When it comes to making and keeping friends…..that’s honestly such a roller coaster. I mean you really think about it, nobody really knows who each other truly is, even childhood besties who share everything together. You really do have to kind of keep your guard up in a way, even around those who you consider as your best friends because you just never know. Always trust your intuition when it comes to making friends.

Yesss to the engagement question. My boyfriend and I have been together since we were 20 (we’re now 29) and 2 kids later, we both did not want to get engaged or married until we were financially able to have the kind of celebrations we both wanted to have with our families so we never put pressure on getting engaged and really focused on our family and careers first. . Now that our kids are starting to grow up, we re discussed the topic and both feel like it’s finally time to take that next leap. This entire 8+ years of not being engaged we’ve had a healthier relationship than most people I know that are married so it really is just so specific to each couple!
