    awesome mate thanks alot. the only thing i would suggest is placing the RR & temp numbers if that's what you were encouraging people to consider. I.e. how are we supposed to know it could be due to temperature or RR if we don't know the values.

    Many thanks - I'm a vet too, but a lot of this is still applicable. Shame you can't do the check for bronchoconstriction on a conscious cat very easily (they don't like having things pressed to their face at the best of times)!

    So scenario: if you have a child in sleep with ETCO2 values on stomach in sleep ranging 18-24 RR 18 at lowest and On back ETCO2 values are ranging almost consistent 45 mmhg but range in a clip from 42-48 Wave forms look high hill looking with occasional cleft on back on stomach Hills are low wide and vary a bit in shape. What would you suspect? (I do actually have video clips and I am not trying to obtain medical advice don't worry)

      Christine Galyon I’m not sure. Seems the supine sleeping may be causing some mild
      Airway obstruction. Not sure why they are hypocapneic while prone, but it may not be getting great readings.

    Excellent. Question is how do you do capnography on a nonintubated patient. Seems silly but I deal with animals?Thanks,Peter

    Just sayin', if your shop is diagnosing malignant hyperthermia or hypothermia from capnography, you got a problem!

    • @Meducator01
      @Meducator01  5 лет назад

      Well of course a thermometer is a more appropriate diagnostic tool for those conditions. This is a Capnography tutorial though, not a thermometer tutorial.
