Don’t apologize! I fell in love with everything about a tele decades ago, and still love them wholeheartedly, but I don’t expect everyone to feel like I do about anything, much less a guitar!
I've done a few teles and other builds from pine and they have always sounded good. Never done a pine neck, good luck with that 😄 I'm thinking carbon rods and plenty of them!!
Looking forward to this. A regular Tele can be a bit of a lump. Even some of the best Tele players (Robben Ford!) thought they were a bit ugly and never wanted one until they played one ...
I have a tele knockoff from AIO that has a 7 piece through neck. Neck and back are just satin clear coat to show off the wood and side panels are painted black on the front. I bought this guitar thinking of your through neck guitars. I have seen you build amazing necks going all the way through the guitar. I love the multi-layer through neck look. It seems so solid and so comfortable where the neck meets the body. Of course mine has none of the mods you spoke of. No multiscale, not headless, no belly carve or angle for where your forearm rest on the guitar, and whatever else you come up with.
AT first i thought : hey interesting idea, but it's been done (by Fender, for one). But then i saw your design, and i thought : oh, OK, that's what he meant. THAT's the way to do it. That's brilliant !!!
I do like the body shape it looks good as far as I am concerned. If you really want to hack some people off if the grain pattern is alright on the wood you have you could make the finish either clear or have a semi transparent tent of color but still allows the grain to show through.
Don't worry about what people think what you want to build. I built a guitar with a poplar neck, which my son has, and it's still perfect. I do love a butterscotch tele though. Even if the Fender have is candy apple red.
You are Absolutely right across the board. Leo made them to WORK and be WORKED ON. Nothing Fancy. There are Better Designs and Ergonomics but that's not what the originals were made for. Keep on Keeping on man. And...... We need to get John 5 to try it when you are done.
Bonehead finally goes ultimate Mate pine should work for the neck, I did a whole neck from mostly pine end grain, I did put some carbon fibre in there though and pussed out and put 8-38 strings on there 🤣
I've never owned an actual Fender Telecaster, although I own a couple of cheapo knock-off versions. One is really awesome actually, and one is just a piece of wall art, it's not good for much else.
@@BoneheadGuitars My favorite guitar that I used to own was my BC Rich Mockingbird. That body shape was and still is awesome to me. Music, art, guitar shapes, it's all subjective, I'm not offended at all, haha.
Are you mocking Tele People? I Theenk you were mocking Tele Peoples! Tele Peoples are peoples too! Tele Peoples can love their particular slabs of wood as much as any other guitar players. I Theenk you may be jealous you dont have one yet. Seriously I like the fun you are having with this already. Just be sure to seal the life outta that wood other wise paint is never gonna stick. Sap bubbles area thing.
You shouldn't be apologizing for not like Fenders. Fenders are crap. Neck joint is like two overlapping 2x4's bolted together and they can be racked from side to side. String trees are a patch for a design flaw. Telecasters especially are minimal, basic awkward, ugly guitars. But watch out for the gullible magical guitar fanatics. Tonewood is a made-up BS term. All the crap these people come up with is excuses for not being good players.
I don't wanna hurt anybody's feelers. But guitar people are pretty hard set in their ways. Unfortunately those ways are extremely narrow. Baby steps. lol

I'm a tele guy myself, but I do get your point :) Love the design and can't wait for the result! Keep rocking 🤘
I’m stoked for this one man. Mainly because you are so against it😆🤘
im onboard. this is gonna be epic.
A pine Telley cool and a floor board fretboard cool !
So cool!!!
Design looks good. I mean, it's no ice cream sammich guitar, but it'll do.

I've actually done a couple and they seemed to be just fine. Don't know how well they aged though...

Yeah, I just don't wanna run anybody off. I don't have extra subs to spare lol

Mother of god youve done it, I knew it would be ultimate.
Considering Unsubbing for the bubly 🤣 but gonna stay for the bonehead belly
Bonehead finally goes ultimate

I've done a couple actually and every thing was just fine.
A photo of a Tele on a bonehead video thumbnail! 😱
You should call it the Cellecaster because the cell phone was the upgraded version of the telephone.
I quite like the look of a tele, apart from the ugly big bridge plate. Interested to see how tele this tele turns out.
Yeah, the giant blocky heal I've never been a fan of.
“The lease tele-ish tele ever tele’d” 😂

There are a lot of people that love theirs. Maybe I would if I had one of the good ones. I've just never been a big fan of the look.

I gotta agree. Never been a big fan of Fender design & construction.
I know it's your project, but I think it would be cool if you painted the front and stained the back of the 2 X 4 Pine Tele....

That's solid advice 😂

Feeding their delusions doesn't help anything. The truth hurts sometimes. Remember when you found out that Santa Clause doesn't exist? 😄
@@Cannonbawlz And that's why we're making a better one out of garbage. 😂🤣😂
