I am from Georgia have no attachment to anything Kentucky but I love how he reps where he is from and Louisville. He is authentic and obviously has skill and makes good music he has to grow up with his music to find who he is what he wants to do.
He shouts out a 502 reference on nearly every track, some of which only land if you know what he's talking about, some references mostly only locals understand. It's beautiful really, to not forget where you came from, and do it for us here back home.

5:20 dude so much respect for this man from this response. It reminds me a lot of Tyler the creator in a way where the man transitions so hard from just nasty beats and graphic lyrics to melodic beats and “softer” lyrics because that’s the kind of music he wants to make as an artist. I agree in a sense of the artist should make what pleases them the most and the fans that fuck with them will always fuck with them. That’s how I felt through Tyler’s whole career so far. I couldn’t help but to like everything he’s put out even though the first couple albums are so different from his last. Jack gonna go far for sure. He’s true to the culture.
