Truman Triumph: Trent White named a 2024 Truman Scholar

East Tennessee State University’s Trent White learns of a surprise announcement from President Brian Noland.
White, a graduate of Unicoi County High School, is one of 60 students nationwide to earn a 2024 Harry S. Truman Scholarship, becoming the fourth student from ETSU to earn the rare distinction. White was one of 193 finalists nationwide and the only recipient from an institution in the state of Tennessee.
