Peter has always been my favorite Apostle, reading the Bible and seeing how HUMAN he was, always making mistakes, being impulsive, making wrong decisions, thinking, feeling, acting EXACTLY like a human full of flaws and yet he loved the Lord with all his heart and he bacame a brave, strong and wise man who spread the Gospel to every corner of the world. Thank you to Shahar for portraying Peter in such a powerful way 💗
I always cry when he says, “where would we go, you have the words of the eternal life.”
I love how Peter shows almost every stage of the Christian. From "Oh yes, I should believe it? Right...", through "Wow, it's great! I'm all yours, Lord!", to "Why is this happening to me? Why me?". And there are still many things ahead of him like "I don't know this man"...

Simon (soon to be Peter) is just such an authentic character. Shahar is fabulously talented and his portrayal of Simon has been exquisitely impressive! He is a hero in the story - that rises, then falls, then rises to new heights. The ebb and flow of life. S3 E8 is by far my favorite for the sneak peek of the depths of Shahar’s acting! Excellent !!! ❤❤❤
We agree; Shahar does an amazing job of capturing Simon.
I love the part when Jesus tells Peter to let the net back down and once it’s down Peter gives Jesus the “told you so” look, but Jesus gives it right back with a little corner of a smile then the net is totally filled with fish. It reminds me of the times I have said well ok Jesus I did what you asked and look where it got me, nothing. Then later when something really good happens beyond my expectations, it’s like I can hear deep in my heart and “look what happened now”. I knew without a doubt it was Jesus letting me know, See, all you had to do was obey, trust and wait. Jesus always blesses his people beyond our expectations when we obey his words, trust him and wait. Sometimes the waiting is the hardest and things might not happen as we hope or planned, but they are always for our good and his glory. God knows what is best for us and it’s not always what we think it is.

I stumbled upon The Chosen after a difficult time in my life, I've been battling a bunch of physical and mental issues almost since my birth and by our Lord's will I am finally healing. Mom hardly makes it through an episode without crying once or twice, and by the looks of it she would adopt Matthew if she could😄 And I love Simon and his dynamics with Jesus and Eden (my second fave!!). As we watch the show we remember the time we visited the Holy Land together, we love discussing all the Gospel and historical references. And time and time again we're reminded how magnificent our Lord is and how much we love him. As an aspiring artist and writer, I hope to create something as meaningful someday, too. May Dallas and The Chosen team be blessed for this gift!

Never has Peter been cast and written so perfectly in any tv/film media in my opinion. & With such dimension. So glad to be on this journey with him via The Chosen. And have it speak to me in ways i didnt anticipate. But then again the show does this with everyone. And we're better for it. Absolutely thankful for this show with all of my being. Because God is doing such an amazing work through for all that would receive it.

Although I know season 4 is coming and it will probably break my heart into a few more pieces, I have to say that the season where Simon and Eden went through that trial together was probably the most impactful for me. So many soul tears

@@79spidermanboy24it’s the lead up and persecution of Jesus and His apostles that’s going to be prominent this season and it’s going to be painful to see. Beautiful as well, but S4 and forward is going to be gut wrenching.

There’s a lot to fill in for the apostles/disciples during the 3 days before the resurrection. Just watching the preview of this upcoming season makes me tear. The story of Peter Simon is so good and it's so relatable and the way Eden is exposed in the chosen series is so amazing 🤩 and the walking in the water scene is so stunning 🎉

I love it. Simon Peter. He was there to preach when the Holy Ghost filled the Israelites who were in the upper room. He was there to preach and baptize when the Holy Ghost filled the Gentile Cornelius, of the Italian band, and those in his house.

One of my favorite parts of the bible and of the Chosen was when Yeshua told Simon to throw the nets back in the water..... there is a cafe in my city named Cafe 157. It's named for that part of the bible where research showed that there were 157 types of fish in that water. Yeshua said He was a fisher of men and He wanted men to be fishermen to be fisher of men for God.

It just occurred to me that the storm/mikvah scene makes me cry so hard, because I am immediately reminded of all the times I "just happened" to feel led to pray for someone as they "just happened" to be going through a crisis & vice versa as someone "just happened" to be praying for me 😥😢😭 And this was before cell phones y'all.
