I have loved and adored Lacey the past two albums. I have followed them since they started. I love love love love them. This album to me and especially this song is a farewell from Lacey. I have listened to every song every lyric every second. I am okay with this being their last album with Lacey being the lead singer. I however will not be able to listen to the new "Flyleaf" simply becuase they are not Flyleaf. Lacey is Flyleaf every part of her. Every lyric is her. They will never be the same.
Some people mistake the cover of the album as an Illuminati symbol, But in reality Pat (The Bass player) wood carved the album cover. Its as if they are looking into the "New Horizons"
This song must mean oh so much to Lacey. Think about it. This song is beautiful! I will accept her bow, and though i will always regret never seeing her live, I understand why she left. I salute you 'old' Flyleaf! You were the perfect group! May this new chapter hold many awesome years to come!
“The machine” in this song is the music company obviously - ever notice how after a while all the popular main stream bands and singer start singing about all the same things ? How it all just blurs into one gener ? Do you really think that is on accident ? think again Lacy left because she didn’t want to stay in the industry so long that her music would no longer have its meaning . If you want a big company to back you up you have to pay the price.....
Take my bow and disappear into the sounds like .. giving in and dying or vanishing but then it also sounds like going up thru the clouds to meet Christ in the air.. hmmm #throwback

Look what happened with Killswitch Engage. They changed lead singers and became more successful with the new guy. Then they jumped back to their old singer for their new album and their new single is pretty darn good. It's about the talent of the group as a whole not an individual. Lacy is an amazing singer and Flyleaf won't be the same without her, but that doesn't mean they should break up.

I my opinion. band the gets a new singer and havr done this much as flyleaf should change name like start a new band. beacuse the real fans will still follow them so I dont think it will be a problem. think about it. if they change name it will not be the same pressure for Kristen May to live up to Lacey and it will be more her band and you will think of her when listening. Beacuse Flyleaf will Always be Lacey Strum and the others together
They should at least re-name the band. I know it's only lacey leaving, but it isn't flyleaf without her. The new girl also has an incredible voice, but with the band name the same I feel like she'll always be in lacey's shadow.
I want to disappear into the sound and I am not even famous. I just want to live my life in total seclusion. Or at least mostly without other people around.
How so? I'm really interested because they're two of my favorite vocalists but they've never reminded me of each other, although I've always dreamt of them covering each other's songs
