The Shadow Manticore is going to be better hands down. It procs every rage cycle instead of relying on RNG like the Night Roc to proc off a crit. You can make an end final build of all 3* skills to have Angry Roar & Blood Roar for ~100% crit rate on pet damage skills + Fatal Bite adding over 100% Crit Damage. That means every 10 seconds or so you are hitting 3x as hard on the pet rage skill alone. Barbarism with Advanced and Intense Barbarism, then Tooth and Claw for more base damage. Add in the fact you can run an +%ATK marksmen artifact due to LRW now. This pet with Mag/Zay will delete a legion in seconds.
Seems nice, every inch of damage you can squeeze with maggrat and zayda i think is nice, i already think they are survival enough What i want to see is the potencial of the Blade Manticore, my firts test are eh... weird hahaha the pet works weird in my opinion, but good news, it actually work with elkriders haha :v As a side note, they finally add idle animations for Forondil in the heroes menu, just a silly think i check in every patch, so all season 2 heroes already have idle animations, now it should be Maggrat and/or Zayda next time couse they are the firts "season 3" heroes (Still no season 3 on the horizon :< )
I think this pet will be very good, The primary talent is similar to the golden rok which can ouput a lot of damage from its primary talent if the 2 skills are levelled up . golden Rok 3* is (160 + ~ 600) when the advanced skill is also 3 star (60% damage increase) . The manticore has less initial damage but its multiplier is stronger. The real damage will come from EOS skill which over a 10 second cycle will be over 500. This is all before you take into account crit rate and crit damage

Don't do fierce attack on manticore if you are using with magrat/zayda they don't have rage skills won't activate
What is the best pet for Archer? im in season 1 and I used Gwanwyn and Niko
Currently it could be this Manticore. Otherwise it be Snowpeak Roc or Venomous if you want something you can use more flexible.

This is also assuming the EOS skill triggers every second.
