I saw where one of the TINY HOMES went to 84 year old man,, had cancer. It had a toilet in end ,,and a small sink running water,, room for a cot,, maybe a chair. Will be warm!! Praise you Jesus!
We used to drop things we found directly to person or family or to Local Church, it was also a place that handled in kind donations, fed people or even washed their clothes. Just be Kind, treat others as You wished to be treated if it was You. and Say a Prayer or Two for Recovery & Healing

I watched John Ward and his Appalachian channel. He featured Green River Cove community near Saluda NC. What touched my heart were the volunteers that reached out from near and far. A group of workers came from Maryland and Northern Virginia to build a man a shed for a donate him a witerized trailer complete with new bedding and utensils to cook. There was also a man that donated his time and equipment to clear debris and make the road passable. The pantry in Saluda linked them up. Tipper , we serve a mighty God. I will listen again to get the address to send my donations
Thank God I was able to find all my family in this disaster by the 2nd week. I am praying so hard for the families devastated. God Please Cover them with your Hand and help their hearts. Father, You know the truth of whats happening, I pray you Right these Wrongs Lord, being done to your little Children. God you said if we love you, would turn ALL things for our good and your Glory. I dont see how this can be turned but its not my business to figure it out, but to trust you and your ways, knowing that YOU DO hold all of our tomorrows, and you are seeing it all and no one xan hide things from you. Help them, Help Us Lord, in Jesus Name, Touch the sad, sick, hurting, lonley and especially, the lost in Jesus Name. Amen

Tipper it is all so heart crushing.. I have felt guilty for when I have complained over the most mundane things.. these tragedies have humbled me. I always want to thank the LORD for all the blessings he has given me. NOT just when bad things happen. 💔 Last night before putting my phone down on my night stand, the last post I read was from a lineman, he said they came upon this man buried chest deep in mud, they started digging him out. The man said please stop, I don’t want to live anymore they asked him why, he said because my wife and children are gone. They said, we have rescued many, some of those people could be your family! He said NO, my wife and children are underneath me and they stopped scratching at my leg three day ago.. 💔 That turned something inside me. I could only imagine how I would fight and claw to help my children and my grand babies.. I know you CANT move in thick mud.. the horror that was for that man.. and will be forever. 😞I’m am thankful for the dust that can come in my home in a day.. I can clean it.. me complaining over the silliest stuff and then I read this.. it is humbling.. heartbreaking humbling. God bless them all.. God bless you for spreading the word Tipper.. 💔 🙏🏻

Thank God that there are still good people in this crazy mixed up world who are helping each other. It still breaks my heart to know so many who have no place to live anymore. So many who have lost loved ones. In all of the sadness there is joy because God is working in it all so keep those prayers going. 🙏🙏 we need to especially remember those in the high mountain areas that are still trapped in but God is working there too thanks to the helicopter pilots dropping food and medical needs. Hi Tipper, I am so happy you are all well after the terrible storm. We are heartsick about it and have been doing what we can to help from here at home. I wish I could have seen you at Ramsey House. My 4th great grandfather, Thomas Hope, was the architect who designed it. Thomas was born in Kent England in 1757 and immigrated to America as a young man. He designed homes in Charleston before moving to our beloved East Tennessee. It sounds like you and Matt had a great visit in spite of the twisty roads. I feel a bit cut off from home with 40 closed but know they are working miracles to get it all opened back up.
Thank you Tipper. Evergreen Baptist was the church I grew up in till I moved . I lived up in a holler just down the road. We live in Mountain City now about 15 miles from Trade In the same county. What used to take us 20 minutes to get to my Dad's before he died. Now it takes over an hour. We haven't been up there yet. Just saw pictures that family have sent us and on Facebook. We used those in our video. Its heartbreaking. Water is so powerful. So amazing that people are finding their things. We will check out the music. Tipper, I also watched that poor guy that was looking for his Daddy's car, truck and camper. I could also hear and even feel some of the shock he was feeling in disbelief. You could most certainly not only hear but feel what he was going thru. Bless his heart and his Dads....Lord have mercy.
Tipper, I lived in Knoxville 30 yrs The Ramsey House is where school kids got to go on trips there and learn about history. I love NC but I also love the Knoxville area. I graduated from U T and my son has 3 degrees there. I’m so glad you got to go there . The people needed to meet such wonderful people like you. The cook book is wonderful! And i love to use it. I live in Oklahoma. We have such recovery stories from tornadoes. Our local stations would post pictures found. Generally the pictures are found counties away from where they started. Such found items take on an additional story if surviving the storm.

