Own one of the UV70P made in Indonesia premium guitars and really don't understand why everyone complains about them not being Japanese quality its easily the best guitar I've ever owned.
Almost impossible to get them in South Africa, most guitars are out of stock here and nothing on back order. Appreciate the selection and availability of guitars you have in first world countries.
Tuxedo. Great review! Found you because I'm considering one of these in Prussian Blue Metallic. Thanks for spending so much time on the clean and mid-gain tones!
For the same cash I'd also consider a Schechter AM6 (better in some ways), or a Cort G300 pro. They're all made by Cort in the same factory very likely
Thinking of adding one of these just to have something that inspires totally different playing to my much more classic guitars. Might be a good idea, might not be lol. Also Andy - your playing has got ALOT better since this video so nice one!
I have been eyeing up one of these in the Prussian blue at my local store, I mostly like metal and will probably end up with a Schecter or something but this Torpedo AZ is just so comfortable and it keeps drawing me back to it. Maybe I'll need another guitar for when I feel like playing something bluesy.
Thanks for the honest review. Enjoyed it. I wish it had a maple top to add a little bit more high frequencies and make it even more versatile. Tuxedo 🤘
My dream guitar! But its so expsensive! ($2100 australian dollars) I don't know if I should spend this much and be responsible for such an expensive peice of equipment, but I can't stop thinking about it. It has all the specs that I need and looks beautiful! What should I do??
Hey RoryMon. Don't spend money you don't have but if it's possible to try this guitar and it helps you make music, I am sure there would be a way to fund it by selling other gear or something like that
English dude, Mike here, sorry but I can't remember your name but I watch a lot of your vids...anyway 2:27 No, sorry but Ibanez did not change that. The Premium range comes with the pin-wheel MG-T locking tuners and the Prestige range comes with the magnum lock HAP tuners that you unlock from the front. I have 3 AZ Prestige it's the guitar I spent my life looking for. If you're ever in Lisbon, Portugal, we can have a jam session.
Tuxedo, there I said it! Finally a guitar with very distinct and different sounds on the selector switch. Begs the question, why does it have a tone control, it seems to be superfluous.
Love this video, thank you. Long time subscriber here. Just have a question if anyone can help. I'm after buying one of these, I have a PRS SE that i love. Is the neck on this more playable than an SE. Thank you. Hi from the UK.
Pitch, piano and vanta are all nice colors but tuxedo is a personal favorite of some of my other worldly associates. You may know them as the Men in …. Wait what we’re not supposed to to talk about them!?!
not a fan of that cheap trem block, but they have to cut corners somewhere, i dare say this guitar looks better than my AZ 2402 prestige, i like the covers on the pickups too wish mine had it, i might go for one of these in the future
Tuxedo. Every time you said alter switch I thought Altar Bridge. No idea what they sound like as I e never heard their music but that just kept happening for some reason!
The luminescent side dots are just for show they don't glow. I'm being serious, they only glow on the Prestige, just look at your AZ and look at the dots on the Premium.
Nice oroduct showcase of the ibanez premium AZ line! :) You could also take a look at the Cort line, the G300 pro is basically the ibby AZ premium on a budget.... Btw are you still selling the Fender PP in aged candy red?
Really want to check out the HH like this. I saw a sss locally and it looked great, but didn’t have time to plug it in. This sounds really good. Aces, Andy. 🤘🏻
£300 NECK LOADED + 400 LOADED body that's £699 or £799 with every one taking their cut. (Courier, manufacturer and guitar store) 800 max. That's what I am thinking anyway
@@TheGuitarGeek you can't give away all my secrets here. What's next? Talking about my Yacht or my 911 Porsche? You gotta keep it a bit more private, ok buddy?
My RG1221 premiums finish quality is obsolete shite. The edge of the fretboard looks like a rat clearanced the frets. And it has a plastic nut, PLASTIC nut on a $1400 guitar. But dont get me wrong I LOVE IT! It rips and sounds so good. But It showed me prestige from now on.
Every guitar that isn't made in china and costs more than 400$ is good and this is an amazing guitar but I don't like this pickups they are bit too loud

I've just pulled the trigger on a used az premium. Fingers crossed it's a good one!
Sorry forgot Tuxedo.
Almost impossible to get them in South Africa, most guitars are out of stock here and nothing on back order. Appreciate the selection and availability of guitars you have in first world countries.
Actually most guitars are out of stock here. "Available in six months" or so.
Definitely dig the look! Reminds me of Pete thron’s signature suhr.
I need to try that Suhr!
That is one sharp looking guitar! definitely want to try some Ibanezezezez when I see some in a guitar shop.
You should!
Tuxedo. Great review! Found you because I'm considering one of these in Prussian Blue Metallic. Thanks for spending so much time on the clean and mid-gain tones!
The reason the trem arm clicks is because you haven't pushed it in all the way down. You need to push it down until it clicks into place.
For the same cash I'd also consider a Schechter AM6 (better in some ways), or a Cort G300 pro. They're all made by Cort in the same factory very likely

Thank you for the great, great review of this great and beautiful guitar!
Andy, I feel you need to do a record. Your intros are breathtaking.

