But it could go either way too because when we don't put in the effort, it could feel depressing too because not doing anything for the better of ourselves could just make us become slow, tired, and just wondering whether if anything is even worth it anymore. But either way, we should always keep trying, whether we get a 0 or a 99 because everyone deserves to get that 100%, whether it be tomorrow, the next day, or even a couple of years. Someday, everyone will achieve that 100. Idk why I'm commenting on it here, it's just my quick response to how I interpreted this. lol. I hope I made a little sense.

This song hit way too close to home for me. TLDR : I recognize myself way too much in the female vocalist's lines. Full story : There is this girl I talk to every now and then, an acquittance from high school really. We mostly knew about each other's existence because I dated a friend of hers way back then. Now we mostly randomly meet up and chat up in our home town whenever she's on University break. One day after having hung out together at a public party I invite her the next day for lunch, expecting that she'd refuse. I didn't even have the food for two. But she said yes, eagerly so. So grocery shopping hung over at 8 a.m. was funny. Now I need to stress it out that we really didn't know each other. We only had some """friends""" in common and all conversations we ever had prior to this point happened because of this. Yet, it was the best fucking lunch of my life. We cooked together, talked about everything and anything. Fuck, she was great, so joyful and energetic. She looked pristine, the most lovable cuddle thing you could imagine and Christ that smile! I wanted to vow my life in defence of that smile, to shield it from grief or anger, to work every minute of my life to make her smile even for a second longer. I was falling SOOO hard for her over the 5 hours she stayed with me...so hard I got scared. I kid you not, I was sitting with her and the thought passed my 21 year old head of "yeah, I can have kids with this person". In the moment it was amazing, the more I thought about it, the more freaked out I became. Slowly I stopped trying to text her, stopped trying to make plans together and moved on.... Until the next summer where the same fucking shit happened and I got even more scared because I realized that I was actually serious the first time over! This time I shamelessly ran the fuck out (after the lunch, it was pizza, it was amazing ofc). Now I'm sitting here, screaming my confession into the void of the internet hoping it will make me feel better... I sometimes see her active on my socials, a click away from another chapter of this story, wondering whether or not I should actually text her or not....Wonder what we would talk about this time....
Well my life principles is don't lives a regret life. lives a memorable life. If you think you won't regret confess to her go ahead the aftermath can work itself out. It will be a embarrassed memory or best memory you can have. But at least you won't look back at that time and regret over it.
