When my wife and I lived near Rockford, IL from 96 - 12, a friend of ours played in a local band.
One night, I was volunteer crew for him, when his band was the opener for Disturbed at a local venue.
My friend was acquainted with with Dave and introduced us. That made me a lifelong Disturbed fan.
If i could pass my kids down any band. It would be thus!!!❤❤❤

Take a listen to their song Darkness. You won't believe its the same band.
There is not a stark contrast. If you listen to all of there songs(well most) he has a voice that can do anything even in the screaming it's not just a scream its a tuned vocal triumph of a scream to match the song. Not bashing you just saying disturbed has always had a great sound.

I probably watched this video to much. I had an MRI and the tiny bits of music I could hear over the machine, I could see the video on my eyelids. Not just this one, but enough to know I really need to get a life.

The way he can change his voice
I'm not usually into metal, nothing against it it's just not usually for me. But every now and then a song that is just fucking awesome comes along and grabs my attention. This is one of those songs
The lead singer, David Draiman, had some medical issues that damaged his throat/vocal cords. And as he told us, the surgery was unsuccessful and was told there’s no way to fix it. So, permanent hiatus. I just love that he was training to be a hazzan (cantor) to lead the Jewish people in song. However, he didn’t want to conform and luckily we got his in Disturbed. Note… best cover of “Sound of Silence,” according to Paul Simon. He went so far as to say that Disturbed should get credit for their version as possibly a completely different song, not just a cover.
Don't worry you're not the only one listening to this masterpiece on 2022.

Here's wishing you good health and a speedy recovery. My mother was in the same position in her late 50's. She had to learn to walk, talk, feed & dress herself after a stroke, coma and brain surgery. Please know there is light at the end of the tunnel. It took her a number of months but she worked hard and had a great recovery. She went on to live another 35 years with no major medical issues. Be well, sir. God Bless you, I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers!

And the first fight you have to do against the king had this song for in-game music. Here I am, recently graduated from High School and still listening.
