Rest in peace, Regis Philbin. He was a greatest tv star, and icon when I watched that game show. Maybe I wish I wanna host the particular quiz show, but a lot different than theirs. 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
But Neil’s $250,000 win is an honorable mention for my favorite moments in this series. Here are my TOP 5 favorite moments from the November 1999 series: #5: Beth Plummer being the first woman to win $64,000. #4: Gary Levine winning $250,000. #3: Jane Oviatt being the first woman to win $125,000. #2: Matt Marcotte’s phone-a-friend, Steve, helping him win $250,000 (By the way, the latter went on to be a 2001 contestant and won $500,000). #1: John Carpenter saying “Dad, I’m going to win a million dollars,” and becoming the franchise’s first top prize winner.
What a way to end the November 1999 series? Neil came out of nowhere from using a lifeline on the first question and won $250,000! That’s a lot of money for someone who started that slowly!
I'm Australian, and I would have assumed exactly that. I have to keep remembering the most populous cities in the US aren't always the capitals. Australian states are the opposite - Biggest population is in each state capitol here.
WHAT A WAY TO END THIS THIS 2 WEEKS OF WHO WANTS TO BE A MILLIONAIRE MARATHON CELEBRATING TO THE HONOR OF HIS LIFE AND THE TELEVISION PERSONALLY REGIS PHILBIN. AND WILL FOREVER ALWAYS BE MY FINAL ANSWER AND WILL ALWAYS BE A HUGE HIT. GOOD NIGHT REEGE. SEE YOU IN THE FUNERAL TAKE GOOD CARE.
Thank you so much for these uploads! Loved this show as a kid so I’m definitely feeling a little nostalgic. Also, do you by chance have any full episodes of the game show 1 vs 100 you could upload? I can’t find them online anywhere. Thanks again!
Thanks, the next request is many celebrity run who never uploaded.... (Regis Philbin's era). You have many segment of regular contestants, why do you upload many episodes that contained that segments?
I've got some requests from me: 1. The full January 2001 episodes like the 4th, 5th, 7th, 10th, 14th, and 17th. 2. The full 9/9/2001 episode. And 3. The full October 1st and 3rd 2000 episodes.
I don't have any of those. I think I only have 1 or 2 primetime episodes left, both of which have content that we've already seen. I'm not sure where they are atm but when and if I find them, I'll post them
She got some insanely easy questions beyond $1000 like seriously natural selection for 32k?! And seriously what half-educated American doesn’t know that Springfield is the capital (and Chicago is not) of Illinois
There are a bunch of cities named Springfield. Besides Illinois (state capital), there is a Springfield, MO. Also, I don't know how much people get confused with Chicago as state capital, but I know that city gets mistaken for state capital based on the population size.
Y’know, I’ve always wondered, was that thing displayed in front of the hot seat and Regis’s chair really full of one hundred dollar bills or was it just a screen that projected the image of money? Can someone help me out with that please?
I don't know if it was really that way in 1999, but I know for sure in the later seasons, it became a screen projection that they used to display other things (the Millionaire logo, camera shots of the contestant, video footage, etc.) as well.
I believe it was physical but fake prop money here. On the UK show they originally had actual 1 million in cash that they intended to give instead of a cheque, but decided it was a bad idea long before they had the first winner with Judith.
This contestant was so genuinely happy & cheerful that his mood improved my mood too. What a pleasant personality. I'm glad he won big.

I could too

$250,000 is not bad for my pocket
Well deserved. He played it really well.
John Carpenter was awesome
Thank you for posting these!
You're welcome! Glad you're enjoying them!
Will you do Lisa Lord's run?
Awesome uploads. Love Millionaire. Regis is the cool king!
Have you heard the bad news yet?
@@Beltzer0072 yeah just saw it on Google news. RIP Regis. I'm watching Millionaire now.
@@creepmike77 Me too. I wish I could have gone on the show back then. I would have been fun.
You’re awesome for uploading these videos! I’ve been binging them, sorry I sometimes forget to “like” but I really appreciate the uploads!
That $250,000 is tough one Montgomery, Alabama is the city where Rosa Parks refused to give up her seat on a bus in 1955

If you ever get depressed, just watch Neil Larrimore. You’ll learn so much. 😃
Easiest $125,000 question. EVER.
That U.S. capital question was sort of easy, although people might have mistakenly assume Chicago is a state capital, but it's actually Springfield.
I'm Australian, and I would have assumed exactly that. I have to keep remembering the most populous cities in the US aren't always the capitals. Australian states are the opposite - Biggest population is in each state capitol here.
@@PurplePinkRed Right.
That was way too easy. A 500 dollar question. The Rosa parks question for 250000 was also more of a 4000 question IMO
Rest in peace, Regis Philbin He was a greatest tv star, and icon
One of my favorite nighttime game shows. They just don’t make these kinds of shows anymore
39:48 the greatest response ever in a quiz show
@Robatman O Hell Yea, and next is Neil and 3rd is Ken Basin
Rosa Parks, a civil rights activist, was arrested in 1955 for refusing to give up her seat on a bus in Montgomery, Alabama.
Thanks for the memories millionaire 22 years
$250,000 is a bit easy for Greek mythology it was Sisyphus who was condemned to continuously roll a heavy stone up a hill
I was today years old when I learned Brad Bianucci, one of the fastest fingers contestants, also won but his segment was edited out!

This $500,000 question about Actors in show business it was Charlton Heston who is not portrayed Jesus Christ in the movies
Alexander Wells On that Question I probably would have gone with either Charlton Heston or Jeffrey Hunter.
@@markheying2830 My brain says Charlton Heston
Neil is walking away with $250,000 that's good enough for him to go shopping and go on vacation with his wife

*bursts into tears* RIP Regis!!
Could you please upload episode 16?
Its already been uploaded. I just forgot to add it to the November 1999 playlist (its added now)

What actor did not portray Jesus Christ in the movies? The answer was “Charlton Heston”.

They were thinking of population...

Springfield is the capital of Illinois, not Chicago.
13:25 that seems too easy, right..?
I knew the answer without the 4 choices

Me, out loud- I THINK IT'S CHARLSTON HESTON
Never heard of A or C, but I know Dafoe did.

That $125,000 is easy Chicago is a city not a state capital
ALL of them are cities. There are no US capitals in unincorporated County areas.

I think the Rosa Parks question was worth way too much money.
Hercules isn't a character in Greek mythology
She's wise, Lauren is. And a classic face.
only 63% for the King's new clothes!!?? icbi

Alaska was worth 32 grand?
