I think they are graceful and amazing little creatures. Do you have them where you live? Here in Minnesota they eat up all the mosquitos on a buggy summer night. In fact a couple weeks ago I was at my parents lake place. I was standing in their yard not getting bit by one single mosquito because I had hundreds of beautiful dragonflies flying all around me. It was amazing! And in the sunlight, their wings reflect such pretty colors.
Thank you for showing how you made these awesome cards. I can see that stamp set going into my cart very soon! Love, love, love dragonflies so a winner with just having them!!
Wow, Love, Love, Love this card, I have made two using the sweet soirée paper and I do not have that punch so I used the much older label punch, then made it wider at the top for the wings of the dragonfly, so pleased how they turned out. Thank you for sharing, Big hugs from the U.K. 🐝🌻
Love the technique and the card is lovely.....I don't have the window punch but I think can find another way so the dragonfly can go through.....your new video technique is perfect....tfs
It's such a fun one to make too! Thanks Terrie. Yes, the retired Word Window punch OR the Classic Label Punch work great. But maybe even just using your trimmer to make a slot.
Love this idea... This is great. Also... Thank you for taking my suggestion on removing the green design on your name paper... i think it has helped some with focus... Love your designs... Thanks for taking the time to share.
I made one of these cards using the same draonfly dies. However if I had used a 2" x 4" of dp on the front and placed the left edge of it at the 5/8" mark before adhering it, the punch would not have been centered. Instead I used a 1 3/4" strip and placed the left edge at the 5/8" mark and it worked perfectly. The left wings extend slightly past the edge of the card but when folded over to mail it's perfect. Love this!
@@stampyourartoutwithrachel I have the Stampin' Up! punch. I think it's called "window punch". It's not in the SU catalog anymore. I made two cards - one with a dragonfly and one with a butterfly. Love them! They're a fun change! Thank you!
@@VBoddicker It is an SU punch and it's current. The word window punch is retired...no longer available. The Classic Label punch is item number 141491.
From Stampin' Up!. This video is from April 2018. So the products listed in the supplies MAY not be available anymore. The dragonfly dies I shared are not.
Beautiful!! and naturally I LOVE dragonflies!! :) I will definitely be casing this technique. The only thing I found myself doing was watching you instead of watching what you were doing when you had both screens up. :) I'm easily distracted! lol
LOL! Your RUclips name says it all. Glad you enjoyed what I shared. And thanks for the giggle. I used to be an elementary teacher, and I can see how this would cause difficulty for the easily distracted. ;)
I tried to order the dragonfly die with Stampin Up and was told it is no longer available and I wanted to know if you would be able to cut a couple of them for me. I will compensate for doing this for me. Please let me know - your card is really pretty!!
Thanks Lynn! I tried a larger font and it didn't all fit on the screen all at once. Did you visit my blog post? I always share the measurements again when I post it. I use the Arkon stand and my apple devices (iPhone, iPad, Mac Book) along with the Switcher Studio app.
They need to bring this punch back...... also Rachel I don't know if you get to see this but I wanted to rewatch yesterday's video and it kept throwing other videos and brought this old one up just thought I'd let you know because I know you were having trouble yesterday
Rachael, I love your cards and ideas. That being said I prefer no picture in picture. I get distracted looking at you and I need to see the whole work-surface. It might eliminate any concerns you have as to whether we can see what your pointing out.
Thank you Debra! So glad you enjoy what I share. Thanks for your thoughts. But I have been told by many that it is very helpful. I've especially heard this from my hearing impaired viewers who read lips.
Oh poo! I heard it's clearer than other videos from Facebook though because of the app I'm now using. Guess the clarity is a Facebook issue unfortunately - not anything I can control on my end.
I have never understood how dragonflies became so popular!

My daughter in law wants a dragonfly instead of a butterfly soooo I’m gonna try this! Thank you Rachel!

Glad you like the cards, Sandra! And I agree! The dragonfly dies are fabulous...a must have even if you haven't done anything with them yet. LOL
Gorgeous card! I have the word window punch which I think will work with your idea! Thanks for the clear instructions.
Someone just tried it and the Word Window doesn't go in as far unfortunately. Glad you enjoyed the card.

Hi Rachel, just loving this card
Thanks Ilene!
What a lovely card. I have seen this fun enclosure technique, but I have to say the dragonfly wins, hands down, for me. TFS
Thanks so much Linda! And I think it's easiest for most crafters since the wings don't angle up like they do with the butterfly.
Can’t wait to try this card😊. New technology is great!
Thanks Marilyn! It's a fun one. I just made more today since I'll be showing a coordinating gift box this Wednesday.
Love this card!

Wow! Such a darling video, fun to watch, learned something new and I am dying to know what type of Camera you are using? LOVE it!
Thanks so much! I'm using apple devices and a program called Switcher Studio to link them all.

Beautiful! I don't have the classic label punch. Will the word window punch work for this technique?
Thanks Patty! I think it should work. It might be slightly narrower, but not by much.
What's the new program? It works great! Maybe a larger font on the supply list? Great card, too. 😁
Thanks Lynn!

Very nice from Pam in Michigan
Thanks Pam!
Do you have a video of the Detailed Dragonfly card using early espresso card stock using glitter window technique?
Cindy Morgan Was it one that I had made in the past? This isn’t ringing a bell.
This card had me searching eBay for that dragonfly bundle.
Great card. What kind of new camera and what tripods do you use? Looking so clear and great

Hi it's Jennifer from Mo.
Thanks for watching Jennifer!
Personally, I prefer not having the picture of the speaker in the frame. I find it covers some details, and is distracting....
Slightly blurry
