Honestly, Kat's the scariest thing in this video; as soon as she gets spooked, she's ready to throw hands
Poor Pennywise :D
The way her face so quickly changes from fear to like maniacal fury🤣🤣
People that facial express this much is just insane to me. I dont get scared really. But if i do its internalized. And my face stays the same. Not sure how others dont do this.
Did anyone else notice that from 10:07 to 10:09 that Kat's face seemed to mimic Pennywise. The head tilt, smile, eyes, cheekbones. Very eerie. :)
She's an honorary member of the Loser's Club.
2:48 "That kid better be alright."
Pennywise ate his right arm so he's actually all *left*.
Also, he's dead.
Most underrated comment lmfao.
This is why I like reaction channels. Every once in a while you find a gem like this channel
Kat awesome
There is nothing more magical than the sound of a child's laughter ...
... unless you're alone in the dark ...
... and you don't have children.
"If it's strong enough to come out of a powerpoint.."
I absolutely love this.
Shows how far away from oldschool analog tech young people are getting these days, confusing powerpoint slides with slide projectors. :)
"Everybody had a crush on her"
Oh man... if you only knew what happened in the book.
if you know you know!!
Should I say what happened or no
To the people who might check this and haven't read the novel
Good old Stephen King! Dude needs serious psychiatric help.
@@Godzillafanboy89 i think It s Better not
Now we NEED a part 2 reaction
"Shove him!...nobody shoves anybody anymore!" --Kat. One of the best quotes on RUclips! Ha!
The kids were magic in this movie, brilliant actors.
The real horror is we have to wait a whole week for another Kat reacts!
I hope she watches part 2 next.
Yea but you will enjoy it 😃❤️
Kat being like "you silly kids just need to stop being so afraid! just stop being scared of it!" as shes practically hiding behind her fists 🤣🤣🤣
I loved the original since I'm a huge Tim Curry fan. But I must say Bill (not going to even try pulling his last name) was amazing in this version as the clown IT. This made me a huge fan of his. Fun fact I loved is the thing he does with his eyes is all him and not cgi or some special effect. He was phenomenal in this movie and truly scared most every actor in it.
Bill Hader ❤️❤️❤️
@Lisa K bill skarsgård is the one I was referring to. Don't get me wrong I like Hader as well but bill skarsgård was amazing as the clown and I became a huge fan if his. Also I just didn't try to spell it because I didn't want to Google his name and copy and paste it. Complete lazy moment on my part lol. But thank you.
Oooh, duh. That’s why you didn’t do the last name. I totally forgot he was a Bill too.
@Lisa K lmao not the easiest of names to spell correctly. Though in fairness I completely forgot what Hader's last name was so thank you for that.
Both Bills were great and perfectly cast. Also Bill Hader was on Conan talking about about how Skaarsgard could do the thing with his eyes. Even showed a behind the scenes pic of those 2 laughing together that looks so wrong its hilarious😂😂
Kat: "I'm going to go out for a walk now" Stay away from the gutter drains, Kat!!!
The opening sequence is so well done. The only difference between the book and this movie is that in the movie, Pennywise bites Georgie's arm mid bicep whereas he rips the arm from the socket in the book. If you haven't read the book and have the opportunity, it is really good and I actually got into trouble with my teachers in 7th Grade because I couldn't put it down. They did such a good job on this movie and its sequel
I read this in my first year of college. I was half way through the book when a friend told me is was being made into a tv mini-series. I loved this book so much. It was the first Stephen King I ever read and I read everything by him since.
But that scene at the end……….nope
@@abc.animal5143 Yeah, no one talks about THAT part (or wants to), it's left out of both films for obvious reasons.... I bet Stephen King looks back at that and cringes.
Pennywise also introduces himself as Bob Gray in the book as well.
@@RyGuy42089 I read the book so long ago (1990) I forgot this. Now I want to go back and read it again.
I’m always so excited to hear what the *real horrors* are of the movie you’re watching🤣
Me too. I always look forward to that part.
