thank you so much you've helped me with my math. Ratios is a little tricky to me but after watching a billion videos..I saw yours and this help me understand. Gained a new subscriber!1
There is a another solution for the unit rate. Q1 If I get a Five calculators in $62.50 how much does the each calculator cost. So we know that 5 calculators cost $62.50. So we can write as 5x=$62.50 let’s divide both side by 5 then the answer is $12.50.
I have a question, I have this word problem and I don't get it at all. Can you please help me? The word problem is " The costume store needed 16 yards of fabric to make 5 witches costumes. For this Halloween, the store recieved orders for 105 witches costumes. How much fabric is needed?" Please reply as soon as possible ! Thank you !
I tend to use a calculator for the videos to keep them short, but for sure you can solve all of these without a calculator. Just takes a little more time.
Hey I'm a 6th-grade student and I was getting f's on all my test, So since I was starting a new unit at school I decided to *study* for once, and Now I'm getting consistent A's on my grade, and I can never do a ratio problem without doing this
How can I approach this Two identical jug each contains some juice * ratio of juice in 1st jug to juice in 2nd jug 5:3 * If mo pours 170ml juice from 2nd jug to 1st jug then jug would be full * Instead he pours 630ml juice from 1st jug to 2nd jug then jug would be full * What is the capacity of each jug
could you help me out with this problem?: - Frank has a festoon which he lights up fof the village festa. The feeston has white and blue bulbs in the ratio 3:5. It has 45 white bulbs. This year, he wants to change the ratio of white and blue bulbs in the festoon to the ratio of 1:3. He will keep the same toptal number of bulbs in his festoon. How many more blue bulbs will there be in this year's festoon?
Sure! I suggest you set up a proportion to figure out how many bulbs at the 3:5 ratio. Then do the same for the 1:3 ratio and subtract to discover the difference. Watch the full video and it will show you how to set up the proportions. Best of luck!
You are right I didn't take any short cuts. Some of the problems can be solved more quickly, but I wanted to show how to use a consistent method for all problems. :)
Eric, I am a parent trying to help my daughter in college and trying to help her to understand at the same time. I have some of the concepts and need some extra help. This is the problem: Write the ration in simplest form using a fraction. Family Budget ($) Housing is 1,600, Food is 700, and Transportation is 600, Taxes is 800, Utilites 300, Miscellaneous is 800, and the total is 4,800. so the questions is use the information to find the ratio of miscellaneous costs to total expenses. So is it 880/4,800 or 0.167. So explain. Thank you very much.
Neither of those answers are correct. The question asks for a fraction in simplest form, so you would need to calculate the faction then simplify. ruclips.net/video/6CvdTrs3FIw/видео.html
Oh my gosh. Thank you so much. My 11 year old is in the 6th grade and has a test on ratio word problems. We were trying so hard to understand and came across your video. You don't understand how much you've helped us. Thank you to infinity and beyond!

You would set up a proportion. Yards/costumes = yards/costumes. Good luck!
@@EricBuffington Thank you so much !
Just divide the #of costumes by the 5 costumes and then multiply by the yards of cloth
So basically
(105÷5)×16
Can you do a grade 4 ratio?
Try this one out and see if it helps. It's the basics of ratios. ruclips.net/video/LLNaxctU8JE/видео.html

"A" has a ratio of 9:3 WITH "B". If B is 270,000. What is the value of "A"?
I am already getting it 😁
I think u should teach at my school😅😊

Is there ratio on the SAT exam?
They probably do have some ratio questions. If not they'll have something about proportions, which are equivalent ratios.
Sir where do you live
I live in PA.
