Honored to be a part of this video! Thanks for having me and making nice things!
Isn't this the guitar player for SkunkBanger? But Seriously, so happy to see Ben on this PRS Experience. Perfection.
Skunkbanger!!! 🤣🤣🤣
It’s Skankbanger! 🤣 Although it may be a distinction without a difference some nights….
That old Human Fuse riff though, that one is a classic!
Uncle Ben, great to see you part of this, and great demo!
Dua lipa
Bought my first PRS today. I got a Custom 24. I was at guitar center and saw it. The first moment I held it I knew it was coming home with me. The feel is outstanding. I plugged it in and had a giant smile on my face. My wife said she never saw that look on my face when I picked up a guitar. I'm very happy.
This PRS experience was great. Good to see so many diverse players.
I've worn the birds on my forearm since the early 2000s. I will always love my PRS guitars.
What am I missing? Shouldn't there be like a thousand comments already?
I loved the 'shop floor' segment. I lived most of my life in QC and manufacturing, and these people are impeccable in what they do.
Most of them are in the live stream comments
@@sketchstuffs Thanks. I always turn that part off.
Damn. Didn’t realize the SE line was put under such scrutiny stateside. Just saved me 3k! 🤣
😎👍💗🇺🇸🎸 LONG LIVE PRS!!!
Relic free since 1985!
Isaiah is great! Thanks for explaining the tips so well!!
This was amazing to watch I love factory tours and the behind the scenes thanks for sharing 🤘🤘
This was my first PRS experience and I really enjoyed it and learned a lot about building guitars. Thanks.
Met Paul first back in early ‘84, fantastic talk about the old guitars we knew and what we had learned about them. His intriguing curiosity and constant study delving into the depths of making great things happen was stunning then and evidently still growing. Getting to work with him then even though for too short a time remains a cherished memory in life.
Thanks for everything Paul, love ya man and best wishes to all at PRS.
That was fun to watch/listen. I have a CE on order so the factory floor was neat to see. It will be my first electric and am very excited.
I fell in love with my a50e the second I hit the strings. It felt great, sounded great and had the bonus of being absolutely gorgeous. After all the videos I’ve seen about prs since has made me fall in love with the company. I look for prs guitars everywhere now: videos, concerts, stores, etc. I call it bird watching lol. Thank you.
What an achievement.. From a solo builder to building this company…The pride and ethos is clear to see.. I remember seeing one of their early catalogues and thought these are the greatest guitar photos I’ve ever seen.. You could see the pride in the product in those photos …. Quality ..
Thanks for your guitars Paul. The CE24 semi hollow is the instrument of my life. You're a living legend as luthier.
Love these guitar stands!!!
thank's a lot for sharing this with us. I was a big fan of PRS, but with all that details and care shown in this even, I can wait to buy my next PRS guitar (i love my Chris Robertson SE). Keep up the good work everybody!!!
LOVE you guys!!!
I started out on a SE Custom 24, then went to a S2 Custom 24, and now I have a 2007 Core Custom 24 that is my go-to axe. Thank you, Paul.
Can confirm on the setup and tuning. Mine is a SE Custom 24 and it made it's way to my doorstep from the dealer with a perfect setup and did not need tuning. It was ready to plug in and play right out of the case.
Oh, and I really dig Clint's guitar here. Very very cool gift from his wife and kids.
So proud to be one of those people who acquired a PRS (Paul’s Guitar SE to be specific) this past year. I love this company.
Love the people at PRS!
I got my first PRS guitar last week-a beautiful Core Custom 24 in Fire Red Burst. I love it!
I can call myself a proud owner of a Custom 24 since some weeks. Your guitars are so great and particularly my Cu24 looks very nice. I've dreamt for more than 20 years about purchasing one, but this came true. I've also done some videos on my channel with it. Thank you guys so much for building such nice guitars.
Well I bought one. Can’t wait to play it.
"Boscoe France That rug really ties the room together." Yes, yes! Stick and move; parry and thrust!
I don’t know about anyone else here, but I was ready to sell all of my other guitars (from three high-end builders) and buy an instrument from Paul half way through his introduction to the event! People do business with people they like, and he comes across very genuine and to the point. This event was very nice to experience, great job!