One of my favorite details from the book that they included in this is that when Pennywise first shows up in the sewer his eyes are yellow. Then when Georgie is talking to him, they turn blue to seem more friendly, but right before he bites his arm they turn back to yellow
I felt a little guilty about watching you squirm with this one, Kat, there were moments when you looked absolutely horrified by it.
Cool story to lighten the mood, during the scene when Pennywise contorts out of the fridge to terrify Eddie, Bill Skarsgard, who played Pennywise, was really concerned that he traumatized Jack Grazer who played Eddie. Once the director yelled "cut" Bill ran over to Jack to make sure he was okay to which Jack enthusiastically replied "Love it! Love what you're doing!", much to Bill's relief lol.
And Jackson Robert Scott who plays Georgie loved Bill in makeup and would cry because they wouldn’t let him see Bill at times. and Bill (covered in makeup), would pick him up. I loved the Behind the Scenes and interesting facts about how they shot this movie. Makes me wanna have a friend group like theirs.
But Tim Curry is the GOAT. (My cat is named Tim Purry, so my love is real.)
Still the new films are better than the old adaption. (IMO). But nonetheless the series is not bad. But in the end nothing compares to the book!
Ha! Awesome!
The original was great. TC was great in it.
@@ajclements4627 In this case there is no original. The book is the original. (But I like Tim Curry too)
@@calise616 I mean when I was a kid eating dinner and then the tim curry series comes on let's just say I didn't get any sleep that night and found the meaning of fear 😬
Kat always ready to throw hands when she’s scared.
The adults are so indifferent, because Pennywise has a hold on the town. IT has a way of altering people’s perception. Pennywise is not just a clown, it’s a cosmic entity that has been feeding on fear as long as there has been fear.
IT’s control over Derry and IT’s history there, is why you’ll find that when people leave Derry they don’t remember anything about it.
Much love! Can’t wait to see your part 2!
What's funny is that when Pennywise dances, I can't help but think of him dancing to Eric Cartman's German dance. His steps almost keep perfect time to it.
The 80’s was the last decade where a 6 year old wandering the streets alone was not considered neglectful.
Pennywise is a cosmic entity from another universe that has been trapped on earth for millions of years.
🤠 Kat, you make me float! 😱
😂😂😂
The “That’s romance! 🥺” after Ben reads his haiku. I felt that! ❤
You're a lot of fun, thank you!!!
God that scene at the beginning of Georgie’s death is so damn unsettling and heart-wrenching! The way he screams for Billy as he’s being drag into the sewer just breaks my heart every time
"Nobody shoves anyone anymore"!
I really do miss those days!!
😆😆😜😜👍👍❤️❤️
The projector scene gets everyone……great jump scare 😂
I would love to see you react to "The Witch" from 2015
Every time I reach the end of one of your videos and you tell me to watch another one, I want to do exactly that! These have been so much fun to watch
7:15 "NO PLEASE!!!" is one of the cutest things I've ever seen. XD
Great reaction.
The book gets a lot of grief for being misogynistic but what the movie did to Beverly by turning her into a damsel in distress straight out of sleeping beauty might be worse.
Misogynistic...yeah that's putting it mildly. At least in this movie there are some scenes where she is kind of a badass.
There are 800 chapters to this movie. The 10th chapter is when a hampster becomes evil and starts eating people.
You're right, houses in that condition usually get condemned and demolished right away. But usually, the influence of Pennywise isn't involved.
Been waiting for this one and it was totally worth the wait! Great, fun reaction as usual. So looking forward to Chapter 2. Thanks Kat!
Wow, "IT" already? You are moving up the horror ladder quickly Kat!
Some people forget that IT is actually responsible for the behavior of adults in the town as well. It's influence corrupts everything. There is a reason most of the adults are kinda sus.
I absolutely love your channel! It’s as if I am watching these movies for the first time through you. And best of all is you are hilarious with the one liners after a jump scare.
