My bread and butter is Drop C and A (7 string guitar!) since I'm in a melodic death metal band. It's always so fun stepping back outside of my small little world of metal and looking at the instrument as a whole again, seeing people talk about my dumb little corner of music in such an interesting way.
Check out early Kings X albums for awesome drop D goodness from Ty Tabor. Beautiful open ringing notes singing out over powerful chord slabs. They dropped lower in later albums.

Tom, just discovered you, thanks 🙏 for all the great info. I tuned my Orangewood baritone acoustic to dadgae and it sounds great but now I don’t know what to do, any tips?

@@TomStrahle Ah thanks man! I appreciate it!
Great video Tom. So many good songs in drop D. Maybe do a video on double drop D some day. Congrats on 102K subs.

Bruce, which drop D book do you have? I'm looking for a good one and maybe one on DADGAD.
Keith Richard used it on Loving Cup where he capoed on fifth fret.
