Mode. I just managed to clear it and I do not want to do it again. I have no clue why Sega went over the top in difficulty with this game. There is challenging and fun and let's punish you so you won't enjoy the game anymore. Great video and welld one again!
One of the reasons was we did conplain how the normal parrying made the game too easy. Dev's kind of took it personal, but hey, for me it made the final boss SO much more rewarding and satisfying.
You have to understand the pain of dealing with that trial…

I really hate the fact that you can't make any mistake in order to finish this even on easy mode. At least Eggmanland if you are careful, you can do it without dying and they let you play with all the upgrades.
Here, they strip you of almost everything. At least let us with one upgrade (the power or the number of max rings) or let us have rings during the battle...it's frustrating.
Max rings would be the best option imo

This trial would’ve been more reasonable if they let you keep your ring level for it on normal difficulty or lower. Reserve the 400 ring limit for hard and extreme.

This easiest way to do this trial:
For Giganto combo then spam stop. After a while do a quick cyloop and do the same thing. For his 2nd phase same strategy but parry in the air since he attacks you. You can do cyloop againt once he’s in the air to slam him into the ground
Wyvern: the exact same thing as giganto but if you quick cyloop him and get flung either do homing shot or boost to him. The 2nd phase do not and I mean DO NOT use quick cyloop on wyvern at all you’ll need it for knight.
Knight: same thing as giganto. Tbh knight you just fight him the same way as the other two. Get flung with the shield slam it back into him. Parry his shield. Quick cyloop and stomp spam and your done.
How I beat it on easy mode:
Obviously having decent parrying timing. 2 second window is pretty good.
The best thing to do with all of them is spam the stomp move and cycloops for twice as much damage.
Giganto: well known fact but spam the parry buttons by tapping them both repeatedly and you escape giganto’s qte. When cylooping giganto on the second phase, he’ll try to hit you so remember to parry then clobber him with the stomp and a few punches.
For wyvern, listen to the sound of the rockets just before they come near you. That’s the signal to parry. I haven’t seen this until today but wyvern has a laser from its mouth that it does during the second phase. There’s always a sound just before it attacks so be attentive
For knight: I only realised today that you can skip his shield brawl. Just side step to get behind his shield and hit him. Also side step and press the button that initiates sonic’s chase attack. For me it’s R1/L1 and square since I’m a ps4 player. During knight’s second phase, he’ll stay still and take about two hits before trying to knock you to the mountain. Remember to time your party for his counter attack cause he will spam it.
As for his wheel, best to aim and parry it directly on him, from my experience trying to aim the wheel to the side of him ahead of time doesn’t work. That should be everything, hope it helps.
P.S about to try the final boss and apparently you have to perfect parry. I hope not or back to easy mode

I playd the Game,so easy often....no boss rush....no real challenge...dlc came....sonic unleashed and sonic'06 combined,especially with knux. :D
The tower gave me already some headache cuz of reloading when falling....but the final one really kills me,on hard.
thanks sega theres no trophy for beating them on hard....only thing that really annoyd me,with the towers ect....almost no checkpoints and then this perfect parry....respect for making it.

Fun thing is : I get to wyvern's second phase with about 350 rings, and still can't win ! Yes, Giganto and Wyvern's 1st phase with only 50 rings
But somehow I just can't beat Knight in the few tries I make it to him with more than 100 rings
Also, I disabled the battle dramatic camera, the game seems less broken in your video with it, maybe that's why I can't hit my combos.
And you can dodge Giganto's laser ? Didn't know that I was just skipping it with cyloop
You can cyloop Giganto without charging the bar if you just go around him, then phase 2 I quick cyloop before he pulls his laser out, then parry in the air and he's dead, but dodging the laser makes it so much more reliable
Since I learned a lot in this video I felt like I had to share my discoveries as well, maybe I can beat it this time

i havn't been looking at media about the game. playing final horizon i was getting the impression that the fanbase was on their mess again about the game being too easy and the devs pulled out all the stops.
the minor ammount of map that gets revealed, all the guardians having gone through new game +, the puzzle density, perfect parry with no extra rings. I enjoyed the relax play, now i feel like i'm playing a competitive hard mode speed run mod xD

I am officially stuck and unable to progress through the story thanks to this, played too much fromsoftware games to bother trying again.
I pretty sure easy to beat 1 and 3 bosses but the 2nd boss literally is so time consuming u have to parry the missal perfectly then and again with his claw. Same thing with 2nd phase but worse he does it twice. I haven’t beaten the 3 boss I’m sure it little harder then 1st. But nothing can be 2nd boss
The full playthrough should be out shortly. Currently processing at 480p. Anyways I heard alooot of people complain about this challenge and rightfully so, it's a pain in the butt. lol definitely difficult.
On Hard mode you need to be almost frame perfect with your parry timing (I hear easy mode's parry is 3 seconds). This makes Wyvern specifically extremely stressful. Sometimes you can cheese it if you mash parry in a specific pattern. You're best bet is to Cyloop Wyvern so you can get half damage in one run.
I'm waiting that playthrough, I want to watch *yours* first, gameplay is nothing short of _excellence._

This is complete bullshit. The difficulty here feels so artificial. I am beating this bosses as fast as I did, without losing once, in the base game, but because they decided to cap my stats (which I maxed out long time ago) I am stuck at this. I was liking the whole update, even if it felt jankier than the base game, but this challenge is the worst thing they could have done.

Wyvern is the most time consuming and it leaves me with not time to handle Knight, what I found is that if Sonic is positioned correctly and execute two cyloops you can burn through the forst half pretty quickly, the second half on the other hand is way more difficult (boss timings).
Did I mentioned I haven't played these bosses (with the exception of Giganto) since I have girst beaten them?

The low stats and ring count is fine with me but the pain is having to perfect parry specially against wyvern. Either gives us more parry time or give us a slow motion alarm when where suppose to parry.

beaten this trial with 137 rings left. this trial had be stressed the fuck out. literally abuse parry and X/Y special punish.
I really wanted hardest bosses like data battles in KH, however limiting your time and eliminating the Rings is just artificial difficulty.
I would have liked if they added nee moves and abilities for each of them