There are some very sweet pictures of Bill Skarsgård (Pennywise) and Jackson Scott (Georgie) interacting behind the scenes. Supremely heartwarming.
Loved this version of IT! Can't wait to see you check out the second half!
I could not stop cracking up when you made your quips. Literally had me waiting for the next one 😂 I'm so sorry you were so tense when it was over, I thought you might be because this one has lots of jump scares 🤭 you're still absolutely glowing tho! 🌻🌻🌻
no matter what but the projecter scene and especially it's jumpscare will always get anyone damn that jumpscare is a perfect one.
Glad i found your channel! Hilarious reactions
It's Kat-Wednesday again! YES!! I'm a huge fan of the original mini-series (timeline is everything, because I have watched it first), but these new movies aren't bad either. And your entertaining reaction make it even more enjoyable! Thanks for another great reaction and enjoy your walks!
I'm never going to get tired of "nothing better happen to HIM" "he CERTAINLY won't go in there!"🤣
Your reactions are hilarious. Here's some suggestions.

I LOVE your hand gestures. They convey your emotions so much. Your reactions are great!
Can't WAIT for Chapter 2!!
Thay have already
@@magicmikeyymike2138 I meant her reaction to Chapter 2...
I'd love to know Kats theatrical or drama background. If you live long enough and associate with enough people eventually you'll have a great female friend like Kat who is both intentionally and unintentionally funny.
I could not wait till you watched this!!!
Yay! Another reaction from Kat!
Kat: "The wiggle. It's the wiggle run." Hahaha
Kat is on a roll she can do no wrong! 👍🏽 Best part of the reaction 30:16 😂
I only saw this movie once, and it was years ago. I forgot how relentless it is, beginning to end, just non-stop fear. Great reaction. Keep 'em coming! \m/
I read this book as a kid a zillion times and I'm scarred so I have to watch your vid in bits and take frequent breaks. You are brave.
Thank you Kat, I found your reaction, and honestly all of your reactions, a wonderful time with plenty of opportunities to smile and laugh. I can't wait for IT chapter two.
Neat little easter egg - in the library with Ben, you can see the librarian in the background turn to the camera and grin in an evil way, implying that she is actually Pennywise.
This is the better of the 2 chapters. As always love watching your reactions!! Thank you!
Had this video paused at 0:02 while I was getting a snack. My dad walks through the room, looks at my laptop, and in his best Mortal Kombat voice says: "Round One. Fight!"
2:50 “that kid better be alright.” LoL
Fists up for Kat
When you meet your friends at a gathering , you should do the "wiggle run" to them to greet them 😆 🎈 LOL
By the time they cut their hands with the glass, they had already been wading through a sewer, being covered in various fluids, that one kid had his face eaten, tracking an eldritch fear monster, we're a little past worrying about bacteria.
Glad you enjoyed this, it's one of the better remakes out there, so much fun to watch.
One of my favorite horror remakes of all time, Bill Skarsgard did a phenomenal job as pennywise the dancing clown.
I felt for you as soon as you said "I hope that kid is alright"...ohhhhh
Love to see you cover the second half ❤
In the novel Bill and Georgie's mom is playing Fur Elise in the beginning.
The novel is sooo much more, than just a horror story, its a very interesting read
This is one of my faves! I even have the loser/lover tattooed. So glad you liked it.
I think the wierdest part of It is the book ending. The way the kids defeat It. It's by having a little orgy... he even describes how Ben is so well endowed it gives Bev her first O. 😂😂😂❤ gotta love stephen king and his SA trauma.
I think the tension in your shoulders is from air karate.
Another great reaction!
kat screams like pennywise laughs 💀💀
Another “Heart and Soul” reference! 😄 Love it!
I’m so excited for this.
Oh I am so excited to watch this!
So I discovered this channel today. Been watching the videos for most of it, being a massive horror fan. I just have to say, this has QUICKLY become my favorite reaction channel! Your subtle humor that goes along with these videos is absolutely incredible!
