"if I wanted a crazy glowing plastic, I nailed it here" HAHAHAHAHHA XD This is a really great video - specular transmission has changed MY LIFE. i'm not kidding. THANK YOU!
Hi Richard, I really enjoy and benefit from your sharing. Thank you very much for this. I just started to use Keyshot and is amazed by the capability. I do have a question on the procedural texture. The example you demonstrated at 52:46, does the texture affect the light that is coming "through" the glass as well as the light reflect from the surface?.
Any thoughts on how to have a specular map on a glass material in Keyshot? for instance fingerprints on the glass... I can do this with plastic but not glass... Should i just use a label with a different material?
+Jody Carlos Borrageiro No problem! This has also been talked about on the KeyShot forum in the past. May want to look at some of the topics there on it. And share what you're working on while you're there!
the answer to the question about alpha channel, is 100% accurate, maybe with a backplate but alpha is just wrong for the material, because of the bending of light/imagery, that's not how light physics work.
The planar collision of a clear and a solid was the game changer. You are a true internet hero. Thank you.

sir really thankful and subscribe for the great video, i get my point only in 11 minutes. salute
can you maybe post the hyperlink in here for the alpha transparency that the Eduardo was asking about? thanks you
Very informative.. thanks for sharing your knowledge😊👍
AMAZING so informative video.
i had to smile when i saw the 46 cores btw :)
how do i create a transparency cloth?
7:10 in the new version of keyshot 8.2, ray bounce is under lighting menu
What solid piece of glass mean here? 23:10

+Jody Carlos Borrageiro Yes, labels (with transparency - a png or tif file format) are the way to go with this.
KeyShot
Thanks for replying so quickly, Guess the renderer isn't the only fast thing on offer from keyshot :)

There's no "camera" option under the gradient (1:10:00) in keyshot 5.0. When was this introduced?
+Gerard Umbert @keyshot reply please
+Gerard Umbert 5.3 will have it. It has been changed to 'View Direction' in KeyShot 6.
KeyShot thanks, good to know about the 6 name change.
