Jeremy Irons is a fantastic actor, just wonderful in everything, but he will forever be Scar to me. Amazing interview as always, Jake.
I've also enjoyed reading all the books I'm currently re-reading beautiful creatures thts how much I lovethe series and the movie...just thought I should get it out there...I really hope Alice,Alden,Emmy,Jeremy, and hopefully all the actors and I hope Kami and Margaret see this...thank you💕💕💕🐾⚡☔❄☀

am I the only one that's bothered by the fact that neither Boo Radley nor 16 moons were even mentioned in the movie? like yah, it was pretty, but it's too different from the book that the readers are unhappy, and the script is so poorly put together, that the non-readers are confused and essencially watching a totally different story than the original story (book)
I wasn't confused, but I've never read the books. I thought it was a cute film lol acting was good, few corny moments but to be expected in this genre. Alden and Alice killed it, great chemistry

This guy asks the best questions. He never drifts away from the movie, but still includes the actors' personalities, points of view, and opinions in the interview. Best interviewer ever :D
forbidden love? a witchy woman? the nice guy? we're in. beautiful creatures is incredibly entertaining and engaging for most of its running time and it doesn't completely destroy its earned goodwill by the end!
at 1:43 does she call him aldo (like a nickname), if she did that was really cute.

@@Pepper_Sage It's a typical thing that Aussies do with names...adding an "O" at the end makes an instant nickname. They also have slang words like arvo, evo, journo... But yes, it was really cute. :)

Love this interview! This film totally did the book justice! Great new, upcoming actors with veterans was a great choice! Great questions as always Jake!

Lets just take a moment to appreciate Jeremy Irons.
What I like about Josh's style of interviewing is that he focuses questions outside the actors. I get the sense that he knows that they will get a lot of buss kissing from "let's talk about me" questions that other interviewers will ask, so he makes them think -- not in a metaphysical/sub-context way, but more of a "I want you to talk about the movie ... BUT let's talk about things about it that isn't solely focused on you [insert lead actor]."
DUDE the interviewer had THE best insightful and erudite questions! Great answers from the actors and actresses! That was a great interview- more talk shows should ask these types of questions.

Jake, I'd love to see you do extended interviews, maybe in the 10-30min range. You always say you could talk to these folks all day, well I could watch you do interviews all day.

i have seen so many other interviews like this for the same movies you interview and Jake you are the only guy who ask meaningful questions and give them a bit to think about. and i can really see that you are a movie fan and know what you are talking about and have done your research. i don't usually comment on videos but man please keep this up i would love you to have your own show one day but don't forget the internet when you do ! cheers !

I read the book before the movie and I loved it but I went into the movie knowing it wasn't gonna be the same and personally loved the movie too. People keep complaining but you have to just let your expectations go and enjoy it for what it is. Love them both

I'm actually surprised by what a good interviewer interviewer this guy is. He brings out a bit of smart and interesting in a conservational interaction with these actors/actresses. More interesting than the movie.
I just got Beautiful Darkness, sequel to Beautiful Creatures, and still can't wait to see the first movie. Lol.

Very good questions. Not the typical crap that's asked. You could tell how surprised they were when they were asked and how they enjoyed answering.

OMG! When Jeremy Irons mentioned his son being in The Host I was flabbergasted! I literally kept saying "WHAAAT?" cos I had no idea that was his son! Max Irons is sooo cute btw so you did good Jeremy! hahaha

To paulTVDpetrowa - No, they do not go on date. Alden was at the premiere probably with another girl ( I saw the photo ). I think Alice is interested in him, but Alden is not interested in it. Maybe if the film will continue this film, then they fall in love, because it is often the case.

I felt this movie was pretty close to the book. The ending was messed up, but it was a pretty good book to movie adaptation. The movie is never going to be as good as the book because they are two separate items. I liked the acting and how they were quoting lines from the book. I hope we get a sequel. Great questions Jake!!

The movie was amazing in it's self but compared to the book I felt a little dissapointed because they left out so much. Also I found Ethan really bubbly and that's not how I pictured him. I really liked having Emmy Rossum as Ridley though that was cool and unique. Overall, good movie loved it enjoyed it.
Where did they find these AMAZING actors?!
Sometimes they have to condense two people into one in the interest of time. It's a pacing issue. If they put in yet another character they'd have to set up that persons story, do a little character development so they make sense to the world that's being created and they'd have to spend time resolving that character as well. I was sad when the 'Hunger Games' writers took out a character named Madge who I would have liked to see, but I understood the filmmaker's plight.
My friend has read every book from the author who wrote beautiful creatures

i liked the book better doesnt mean the movie wasnt good just felt like it was rushed so many things happened in the book and the crammed it and made it into movie version smaller to fit but it was okay

I read the book after I saw the movie and I can see why the made the movie the way they did. you really can't put everything in there. So I like both the book and movie but in their own categories.
