In conversation with Dayab Kyabgon Loden Sherab Rinpoche
Dayab Kyabgon Rinpoche came to exile with HH the Dalai Lama in 1959. Rinpoche served CTA (then Tibetan govt-in-exile) in various capacities. Rinpoche directed Tibet House New Delhi from 1964 to 1966 and later founded Tibet House Germany in 2005. In this section of ‘Art and Culture’, we sat down with Rinpoche to talk about his adherence to not reincarnate, booming “Tulku Inflation” and Tibetan Buddhism in general.

Such a great and wise Rinpoche has taken a big decision. I solemnly respect you. In our society, we have many fake lamas and rinpoches for economic reasons, which of course is not good for future generations. In 21st. the century we can not have two or three same lamas to different individuals.

I have lots of respect for Buddhism ..but I wonder if personal pursuit for freedom is an appropriate activity in time when your bigger self “your country is in trouble “
Sad to report as Rinpoche stated many Rinpoches disrobe. And we ordinary beings left to wonder .. is that the best you can do ???? For coming back ??… of course I am receptive for clarification
