Pointing by using nguso first introduced to me when I was a kid by older cousins or Tito's and titas when they're tripping or foolin each other with me. They used sign language to don't get notice by others but first it's like pointing by using eyes then To give you pressure they doin nguso too answerin yes and no usinb eyebrows but actually Filipinos I think love doin those sign language like secret letz go sign by slight slanting the head in which direction.

That frying pan game looks fun especially when you and Jessica did it fast. This time, Moy looked kinda lost. 😂 The more you learn about Filipinos, the deeper you get into the cultural nuances. The “nguso” pointing is just another one of them, just like the eyebrow raising. Another would be “psssst.” It’s used to call someone’s attention.

We do that nguso gesture because usually in saying words such as "doon, yun" you usually open your mouth in such a way that it looks like you are kissing. So instead of saying those words you just do that lip pointing thing without the sound

And it seems like u can adapt well to new environments. These characteristics of yours might just be a small thing. I think though it goes a long way in learning new things. I think if we filipinos see that energy? we actually go freeflowing with u. While freeflowing experiences with us, i think this is the best way to absorb new cultures, new way of life, languages.
Because it is not forced and at the same time u enjoy each other's company.

we also use the lifting of the eyebrows as greeting,like you pass by an acquaintance but your shy to speak to her/him because ur not that close u lift ur eyebrows once then they answer back with lifting their's twice or vice versa..

The chant was like:
"Concentration mix and motion"
Concentration now begins!" (2x2 claps)
You have to form a circle facing each other, count yourselves if how many are you then you can start counting from 0- so on and instead of saying your "name" you have to say your "number" .
Example:
Sylvia- 0
Jes- 1
Moy- 2
Game mechanics:
After the chant, Sylvia the (0) will begin the game by saying "zero,zero" then you will pass the next chant to whoever number you wants to call ex: Jes "one,one". So, it will be like "zero,zero,one,one" then Jes have to replied by saying her number first like "one,one" then followed by the number she wants to call ex: Moy "two,two". So, it will be like "one,one,two,two" then for Moy's turn the same thing applies. The twist of this game is that you can return the call to someone who calls you first for confusion and the exciting part is when someone failed to return the call/number to the receiver. Thus, the person who had a mistake have to take-off one of the things they are wearing may it be an accessories or clothes until they have nothing to give in the end. Luckily, for years of playing this game when I was in elementary I've never seen someone leaving the game naked hehe. This game will be fun if you're going to play it with huge number of friends while seeing them loosing things they are wearing at the moment HAHAHA.

this is because in filipino folk tales, if you hit some elemental or supernatural beings like "nuno sa punso", they may punish you for that.
It is the same thing with pointing fingers, you may accidentally point towards these supernatural beings and they may get mad and punish you for that. So when they cant point fingers at those place, filipinos use mouth to point direction instead..
It's an old folk tales. so people from cities,or those Gen Z kids wouldnt know..

try saying "ayuuuuuuuuuuuun" (meaning there) it makes your lips pout.. that's why!
We use our lips to point on something when we're lazy to talk(lazy talk meaning explaining or describing the exact location of what you're looking). (it's like, andyan sa cabinet hinahanap mo bahala ka na maghanap saan dyan basta nandyan 😂).
But be careful, AVOID using that gestures on elderly(strangers), they might misinterpret it as rudeness. Usually we use it on someone close to us(friends, family members, colleagues etc.)
