DIY Master Suite || PAINT, outlets, trim, MOVING IN || House to Home Ep. 5

Brandon and I are avid DIYers. We invested in our house when we were quite young, and even then we knew it would be our forever home. Through the years we have made many changes and almost doubled the original square footage of our living space. We saw the potential for this house to be all we wanted in life and at the time that we purchased it, it was just what we needed. As our lives changed and our family grew, so did our needs. Instead of pursuing a new house, we invested in our home and tackled countless DIY projects to be sure it has always been able to meet our needs. In this series we’ll focus on everything from floor plans to purchasing materials, and final touches. Expect to see the big DIY’s and smaller ones too. Get ready to follow us on our journey of creating our master suite and all that lies ahead, as we continue to make our house the perfect home for our family.
Welcome back to The B’s Business or welcome if you are new here, thank you for joining us! This is episode 5 in our newest series on this channel: House to Home. In this series my husband Brandon and I tackle all sorts of DIY projects. We are currently working on the biggest DIY project we’ve ever tackled: designing and creating our master suite. We are taking this area from a raw space that consisted of just the exterior walls and windows to the master suite of our dreams. In today’s episode we are painting! The taping and mudding has come to an end, at least for now. A few Lowe’s trips and all of the outlets, switches and covers we needed were acquired and have now been installed! Collin and I chose the paint color for the walls and ceiling and Brandon painted his heart out while we were all at school! The trim has been purchased, stained, cut and installed. Our bedroom space is livable! I hope you’ll enjoy seeing the changes in today’s episode and maybe you’ll feel inspired to tackle a DIY project of your own. Remember big or small, it all counts toward helping you take your space from a house to your own personalized, cozy home. Next up: closets and the hallway!
