EXCITED YELL It's finally done!! My second ever M.A.P., and one of the first of its kind to be completed! This project has been incredibly meaningful to put out at last, everyone did an incredible job and I'm honored I got to work with a group of such skilled people!
I hope you're all proud of your work, and I hope you enjoy the M.A.P.!
Q&A
Q: Why does this video look sort of incomplete?
A: The project was to be done in the format of a storyboard/animatic, which is the basic planning of a scene and not necessarily all of its final components. How this may be done varies from artist to artist, so some parts may look different from others! But, everyone did a MARVELOUS job!
Q: What's a M.A.P.?
A: M.A.P. stands for Multi Animator/Artist Project. It's when a group of people come together to animate an AMV! That's why all the stories and characters are different, they're the properties of various artists!
Q: I asked for a part when the host video was posted, but why didn't I get one?
A: The focus of this project was one's skill with storytelling as opposed to animation. I'm sorry I couldn't have chosen you, but please don't be upset! Work hard and maybe you can be in another M.A.P.!

Has any one noticed that blue eyes are the most common in art but in real life it's the least common?
Yep! Often has a sharp contrast against designs, good for defining expressions
Yeah, I tend to avoid blue eyes with a lot of my characters, but it is a really nice eye color, and like Quail said, it's usually got a good contrast on designs.
I always use green eyes lol it's kind of a bad habit

I am BLOWN AWAY by this storyboard MAP. Each storyboard flowed so well into the next, it was cinematic. Each one told a story in a short time, but still left some mystery, and they went with the song. I am so inspired by this. I have wanted to become an animator for a long time, but I've been too scared that no matter how hard I try, I will never achieve it. But this opened my eyes and made me think that all of you that made this had to work for a long time to get where you are, and that if I ever want to animate, I gotta start now and build up my skill for years. Sorry for trailing off, anyways, I am in love with this so much and thank you all for making such a wonderful collaborative storyboard MAP!!!
Starting animating is always the biggest scary step. It always feel like you will never be as good as everyone else and it will feel like everyone else is so much better than you but once you start you're already half way there. A lot of people will tell you to just practice but if you also study theory you will improve much much faster. By studying theory I improved more in 6 months than I ever did in the 9 years that I have been doing this.
I know this is a super late reply but I couldn't help replying to this. It's always exciting to see new people plan on starting animation. Best of luck in your journey! :>

OH MY GOD?? I remember two years ago my friend talked about how this video inspired him so much. This right here, plus another animator here on YT, inspired him to make his own story (the one that spawned from this one is scrapped, but his current one is much better, and still inspired by this!). This is why he draws, why he animates and designs; this video pretty much paved the path to wanting to major in graphic design, and I think that's like super cool?? I've only just seen this the first time, and now I understand why it inspired him so much!
This is a well executed MAP, the story boarding is beautiful, and the stories themselves, pieces that hint at a bigger picture.

I really love this, it's so fun to see all the different stories and interpretations that still have a similar atmosphere due to the music and the colour schemes. It's really beautiful.

I like how all of these artists are extremely talented. A lot of projects like this are really good in one part and the other parts look drawn by a 6 year old.
