    An extra tip that was brought to my attention in regards to leaning on an edge.
    For Clockwise one foot toe spins:
    Left foot leans slightly on Outside edge
    Right foot lean slightly on Inside edge
    For Counter-Clockwise one foot toe spins:
    Left foot leans slightly on Inside edge
    Right foot leans slightly on Outside edge
    Sorry for not mentioning this tip sooner.
    Thanks Ali Mohamed for asking about it 😇

    Thanks I love it, OK you did your part, breaking down the mechanics of the spin, now I understand it, and now I have to go practice... And fall a few times, for this -- I definitely putting on protective gear.... LOL Thank you and one more thing that I like, you state that practice is essential, it is not easy to fall on your face a few times but sometimes it necessary. Only by attempting the Absurd can we achieve the Impossible.

    You could simplify your instructions. The clockwise/counter isn't as fluid a concept. If you are on right foot and turning IN (towards) or your heel is going towards the opposite foot. Turning OUT (away) is turning your heel away from opposite leg. Right = Clockwise is always IN and Counter is OUT. Left is the opposite and that's where words like clockwise get confusing. Try explaining things as IN or OUT then it's the same for whichever leg or don't. Thank you for instructions. =)

    Had to take a break but I am still at it.... started putting old pillows in the driveway to fall on since the moves don't require too much space. LOL

    • @Andvilsk8s
      @Andvilsk8s  3 года назад +1

      That's a pretty good idea. I'll have to give it a try when I'm working on harder moves.

    Thank you! Should we be focusing our weight on a particular edge/wheel during these spins?

    What kind of skates are these pls? As well as wheel type?

  • @Tsunami_Soulshifter
    @Tsunami_Soulshifter 3 года назад +1

    2 questions for ya: What types of wheels (hardness) are you using outdoors? How loose are your trucks? I come from artistic roller background and my trucks are super loose to press hard/deep edges, I’m wondering if it is better to tighten up my trucks for these types of spins. Thank you for sharing and being such an inspiration! That foot grab toe spin doe!!!!!!

    • @RollsRight8
      @RollsRight8 3 года назад +2

      The light blue wheels are vanathane, the black&white wheel is fo-mac. I've found that tighter action on the front wheel is better for starting out but very good technique will let you get away with more action in the trucks.
      _note: polished concrete and painted concrete have some grip to them until the wheel "breaks" from the surface_

    • @Andvilsk8s
      @Andvilsk8s  3 года назад +1

      Yup. I agree with Bboy Heathen.
      My front trucks are pretty tight, however the cushions need to be replaced soon.
      Tighter trucks provide more stability, making spinning on your toes more consistent.
      With your artistic skating background you'll be able to learn One Ft. Toe Spins real easy as you already have the foundational strength and balance.

      @@RollsRight8 thank you so much.. i was wondering if folks were using harder wheels outdoors on concrete surfaces.. been using the sonars 85a outside and they are just waaaay too sticky. I'm def gonna give it a go tightening up my trucks a bit to see if that helps my stability for these toe spins. thanks!!!

    • @Tsunami_Soulshifter
      @Tsunami_Soulshifter 3 года назад +1

      @@Andvilsk8s thank you!! appreciate the insight. As I noted in my response to Bboy Heathen, definitely feel like my looser trucks are the issue with me getting these toe spins down.. i can feel my feet wobble and its not cool....LOL. thanks again and keep sharing, love your content and skating!