I’m disabled and would love to meet Paul. He makes the best guitars and I would love to own one.
PRS has the benefit of the founder being alive while the other big brands are more of just corporate entities. He's improved guitars and quality of guitars in general by forcing the other companies to stay on their game and not get complacent and focused solely on profit. It's going to be sad when he passes. I hope who ever takes it over has the same passion and continues to strive to push the instrument forward. It would be a shame if it became like Apple after Steve Jobs died. Apple was really pushing technology forward with the computer and the ipod to ipad to iphone, etc. After he died they haven't really done anything to push computer tech forward .
Disagree the new iMac with the M1 chip is cutting edge technology. Just received ours and it blows away every computer we’ve ever owned and at 61 that number is not small.
Agreed! I think PRS has caused the others to step up their game.
Much to our benefit. Thanks Paul!
God damn, stop talking about Paul as if he's dying.
Tyler killed it! As always.
Great Video, thanks. I recently got a PRS Guitar. Great Product
I love Sevendust's tunings. All 47 of them. Haha. Seriously though, Sevendust was the band that inspired me to start playing guitar. I am a self taught musician. I learned by playing along by ear to the first 3 7D albums. And because I had to use their tunings I've always played in several of their style of tunings. I only spent maybe 2 months in E standard when I got my first guitar. I dropped it down to drop B and A# and spent the majority of my learning days in that range. I've since gotten my PRS baritone and tune a bit lower, but my main tuning is their Waffle/Trust/Licking Cream tuning but in F#. Love Sevendust. Sevendust has arrived! 🤘
Haha hell yes!!! Korn was the band that got me into rock and started on guitar but Sevendust is the band that still resonates the most with their playing style and open tunings. Guys deserve more credit they’re amazing!
sometimes you just want a PRS guitar sooooooo bad, but just can't afford it😞
Ever consider the SE line, man? Relatively speaking, they're more affordable and are great guitars.
Great job!
Love PRS🔥🔥❤️❤️😎😎
I use to own a McCarty Korina that had such a sweet sound. It had gotten stolen. Those new McCarty 594's really sound great also. There's something about those pickups that draw me to them. lol I can only put it on my wish list though. Also I am developing arthritis in my hands and need a guitar that I can play as easy as putting my fingers in butter. That would be an awesome dream come true. Mr. Smith, you make the the very best guitars. Thank you so much for all the years of your artistry!
"Those purple boards sound much better than other colors." LOLOL yes.
My 2014 PRS S2 Custom 22 is hands down the best guitar I’ve ever owned!
1:11:00 Joe Norton shows us attention to detail in practice by installing the mounting screws in correct sequence.
Seems like it might be trivial but any experienced mechanic, machinist, designer, production planner, etc. knows to next install fastener #2 at the farthest point from fastener #1, then #3 farthest from #2 and so on.
So satisfying to see things like this in practice thank you Joe!
I liked Tyler and Ben's videos. Super cool!
I just bought my PRS SE custom 24 quilted maple vintage ltd 2020 model 5 days ago...and im loving it ...worth the price...very versatile...im just a bedroom guitar player(not a good guitar player)...copliment to sir Paul....
I've never played a PRS, a friend had one in late 80's he said it was really nice.
I’ll take it!!!!!
Tom Anderson is the same way. U can all thank him and Dave Schecter for making the CNC machine what it is today.
Paul's attention to detail is second to none.
My 2 favorite guitar makers....period!!!
I bet those PRS amplifiers blow the competition out of the water. I want to know what I could do with a whole PRS setup. I can only drool.
This is a really good video ..
The video begins at 8’. El video comienza en el 8’.
This makes me feel that the 4 PRS guitars I have were definitely worth the money. 3 core models and 1 S2 McCarty 594 thin line. Next up is the 509 for me.
Best guitars ever 🙌🏻
I came for Mr. Wes Hauch and wasnt disapointed :D Though I was really hoping to see him take out his PRS 7 string! New Archon sounds killer
1:17:00 Love how Ben channels his inner Eric Johnson with that lick.
Legend Paul
Never owned any PRS stuff but the Zach Myers SE guitar is peeking my interest.