Thanks for the review!
It is essentially a Suhr Pete Thorn Signature for a third of the price. Wilkinson locking sadles on that puppy and it would fix the tuning issues!
This guitar needs to come with a Tuxedo!
Thanks for the honest review. Enjoyed it. I wish it had a maple top to add a little bit more high frequencies and make it even more versatile. Tuxedo 🤘
AZ2404 in rose might be my next guitar. But im concerned about tuning stability without a locking nut and a trem
Great review! Was thinking of getting the prestige, but this one looks solid and then I can use the cash for the effects…
Thanks a lot from Belgium

What should I do??
Look at the Suhr Pete Thorn signature, very similary specs and wil make this one seem like an absolute bargain!
Hey RoryMon. Don't spend money you don't have but if it's possible to try this guitar and it helps you make music, I am sure there would be a way to fund it by selling other gear or something like that
Same boat here in South Africa. And there is hardly any stock here.
I recently got this guitar it’s worth it for sure
The humbucker covers acctually changes the tone slightly. You loose some top end with the covers on.
can you take those off?
Yes you can

It is hard to quantify such a subjective question. What could be playable for me could be awful for you.
@@TheGuitarGeek Hi thanks for the reply, yes, I knew you'd say that to be fair. Your right. Thanks.
I have an rga made in Indonesia and the fretwork is out of this world
Another nice video Thanks! Is there a plastic cover over the top Humbucker? Does this affect the tone? Kind regards
It's metal and it does effect the sound
Going into drop d for one song is not and option for a non locking floating trem.
Does the sound go for everyone at around 14:40?
Yes, RUclips had a copyright claim.
@@TheGuitarGeek I would take that as a compliment.

Vanta is my favourite
Would it be easy to swap out the pickups? They look like they have a larger cutout or something which would be bad if I just put in regular humbuckers
Good honest review, it sounds like a torpedo in a Tuxedo. Smooth and rather silky. Not what I expected.
Thanks for watching!

Thanks I will! And yes I am PP
Great review! Thanks for that. TOXIDO :)
Which type of PU for the twang HSS / HH ? thank you Great Video.. #tuxedo
Just a heads up. Some stainless steels are non magnetic c: Nice review btw
Also… Tuxedo
Brilliant review. Tuxedo
Hello! Will this guitar go for metal or do I need to change the sensors????
I'd prefer a rosted maple fretboard instead of the rosewood one for more looking tuxedo 😎

Thanks for pointing it out. I guess we have been calculating it wrong for decades then 😉
But how do you afford your weekend house in Malibu with prices so cheap?
@@TheGuitarGeek you can't give away all my secrets here. What's next? Talking about my Yacht or my 911 Porsche? You gotta keep it a bit more private, ok buddy?
man, you should try Soloking guitars... 500 bucks made in Indonesia, absolutely mindblowing even against 3k Suhrs 😂😂
I would love to!

That black... something to really looked at
Really is!
It's awards season and this guitar can definitely rock a Tuxedo!!! :P
This would sound a helluva lot better if you took the plastic off the pickups.
No it wouldn’t
Well dressed in that tuxedo... Gives me Suhr vibes
yes, a lot of people have commented on the Suhr vibe. I am yet to play a Suhr.
Tuxedo for the algorithm!
Bless you Paul!
Imma buy this then repaint it to White :)
I’m buying a JS240PS and painting it white. 🙂
That's a perfect guitar to play while wearing a tuxedo 😉
Hey Dale! I do actually own a tux...
Right now they aren't getting too good, too expensive maybe. Not saying they can't be decent guitars though.
"Tuxedo" it sounds good
I think Indonesian Made more better than chinese Made,i Don't say Chinese Made is not better but i can feel the different between them.
Every guitar that isn't made in china and costs more than 400$ is good and this is an amazing guitar but I don't like this pickups they are bit too loud
I’ll remember that every time I review something now
Nothing as nice as a tuxedo black guitar.
Heck yes!
Nope.. two too many frets for me.. they don't pay me enough to play anything that high :)
You get paid? Awesome!
Made in Indonesia....the best in the world
Looks great but I didn't like the sound.
Fair enough!
An apropriate guitar to play while in mourning.
or in the evening
Tux is doooo 😉
This guitar really sells how bloody tall you are - it looks like a toy, aha
Lol you must be pretty tall that thing looks like a toy on you 😂
Turbo Tuxedo!
Are Turbo Are Tuxedo Are

Tuxedo Torpedo
boom!
