This is the strangest mix of instruments and music style I've ever listened to. The lyrics are sooo beautiful, I seriously can't stop listening to this song. I recommend headphones for full immersion 🎆 2:12 is this humanly possible?
The instruments are just violas, violins, and cellos playing a quintet (or something) in the same octave. Honestly it sounds like something shostakovich if not stravinsky would come up with, the beginning.
Yeah, the first bit was really intriguing and towards the end the piano chords really complimented and provided contrast to the piece.
The voice sounds like Azura from Fire Emblem Fate, the purification song... It's so beautiful
If you like this one, I encourage you to take a look at Auvic's channel, he's posted everything he's done for the past few years, and there are a lot of hidden gems in there. He has a thing for traditional instruments mixed with artificial sound. Although he does everything on a computer, he certainly has a unique style.

I'd be down to see a modernized Inuyasha as a kid in a reversed isekai universe where an older Kagome is from the past and goes to the future.
But, this Projekt Red is nice too though.
Hooked from the first note, and while listening I came up with a story idea/"trailer" that can follow the music (it's hard to explain the timing, so I'll just put what I got lol)
Eyes shoot open, as it shows someone running through a forest. They keep looking back tripping along until they're near the edge of the forest. They reach up to block the blinding light, but step into a flash of a futuristic city. A second later, they're back at the forest's edge, standing in a prairie. They hear whispers, and spin around to try and find its source. It overwhelmes them, and they close their eyes, to open them in a room where they were on a bed. There were a few people there, looking worried. They hear "talk to me, talk to me, talk to me now" and find themselves at the window, now glancing around. "I hear you, I hear you, I hear you call out" rings as the scenery flashes a few different places, stopping to them sitting in a school, still looking out the window. The look away, to their hands, and they shut their eyes and reached out, the view backing from them to show them in the field again. They concentrated, and felt like they grabbed something in the air, peeking to see a handle in their hand. As soon as it appeared, it disappeared, air replacing it. They look at their hands, then tried again, this time not looking. They grabbed the handle again, slashing in front of them before looking. A sword was in their hand, but just a faded outline. The grass ahead was cut down. They turn to the forest, and begin to head to the growth. Every few steps, the world changes. They start to move faster, going with the changes until it changed to what they wanted. Worlds flew by as they slid, slashed and maneuvered through them. Wastelands, cities, civilizations, ghost towns, anything and everything. They come back to the field. It's silent, and they hear steps behind them. Turning with blade in hand, they see another person, who has a similar weapon, similar air about them.

This person offers a haven for their kind. The first hesitates, thinking of people they'd be leaving behind, the world they'll leave. Soon enough, they grab the other's hand. They run along, through the many worlds. The first starts to doubt, as well as hearing whispers to turn back, to not trust this unknown. The two continued as the person said they were almost there. Stopping just before a bright light, they fall into a water world. Diving and changing worlds, the person pursues them, and they run back through their path as the first evades. They get cornered, having to fight the person. -skips to after, the first alone and bandaging up, it's more quiet- The worlds flashes in front of them (they're looking back to them), and they turn, walking through the field, slowly.
It sounds like the song belongs on an anime OST, I'm really diggin' it.
To me it almost more sounds like a bullet hell boss fight

Idk if someone will reply, but every time I come back to listen to the song, it reminds of Tower of God (I used to read the manga while listening to my playlist, and this song was at the start every time, so...).
Honestly, music doesn't usually remind me of much. I used to have synesthesia as a child, and I still have it mildly. This makes me to usually imagine colours and structures when I hear music instead of concrete images. Strings have always been different shades of orange for me for example, while Caroline Kim's singing here is light-blue with a soft "texture".

This is where only the viola can sound good, although it would be inexplicably hard to do the runs designated to be in the upper echelons of the violin on the a string. I'm pretty sure that's a viola with a cello in the support.
