Thanks for watching! Let me know your tips for staying warm whilst camping in the cold! For those of you who were worried about Snø (the husky at the end) don’t worry, he’s Norwegian wind very used to sleeping buried in the snow ❄️ Although on the really cold nights he has been known to come into the tent ⛺️
It feels me with dread if I can’t get a good sleep before a big next day! Sleep is so important normally but can be life or death on the big adventures! (Even if you can only get a couple of hours quality sleep!) Thank you for watching and commenting!
Bathtub or shower - a few trial and errors and you’ll have it sussed! 💃 You’ll learn to be proud afterwards as you get back into your sleeping all cosy and back to sleep!
Funny about the pee bottle - on Kilimanjaro didn't think of preparing for peeing in the night from the altitude sickness pills and we stopped off a shop before the trek- only thing suitable I could find was a childs 'Winnie The Pooh' flask but hey it worked!
Great tips. I found you on Tough Girl podcast today and I immediately subscribed to your channel and insta. On Himalayan treks we tend to drink hot ginger water or just straight chew raw ginger to develop belly warmth. It is also known to help with acclimatization.
Hi Asheini, thank you so much for this - I’ve actually never tried this one but it sounds like a winner! Thank you! Thanks so much for checking out my channel and insta, I truly appreciate it! Right … now to add ginger to my essential kit list..!
I recommend netting base layers. If that doesn’t sound good, thinner merino wool and a breathable shell. As soon as you move you don’t need many layers (even more so if you tend to be v warm). Just be ready to put on the layers as soon as you stop.
@@LucyShepherd thanks. Sadly since the beginning of menopausa i don't have anymore control on my temperature, i can boil or freeze in a matter of minutes and I sweat without control, my t-shirt was permanently wet this past September on hike.

You were my guide camping in Norway when it was -28c and without your expertise I would have turned into an ice cube!
I’m glad I could help! No one wants to be an ice cube!
It's so full circle Lucy what you've achieved is inspiring !!!
It’s funny how things turn out!
Great information here! Sleeping cold or should I say “not sleeping” absolutely miserable especially when you have to hike the next day 🥶🥶

This is so helpful, thank you! I hate getting out in the night to use the loo. May have to start practising in the bathtub like you said :)
