Or did the commissioner take your illustration to someone else to be animated? Sorry for the odd question, I've been very curious to know the process and how many different people contribute to the final product!
For my own vtuber I contacted Iron Vertex and commissioned the rigging from them (Brian specfically) www.ironvertex.com/ . After that we were in contact, and when I opened commissions everyone wanted Brian or IV as the rigger so we just kept working together. Usually the artist may need guidance for the cutting as each rigger has their own preferences so it's good to put them in contact. Some artists do rigging too, but I focus on illustration only.
