I'm thinking I'm going to take some internode cutting, like one dormant above and one under. I'm in SW Mi. I was wondering for fungus if Tea Tree oil or maybe something like Baking Soda or Borax might help with mold somehow? Dusting with Diatomaceous Earth possibly as well?
Wow, that's amazing! 😀 Thank you for making these vids! I just started getting into growing figs last year, just a few cuttings and full plant purchases. I'm so excited to try this! I liked and subscribed! Introvert mom of 4 sons (2 autistic) 4 dogs here, trying to learn and grow my channel, thanks
Thanks Dan, happy to subscribe and watch your videos! I really like these first two. One suggestion, try wearing one of those wireless microphones, I think the audio will come out better for those who are a little hard of hearing like me! 😀
I can't find "Rooting Fig Tip Cuttings Part 1", I would like to see that first to know what u are talking about. Mike Kincaid talked about a video u did and he referred to it in a 2019 (?) video so it isn't any of these. I can't find that one either.
@@danfoster25 So this is part 1? A friend bought me a bunch of fig cuttings and some rooted pieces she dug up and I need to do something with them soon. I was going to make up some peat mess and sand or use some tree trimming bark stuff that I have.
Linda Hoover. What part of the country do you live in? At this point here in Michigan I would take hardwood and see if you can root them in a peat moss based mix like you mention.
Dan, the rockwool cubes Brian Melton mentioned there might but issues when you up pot them. Do you do anything to the rockwool when you add it to the potting soil in the tree pot?
Hey Dan, any tips for keeping the leaves from molding? I haven’t misted mine and several tips and leaves have mold growing. So I misted them good with peroxide water and left the lid off a few hours to dry a bit.

Dan, nice work! You need a greenhouse to house all of your plants! Hey, nice work too by your camera operator! If only other plants rooted as easily and successfully as figs...well, at least you make it look easy. :-)
Interesting display of success. Enjoyed your operation👍
Thank you!
I've had good luck with this method and roots showing by 3 weeks. There was a small learning curve first time lol but all's well now. Thanks !
I found the second one, looking good. It’s too late in the season, but will try next year. Outstanding work

A mild fungicide like Protect DF works well. Or Cleary's 3362
So much useful information, thanks for sharing the knowledge.
Stela G thank you so much!
Great videos, Dan!
Nice trays! ;)
Christy Steffke yes. Thank you for those trays. I absolutely love them!
mike kincaid mentioned you on a video, so I tuned in to see what's up with your channel. great job. carmine p.
Yup that's why I'm here also lol
Way to go, Dan!
Can you share the how do you make your nutrition water ?
What is the reason for leaving a leaf on? Is it necessary? I thought it would dry out the cutting faster.

Cap2c 1 great suggestion!
Looking good Dan
Don you ever get mold with all that humidity? Or do you put hydrogen peroxide in your spray?
Sometimes, yes. A mild fungicide like Protect DF works well. Or Cleary's 3362
