Mine too literally water entered my lens and I thought the camera has broken but after one to three days. The water condensed and it didnt even stain the lens.
I have a 7 years old Xperia which I use as a backup phone; it still works properly.

I feel sony is getting their shit together. Finally. From an avid photographer hobbyist, I'm glad theyre implementing the eye autofocus in their phones. It's insanely good on their cameras. With a little more effort, Sony will crush the the competition. Tho I'm a bit surprised it's taking them this long seeing how wide their scope is in the tech world
also the samsung note 10 is pretty high end and the xperia 5 is suposed to be between the xperia 10 and 1 so i think it ll be cheaper
also the meganpixel dont really matter because i have 18 and my sister has 13 and her pics look always better
also has the xperia cinema pro which is a lot lot better than the samsung photo software
but also i am a sony fanboy so probably its just me😁😁😁...

This time I have a Sony Xperia Xa one Plus I have been using this for over a year so still no problems came up I love Sony.
I am not sure how important these technical differences are to the average consumer looking for a great phone. Actually, there isn't much to separate them. Both great options, BUT even respecting Samsung and their pedigree, I think the Sony Xperia 5 is still a worthy-and better-choice, especially when you wade through the various contract offers from phone companies. In the end it is entirely personal preference, but I am upgrading to the Xperia 5 next month. If you rely totally on sites that recommend the best phones (including Which? who have never given any Sony model a recommendation!) then you could be forgiven for thinking Samsung were the only models to buy.
True-Sony never seem to market their phones as strongly as Samsung, and yes-some models are great but not quite as good as the competition . But-the Xperia 5 is quite an amazing phone, and should be promoted more by Sony as it is an excellent alternative to the Samsung 10/10 plus. This is just a general comment, not based on in depth performance compared with other phones, and I have no particular brand allegiance!

This reviewer is biased, wether he would like to admit it or not. You really can't compare these two devices by simply punching in some numbers and stats. In real life Sony's Oled display wins hands down by sheer color quality, ppi density, resolution, etc ( and I do own the XPeria 1 with its 4k wonderful display, after previous mainly Samsung Galaxy phones ).
My XPeria 1 phone has only a 3300 Mah battery vs a 3500 battery on the S10 plus and still has no issues in powering the phone for a full day, no matter the usage levels. That's because Sony really know how to impliment battery optimization whereas Samsung has absolutely no clue what they're doing here. It's actually hilarious: S10 with lower res screen and more powerful battery vs Sony 4k scrren and weaker battery, the performance is almost equal.
Then there is Samsung crapping lots of useless bloatware on our throats, needlessly draining more battery power whereas Sony just includes a clean instance of Android letting me decide what to install and what not.
I've owned only Samsung phones in the last 10 years or so, but I'll never go back to that having experienced now what Sony can really do in terms of quality.Samsung does know how to market themselves much better, I'll give them that but when between their new phones and Sony's they don't have a real product.

I have used sony Sony z1, z2, z3, z4 or z3plus called in some regions and that one was outright robbery , the camera would heat up and shut down with in 3 minutes since 2015 I switched to Samsung note and have owned almost every note after note 5 . Honestly there's no comparison between Sony and Samsung, Samsung is hands down a better phone
The battery one is deceiving. The sony has a smaller battery, but the charging set up makes sure your battery lasts longer.