Caught this after the fact. Like seeing the process. Love my S2 Vela, but Please put out an S2 Vela with dual humbuckers. Would be nice complementary model.
Dear Mr. Paul Reed Smith, I am a poor struggling man. But a very talented Musician/Luithier your guitars are beautiful and sound amazing. I would really love to own one. I can't imagine how much better I would be/sound harnessing the Power of PRS. It is my dream to have my very own signiture model. I found out about the PRS artist competition. But I didn't have a big social media presence. So I am working on that now. If I don't compete this year I will definitely be ready for next. I hope that I can meet you one day and shake your hand to thank you for the beautiful dream guitars and knowledge you have shared with the world. You are definitely a great person I see it. You strive to put good out to the world. I wish everyone was that way. I'd like to work for you making PRS's. I'm still hoping to be be found and get my music career off the ground.
I’m still jonesing for a McCarty 594 McCarty Burst to go along with the Custom 24-08 10 top I picked up last year. I want one soo bad!
Isaiah is the best! Brilliant player.
All I know is that my S2 guitars ring like no others. Got a CE24 Semi Hollow on the way, can't wait!
Prs ha segnato un epoca
These live streams are fantastic. One of my favorite parts was watching the guitar setups. Do you offer setup tools and specs on your website so I can maintain setup of my core custom 24? That digital gauge is neat.
The specs are on the website.
Don't think they do tools.
There are setup vids in the "Education" playlist here on yt too.
im a bit sad thought i got a guitar there for free......was so excited loved the event and the interaction tho
How did u get it for free?? everyone dying to get one at good deal man
@@joapl7458 I just asked in the live chat and they replied asking me which one...
But I guess maybe it was a joke.....im a bit sad tho
@@sillyone4696 I wonder why I didnt ask my gosh lucky boi
Hey Silbourne, sorry about that. Shoot me an email tomorrow - we'll do something to get you back to a good spot.
@@prsguitars wow really, 😀😁will do definitely
Love you guys and all 5 of my PRS guitars...the best on the planet and yes...I own the other brands too.
PLEASE bring the CE-22 to market...I loved gigging my CE-24 for years (no longer own), but I'm really a 22 fret guy...so many great voicings in the CE line. While you're at it...roasted Maple neck & SS frets?🙏

Some day... I will get me a PRS...
It's PEE AYE ZOH
I have got 3...which I use daily in the studio...a First Ed Sky, A 2013 Custom 24 with 57/08s and a 2000 McCarty........the other 40 sleep in their cases.....
I absolutely love PRS. But did I just see what appears to be left over CNC carve at about 54:17. When they were staining. I would think it would of been seen
Uncle Ben kicks royal ass!!!!
Lol, maaaan I'm really old. I remember this old coot when he was a young kid who posed in a photo with Carlos. Carlos took his first prototype from him.
아니 희망고문 그만 하시고 얼른 한국에 special 22 좀 배송해주세요 ㅠㅠ Musicforce에 purple iris 좀 입고 부탁드립니다.
A friend of mine from S. Korea is desperately waiting for Special 22 to be in stock. It's an emergency situation. He works at least 16 hours a day in a hospital and the only reason he is still alive is to get a PRS for the first time of his life. Please consider shipping one your fine cut Special 22 semi-hollow model in Purple Iris color(cuz he is dying for it) to S. Korea immediately and save my friend's life. Thanks, i'm counting on you. God bless PRS, God bless America. We go together, Gatchi Gapsida.
i have a 1986 prs and a 1993, both customs 24. i dont know if i got lucky with these 2 amazing guitar, cause the new stuff i already tried them and theres a diferrence between the old and new guitars. i like the older models better
I think of Paul as the mad guitar scientist in a white lab coat
I’d take the aliens to a Nickelback concert 🤘🏻🤘🏻
Is there a way to download these jam tracks? some good stuff. especially Lateris. More Sharkey! that lesson was sweet.
