Some drivers use the clutch, but it seems to cause a lot more clutch problems. Personally, once I get into second gear I never touch the clutch again. Up or downshifting only requires that you take the torque off the shift dogs long enough for them to move.
This may be a stupid question, but do you use the clutch when downshifting in these things? I've seen some in-car videos of some of the European legends car drivers and they appear to be left foot braking, no clutch... Anyway, nice video and good race!
How is it that you can completely blow the braking into the hairpin, get freight trained, be like 10 - 20 car-lengths behind the leaders, and then be on their asses before you get to turn 2?

blow the braking? thats called NAILING the braking. thats this guys biggest strength in this race
