Besides that, she was the only courageous one who could support her view with proper reasonings and clarification about her statement. The way Rachana Gurung spoke to that contestant is totally disrespectful. Beauty is not something that comes after makeup. It's just how that person is. Plus she's agreeing to learn the makeup. Having born in 21st century doesn't mean that people must know how to put on makeup and be the 'so called elegant' after that. I mean look at her, she's learning computer engineering and she's got all the brains and I don't think there can be more beauty than that. I completely understand Rachana gurung sharma’s point. No makeup is a disrespect. People should know how to present themselves for the occasion. Everyone coming here are looking good and smart. Why only she has a reason for not wearing makeup or wearing glasses? This is a competition. She was also wearing glasses that hid her pretty face. So yeah judges asked her to remove her glasses. If you don’t know how to put on makeup, just wear a bold lipstick that matches your skin tone. You would look so much better. We shouldn’t make everything an issue. Yeah feeling good in your skin is a good thing. I don’t say everybody needs to wear a makeup everywhere, everyday. But people are supposed to look good for any interview and dress ( and makeup) appropriately.
Analysing positively I think that the judges aren't rude but only want to know their confidence level and want to know whether the girls are bold enough or not.
Rachana Gurung should be not allowed to judge in miss Nepal. Real beauty is without false make up. How can they keep someone judge who does not know Motto of miss Nepal i.e Miss Nepal's objective rests on three pillars: personality and leadership development and women empowerment as mentioned on their web site.
Being a judge doesn't mean you can belittle someone and crush a young girl's confidence who took so much courage to go up there. There's a way to give a constructive criticism, as a woman it's about empowering each other and pushing boundaries. I hope judges are able to understand this more. Power to all those girls that are pariticipating.

The way Rachana Gurung spoke to that contestant is totally disrespectful. Beauty is not something that comes after makeup. It's just how that person is. Plus she's agreeing to learn the makeup. Having born in 21st century doesn't mean that people must know how to put on makeup and be the 'so called elegant' after that. I mean look at her, she's learning computer engineering and she's got all the brains and I don't think there can be more beauty than that. It's the turn of that judge to learn to see and accept the beauty of simplicity, intelligence and it's value in deep cores. This woman is just so superficial and I have no words to exactly expalin how she exactly made me feel. Give her some life somebody!! Are Miss Nepal auditions are always this pathetic? I think the criteria and the audition process should be amended because this is definitely not the way you do it.

Not everyone can make it as a model physically in the current way Nepal is but if you can only look on like an angry jackass and stare down a person without actually being able to help them grow beyond the competition, then you're not fit to be a judge.

I completely understand Rachana gurung sharma’s point. No makeup is a disrespect. People should know how to present themselves for the occasion. Everyone coming here are looking good and smart. Why only she has a reason for not wearing makeup or wearing glasses? This is a competition. She was also wearing glasses that hid her pretty face. So yeah judges asked her to remove her glasses. If you don’t know how to put on makeup, just wear a bold lipstick that matches your skin tone. You would look so much better. We shouldn’t make everything an issue. Yeah feeling good in your skin is a good thing. I don’t say everybody needs to wear a makeup everywhere, everyday. But people are supposed to look good for any interview and dress ( and makeup) appropriately.