This guy is the Steve Jobs of guitars
It starts around 8:00
Amazing Video. I have always enjoyed these and love how much detail and effort goes in. Question to Doug H. If SE Guitars that get shipped to NA customers get inspected and spot checked at the Maryland Factory. What happens to SE guitars that are shipped in Europe or in the UK for instance. Is there a secondary QC check similar to the one performed for the NA destined SE guitars happening for the UK and Europe as well?
There's a PRS UK operation. There's a RUclips vid of them running through the QC+setup process (I'd guess it's on the PRS channel, but it's deffo on yt somewhere)
@@PaulCooksStuff Hi I have looked but couldn't find any videos on UK QC can you please share the link to the video. I have gone back on this channel to 8years ago and nothing.
@@Heavenreck ruclips.net/video/Wa3LD3PYSgU/видео.html
PRS Europe channel, sorry for the bum steer.
I know exactly what you mean washing dishes and putting shingles on a roof. All back breaking work that messes up your hands too. Us musicians and Luithier's need our hands more than anything. Take one of those and our love for creating music and crafting are over. Well I guess you could get a robotics. It's crazy how far we have come. The universe is ours for the taking.
Man I don't know if I would have shown the whole process of creating these Masterpieces. What happens if it doesn't pass CQ stage?
I'd like to be in any of these job positions. But I think my favorite would be the person at the very end that does the play test. Play 50 different PRS's a day. That would be so awesome.
I feel like PRS guitars must be something, with all the talk going on about them.
I played one at Sam Ash a year or so ago.
It was one of their player grade guitars, around $700.
It did feel good and I had the fleeting idea of taking it hone. But honestly, I didn’t feel it was the holy grail or anything.
Perhaps a different model would really grab me.
I would like to take an hour or two and play it through one of my amps and get to really experience the guitar.
I wish PRS would spend more time with their acoustic guitars. That is, greater variety and all-around quality. They don't seem to want to put in the effort at this point.
The A50E I played a year or two ago sounded like plastic, despite looking like a million bucks with the blue sides. There’s a lot of room for improvement in their acoustics for sure. Seems more like an exploratory thing than a serious commitment to being in that market imo.
we actually don’t make them in our american facility. all the acoustics that come out of the facility are private stocks. beats me why we don’t make regular ones
Video begins at 8:00
I love Doug Shive’s part!!!
Except for the fact that he didn’t give the specs!
Closer and Further away are not measurements!
1:04:51 for some reason, I still find it strange that so many guitar manufacturers still use standard wood screws for the tremolo claw. directly into the wood.
Maybe it just works and there's no reason to change it.
Edit: 1:39:42 I think people in the live chat doesn't realize this is a tone for a band mix and not jamming alone at home.
Why didn't you guys bring up Mark Tremonti? 😭❤️
Imagine getting to the final step of QC and seeing an obvious issue that was missed by the many QC people before hand. I’m guessing heads would roll.
If I buy a PRS SE in Europe, does it also go through such a quality control & setup process?
When will the Roxie pink silver sky be available ?
l like
I suppose parts of the video will help other guitar makers improve the quality of their building processes 😁
SO the Experience Tee shirt offer is only for American viewers? When you have customers all over the world??
Hello, did you ever make or will you ever make a USA Bernie? I love my SE Bernie and a US version would be a dream guitar.
An 2020/2021 S2 McCarty 594 features nitro already?
i have a question about nitro as im looking at my first usa prs .
Paul said it can be made to crack or not crack ... how do we know when we are buying ?
i don't ever want mine to Crack & a store salesman has no idea .
so how do we know , can they be labelled or something 🤷♂️
as i live in very humid conditions that made my gibson crack very fast
Have to know whose playing that is at about 22:00. Incredible
Right at 20:50
Can I find a translation list for all your neck shapes?
What I want to know is the employee discount?
How about adding select teachers to the team?
I wanted to know some more about this Robben Ford Model Paul? 👍🏼👍🏼
It's just a black McCarty with an oversized headstock. 🤷 I wish they'd make a Tom Bukovic model available.
@@InGrindWeCrust2010 that is what I saw in the video, but still in the works. I am curious to see what he chooses for pickups and fret choice. I have always been a huge fan. PRS is doing better with rounding out all, different types of players these days.
Is this a custom all white painted Silver sky? I think John played this at the Garden in 2019 maybe.