Wanted to share-some people have bought gift cards-on The Mac’s Life channel, she bought a Walmart gift card, it was hacked and Walmart would not do anything….she did a lot of research while trying to get them to replace it and discovered it’s happening A LOT and you lose that money. Walmart will not do anything. So, please take this into consideration if you choose gift cards for storm victims or any gift. A man in her town lost $1500 buying a Walmart gift card just a short time before her. The hackers have a very sophisticated system and take the funds immediately upon purchase.
Yes! This happened to some people I know and myself. The cards were visa from a grocery store. I was able to get the funds back on mine.The numbers are taken off the cards and rerouted to banks in Nigeria.

my family just went down to check on family n friends n my son said as they was going through clyde there was a big round bale of hay stuck in the tree about 20 ft up(round bales weigh about 500 lb dry n its wet so alot heavier ) n my grand babies were amazed how high stuff was in the trees they r 5 n 7 yrs old. thank u Tipper u give such good helpful info!!!❤❤❤

Throughout all of this I have been thinking about the power of water. It is great and can be cataclysmic. But, it is no match for the awesome power of God. For as the waters of a great flood carved out canyons and raised mountains there was hope. God created new beauty out of devastation. When things look most bleak there is hope when we turn our face to God.
Oh, Tipper....I would encourage anyone who hasn't already done so to back up sentimental photos onto some kind of cloud, or at least share a digital file with a loved one who doesn't live in the same area. These are the things that are truly priceless.

I would like to ask for prayers for our family friends up in Black Mountain. Three weeks of no power or water. They got electric restored to them Thursday morning and it burned their home to the ground. They lost their home of memories and their beloved pets. Please remember them in your thoughts and prayers. There are many churches and organizations such as Samaritans Purse, Red Cross, etc that will have Angel Trees or Christmas boxes for kids BUT all that I've found have cutoff ages of 12 - 13, leaving out the older kids from 14 - 18. They may be older but they're STILL kids that have already lost so much and it seems so unfair and heartrending for them to be forgotten at Christmas also. Can you or any of your subscribers provide any information of anybody that is going to have Christmas gifts or 'adopt a kid' for the older kids?
Yes please see if a church group is interested in collecting gifts for older kids. Just one meaningful gift per teenager would be so appreciated. Thank you.

my family just went down to check on family n friends n my son said as they was going through clyde there was a big round bale of hay stuck in the tree about 20 ft up(round bales weigh about 500 lb dry n its wet so alot heavier ) n my grand babies were amazed how high stuff was in the trees they r 5 n 7 yrs old. thank u Tipper u give such good helpful info!!!❤❤❤

Throughout all of this I have been thinking about the power of water. It is great and can be cataclysmic. But, it is no match for the awesome power of God. For as the waters of a great flood carved out canyons and raised mountains there was hope. God created new beauty out of devastation. When things look most bleak there is hope when we turn our face to God.
Sorry I missed you at Ramsey House. Our friends from Knoxville took us there a couple of years ago.
Oh, Tipper....I would encourage anyone who hasn't already done so to back up sentimental photos onto some kind of cloud, or at least share a digital file with a loved one who doesn't live in the same area. These are the things that are truly priceless.

I have to catch up 😢 I missed y’all this morning. Happy this weekend went well !! 🫶🏻🙏🌹 The Ramsey house sounds beautiful. We went to Salem Mass close by. Foliage was perfection. Historic town. One of my ancestors was accused of being a witch long ago. Went to her grave. Warmer like 1921 the weather is. It’s been unseasonably warm in Massachusetts. No snow last year, this winter is supposed to be the same. I won’t be sad if we don’t get the icy streets and sidewalks !!! Thank you for the info on donations. It’s been helpful. Prayer answered for the church!! Fantastic news. Please pray I can adjust to some worsening dementia in the dad I care for alone 24/7. He’s largely ok but it’s happening for sure. He wants to die. He knows he’s declining. 🙏

I would like to ask for prayers for our family friends up in Black Mountain. Three weeks of no power or water. They got electric restored to them Thursday morning and it burned their home to the ground. They lost their home of memories and their beloved pets.

There are many churches and organizations such as Samaritans Purse, Red Cross, etc that will have Angel Trees or Christmas boxes for kids BUT all that I've found have cutoff ages of 12 - 13, leaving out the older kids from 14 - 18. They may be older but they're STILL kids that have already lost so much and it seems so unfair and heartrending for them to be forgotten at Christmas also. Can you or any of your subscribers provide any information of anybody that is going to have Christmas gifts or 'adopt a kid' for the older kids?
Yes please see if a church group is interested in collecting gifts for older kids. Just one meaningful gift per teenager would be so appreciated. Thank you.
