Tip: Get. Rid. Of. The. Backpacks. They greatly affected your ability for bodywaves and only supported locking as the weight of the bag put pressure on your shoulders and therefore allowed the "lock" to be more sudden and also the use of walls is never really effective as possible arm wave/ tutting. Other than that it was pretty enjoyable to watch

Now that's what's up! I grew up on popping. The movie 'Breakin" was simply magic to me in 1984. I was nice with mine, back in in my day. Still got a few moves in my middle age years. These guys really represented the soul of boogaloo and popping in this video. They stayed true to the form. Unlike, a bunch of gentrified popping videos I watched prior to this...lol.
I loved this video, this is real popping, EB at best. Im tired of these "dubstep" animation bullshit all over youtube.

Don't want to start an argument but animation is a really nice style that is based off poppin.....I don't think it's bullshit and I like poppin and animation equally the same
This kind of popping is boring.... because it takes less skill than animation dancing. Animation popping is becoming popular because of its creativity that is involved and the flow and variations that harmoniously connects within each dance moves that no other dance styles in the past has shown. Tell me why all the "old school popping" looks all the same? It's the same dance moves the same style even....the same momentum etc. I'm glad we have grown out of that style of dancing ...but not completely, but we have grown out of it in the sense of "evolved" from it. Now dancers are more unique than ever with dance moves and styles that are absolutely genius . You simply are ignorant of what real dancing is. During the old school popping days, yes, it was real dancing, but as knowledge increased and we began to understand how creative and how much more variations and mechanics were able to be consisted in our dance performance, dance was then evolved from these great realizations. So stop retraining dance and limiting dance because once you do that, you're not dancing nor do you understand what dance really is
No YOU find this kind of popping boring not the same thing ;) You want to know why "oldschool popping" look the same in your eyes because it's call foundation the basics of what is popping...You don't like this way no problem do it in your way but RESPECT IT. All dancers is a copycat from an other at the beginning we take moove from what we like and we build it with our style. Animation is a style like many others (boogaloo/waving/etc) I understand what is he saying in the first comment because most of people ignore what is popping and called it "dubstep" they don't know the culture it's not their fault as dancers we have to explains them and of course many of "oldschool poppers" knows "dubstep newschool style" in the other way around "newschool dancers" don't know where popping from they just see dancers on videos and try to copy it withtout basic knowledge so please respect what you called "oldschool popping" peace
