I don't think DEF/DEF% is as much of a negative as it's being made out to be. Not that you should *prioritize* it, of course, but considering (assuming the numbers from beta are still accurate) that he eats 75% of his own HP just from his Skill+3 Basics, he only needs to lose a total of 15% of his HP from other sources to max out his Ultimate's damage potential (which caps at 90%), and if you Ult while above 50% HP, the HP lost from casting Ult itself *should* count. So as long as he's at 65% HP or higher when he ults, he should automatically be doing max base damage on his Ult in one Skill cycle even with no incoming damage from enemies. This is even easier to achieve if his Ult takes more than one Skill cycle to reach, as the moment you have to use Skill a second time, he's at damage cap for his Ult and then it doesn't matter when you Ult. TL;DR: DEF may be his least impactful stat, but it's not itself a damage loss to his kit if you roll some in your subs, as his own fixed HP% draining provides most, if not all, of the damage needed to maximize his ult. Otherwise, great points to bring up! Especially countering the "needs to stay at low HP" thing that's going around. That definitely needs to be cleared up xD
Yea, i think like that too. But you need SW if you want play double DPS so you can damage enemy with non elements weakness. I think that people who already have SW on HSR is very lucky. Because you can play just 1 team (hybird elements team or mono team), you will not worry about non elements weakness enemy. Just like if you have Quantum dmg dealer (Qingque or Seele), you can easily progress ur main story from lv1 to lv50++ because monster main elements always or most enemy elements weakness is Quantum/Fire/Lightning. I feel like that because i have alt account that have yanqing and clara at start. Feel more hard to clear if ur level chara not higher than enemy.
This is exaxtly the team im going for. Luocha boosts Blade’s and Jingliu’s performance, and Jingliu also helps Blade with his stacks. For the 4th character im thinking either Lynx or Bronya.
@@theunknown3858 ORRRRRRR if you're so worried about hitting weakness, you only bring both blade and jingliu against enemies that are both weak to wind and whatever type jingliu is gonna be. Bring them seperate otherwise or bring your other dps for other elements. There are other characters in the game and you 100% have other dps as this is a gacha about collecting characters. Silver Wolf is not important in the slightest.
Blade skits similar with clara but more offensive, blade has auto activate talent,so he doesn't really need taunt to get hit to activate talent like clara, the only way clara can trigger her talent 100% is her ult,it likes blade has 2 ults and 2 different energy charge, also every blade skill can give him stack.Furthermore, many way to make blade lose hp(more potential in the future),but only one way to make clara talent trigger is increasing taunt(or share dmg,not sure about that, will have to wait for fu xuan come out),I expect blade will be really good on MoC like clara(top 2 best team in MoC behind seele team right now)
Actually you made a mistake, Blade is not a SP positive character because he can't recover SP with his enhanced basic attacks. It's right there in the description. Blade is a low SP spender because he only needs to spend once every 3 turns, but between this 3 turn-cycle HE WON'T RECOVER ANY SP FOR HIS TEAM. He can't work as a battery because he will always be in the enhanced basic attack state so he'll never recover SP.
Honestly that would be pretty OP if he can just deal big damage while recovering skill points. But still, the fact he won’t decrease the skill point level when using his enhanced normals is pretty nice
He wont create any points but he wont use any either. You are gonna have tons of skillpoints to the point they overcap if you run blade with luocha and example pela/silverwolf. These two will be making 1 skillpoint everytime its their turn. So I would say he is really good with SP. Fourth slot can be a main dps that needs a bit of skillpoints
I don't get why defense is horrible on Blade. Surely even if he has alot, enemies would still deal damage to him when they attack him, enabling his passive.
Its better if he has hp%, crits then atk% cuz he needs crits, plus hp and some atk even tho its really low and also having more hp makes him tanky, there isnt any point of getting def when a hp scaler scales hp

He does more basic than his follow up & ult. Not to forget you'll run hp% rope for dmg where his energy cap is 130. So his ult is slower to build up. He can followup here & there but he's consistent dmg is his basic and he mainly revoles around that playstyle than ult-ing & follow uping. For example, Hu Tao's ult is a huge nuke but her main playstyle comes from skill basic. @@semivivusrex It will depend on the damage formula, so some play testing might be required also dependent on dupes.
