This being my favourite model, I personally think the build itself is fine but the shade of gold they used is too... solid. It was something like a white-ish gold in the movies but over here it's straight up shiny yellow.

Exactly this. It is champagne colored in the film, not gold.
It should look much less muted than the gold parts of the mark 43 when comparing the two.
This is the only figure I've seen to get the color this wrong. Still want to get one though.

for those of you with this mark 42, first thing you may want to do is to pull the entire torso out of the ball socket and remove the excess plastic bit where the mould was injected to prevent further scratching of the torso. On mine it was pretty rough and I can see it scratch the torso as I rotate the figure.

@@rektthelegendscollector4908 use an exacto knife and then sand down the cut
You can actually push the shoulder pads in the gap where you pop out the arm so you can move the arm up more

This is one of my favourite suits of Iron Man's.
Would have loved to see more of it in later films.

So pity they didn't paint the fingers correctly. I think the hand with yellow thumb and index finger of Mk42 is very unique.

For me ZD toys did the best and accurate shape for iron man figure in this scale..
When the others brand like SHF did it too small and the shape sometimes too slim than the real figure..

I wished they would redo their mark 46 just like Mark 86. It would also be great if they do figure from house party protocol. I would definitely pick up starboost and other bunch of cool suit. By the way they did do hulk buster mark 2. 1.0 is like a statue while 2.0 has improved articulation but still pretty weak do to ugly joints cut. It was their earliest attempt just like their Thanos figures. Not that great.

10:43 hey same! In my country(Philippines) these Iron Man ZD Figures are around ₱1,100 each, Marvel Legends are around ₱1,500 - ₱2,000

I think i know why the gold is too saturated in some spots, in the original armor, that little spot on the top of the chestplate is a little more muted than the rest of the chestplate so they prob made a mistake and made him too saturated in some spots.

Tbf this is a $20 figure, nothing a little touch up can’t fix
Some of these ZD(or ZT) found it's way to Amazon. I hope this one show up as well.
Got the MK6 and Mk42 I think is my favorite of the designs. I wish they'd either paint in the eyes/arc reactor or have a part swap.

Yeah, the prices on them are fine if you want the figure the next day and not basically a month later, since everything from ZD Toys ships from China.

ZD toys is a more affordable version of hot toys im gonna be getting this exact one aswell as the legends infinity ultron in about a weeks time mk 42 is by far the best looking live action suit of them all because it was unique with reverse colour scheme although little sad the legs don’t go forward 90 degrees

This is a review, I have to mention good points and bad points
take good care of the shoulder joints.. mine came out broken ootb, first i notice it was "loose" then the arms fell off along with some broken plastics.. .. plastic used on joints was too brittle on mine.. not sure if anyone else experience it..
still a great figure with a nice paintjob! improved packaging also! :)

I love those zd models, I recently purchased some Iron Man figures, I just wanted to ask you if they hold up in time, or does their chrome paint have fade issues? Because I want to get more of them and there is a video somewhere that claims that they are fading in just a few years.
