BTW....my best time is under one minute! You can beat me!
The trick to getting these types of speed distance time calculations is to think of the times used as fractions, and then apply the time formula (time = distance/speed).
Other questions can be solved using basic logic. To donate to the tecmath channel: paypal.me/tecm... To donate to the tecmath channel: paypal.me/tecm...

Hi, thank you for making this video. The fraction method is very useful however I am struggling to use it for the following questions: How long does it take to complete journey of 20 Miles travelling at 16MPH? Why am I not able to get the correct answer following your method? I am unable to see my mistake... any help appreciated... thanks

From the same website.... is there a chance of being able to do a follow up on the Fuel Consumption test please? would be massively appreciated

      Let me explain here.
There are two ways we can think of fuel consumption.
      1) A car uses 12L/100km. It goes 275km. How much fuel is used? 275km/100 means there are 2.75 lots of 100km, each using 12L of petrol.
      2.75 x 12 = 33 litres
      2) A car gets 8.8km per litre.
      i) How many litres to travel 330km?
      330/8.8 = 37.5 litres.
ii) What is the fuel consumption in L/100km?
      100 / 8.8 = 11.36 litres/100km
      Hope this helps.

At the age of 31 as a kid I had trouble with math... algebra I hated. I dropped out! Now, looking towards getting my GED. I wish you were my teacher back then, you make it seem so easy. Thank you so much❤️

Although this method was useful, my school already taught this. They must have taken inspiration from you 🤣🤣

I found these questions pretty easy... the answer is always simple fractions or multiplication. The trick is realizing that you ca reframe the question and then apply a simple calculation to get the answer.

u dont necessarily have to reframe any of the questions just plug and chug. They give u two givens and a formula all u have to do is plug those numbers in.

At 11:10 where do you get the 12 to use to break down the improper fraction? Is it just because its an easy number that divides into both?

science uses math to explain their behaviors otherwise it would just be philosophy. we see rates in mathematics a lot and they can be applicable in real life.