I'm looking forward to watching part 2.
We all float down here 🤡
F**k, they nailed it with part one..look forward to your take on part two.
"That kid better be allright!!!!" 10 minutes later, Kat has left the building 😂😂
Kat is actually doing well watching all of these Horror films....
The real horror never disappoints.
I love Kats reaction videos. She really does make the movies she watches more fun even though I’ve seen them. Thanks, a terrific job.
The story of what Pennywise actually is is absolutely brilliant and fascinating. I'm sure they go over it in part 2 (I haven't see it yet, but I read the book in high school). I won't ruin it for you, but the idea is really really cool. Also, fun fact: coulrophobia (fear of clowns) essentially arose from the novel and original miniseries of It. It wasn't really much of issue beforehand. In fact, that's why "It" took the form of a clown: it wanted the children to trust it, and not be afraid initially. In the room with all the clown dolls, there's also a doll of Tim Curry's Pennywise on the left. Also, Finn Wolfhard (Richie) actually improvised some of those lines. If you've never seen Stranger Things, he's fantastic in that too. And he's Canadian!
Great reaction kat lots of arm waving! and the kid actors are really great in this.
Beverly is a badass! This was such a creepy movie.
been waiting for this one ❤️🎈
Loved it! lol, would love to see the second part.
Kat, when you get stressed to your limit, I thought it was a British accent that you were using but now I think it’s a Catherine O’Hara (Moira) impression.
You are my new guilty pleasure.
IT is my favorite book. And I am so happy, because this version does the book justice. I read this as a teenager and it was a scary but great experience because the Loser’s Club reminded me of my friends and me (riding bikes and stuff). Stephen King is just great. Now I am hoping it doesn’t take 27 years for IT (chapter 2) to return to the channel. Please, great Patreons of Kat, do your thing. Great reaction.
Omg, I thought you were going to pass out from fear at one point. Glad you made it through ok Kat. That damn clown and his wiggle run lol. I love how you use humor to ease the tension in the movie. I cracked up when you said the real horror of the movie would be the kids getting an infection from the dirty glass lmao. Are we getting chapter 2 next week?
I love your channel your reaction are so awesome
your reactions are simply incredible. that is all
Nobody shoves anybody anymore 😂 Awesome!
Hiya Kat ☺️ Another great reaction on the channel. I was one of the people that voted for the original IT movie/TV mini series and l am pleased that you will visit it at some point. I think for me personally, the 2017 film is very good and of course scary when it needs to be. With IT 1990, l feel that goes more for the creepier vibe perhaps and Tim Curry is just spectacular. With the recent films, the special effects, acting, casting etc is what you come to expect and l think with the popularity of TV series like Stranger Things as well with the whole kids combatting evil trope being in fashion made it the right time for the remake. Anyways, fabulous upload and l look forward to the next one ☺️👍🏼
"They were saved by the power of love!". ... any of the book readers here care to explain to her why that statement made me laugh out loud?
No-one is going there.
They had an orgy while they were children. In the book only in the sewer
"If it's strong enough to come out of a PowerPoint...." :) Also, I think you should register your own version of the fighting system that you use during your reviews. Maybe: Kat Jitsu, Kat Quan Do, Kat Krav Maga.....
It's like Crane Style meets "The Claw" from Liar Liar.
I came for a hilarious reaction but I stayed for the existential dread 😂
Back around 1990, I worked a graveyard job with not a lot to do. I was apparently the only listener to the radio station and when I'd call up to make a request, the DJ and I started talking. The station itself was out in what was basically a swap, so the fog would come in really thick sometimes. The DJ booth was upstairs, but the bathrooms were on the ground floor. The DJ was reading IT one night around 2 AM he went down to the bathroom and found the ground floor was covered in white balloons with one red one. The red one had a card that read "Pennywise knows you're alone."
His boss slipped in and did it as a prank. Revenge for the DJ giving him an "anatomically correct inflatable sheep" for the boss' birthday a few months before.
