Live here in Washington, PNW. I don't like fireworks. Finally got to sleep around 3:30 am. My poor pup was sedated most of the night. Rude awakening of an earthquake would definitely change things up😊.

Having lived up and down the west coast all my life, earthquakes have followed me from south Cali to WA. Sylmar, Northridge, Loma Prieta (I stood in the exact center), and the Nisqually quakes, respectively. Thanks for your updates...

Been watching the swarms for 3 years and this is abnormal to see swarms off the southern coast of VI BC. Most often Alberni to Comox/Courtney shows elevated low magnitude quakes.
I was 10 miles from the epicenter of the spring break quake @ Scott's mills, Or I will never forget the sound of that screeeeeeech Bang!! Incoming freight train roar then wiggle wiggle wiggle 🤯

I learn something every show. every time I watch. Thx! I saved a golden retriever on a freeway center divider on 4th July night 10 years ago, found the owners that same night. Probably the greatest thing I ever have done. He was frantic and for a moment I felt he wasn’t going to run to me. Owners were so relieved as of how you would imagine. A Beautiful dog and happy to go home.its a terrible thing to think what happens them in war. They are our loyal friends and how can we explain something we don’t really understand ourselves.
It's a rough 4th of July for Mariposa county. Fire started late afternoon and is burning the town of Mariposa currently into the night.

I used to live in Mariposa. Just moved from there 2 years ago. Praying for you guys. Mariposa is a gem of a place but those wild fires every summer are on another level.
@@lindseybrown4637 Yeah the recent ones : oak fire and detwiler were so huge and bad but this one actually came into town and burnt houses and the track field at the high school. It's mostly stopped now. And it's only at 900 something acres. Much smaller in comparison. Luckily not too many property losses.

I am curious. What does prayer do? Since God created the Heaven and the Earth, He must have included the fault lines in his so-called Infinite Wisdom. So wtf does prayer do? Rebel against Gods plan? Change the course of Nature? Can prayer hold back billions and billions of tons of rock? How does that work?

@@cquinn03 I have seen research that deathly ill people who know they are being prayed for deteriorate more quickly than a control group who does not know they are being prayed for.
So we actually have scientific research that shows clearly that prayer can hurt.

My dogs always panicked when hearing fireworks. They just couldn’t calm down They have all passed now. It wasn’t too bad here in Northern Nevada last night. Some firecrackers. They’re illegal here too. Very dry right now.

FYI if the whole Etna explanation was for my post, I only mentioned that Etna erupted but what I was referring to was the super volcano, the Campi Flegrei.
Here is what was just released. I was just wondering if you knew about the recent major unrest informing a very possible eruption:
“The volcano has been restless for 67 years, with two-year periods of unrest in the 1950s, 1970s and 1980s causing small, local earthquakes and ground uplift. Similar unrest occurred over 500 years ago, when it took a century to build up to an eruption in 1538.
The authors of the study, published today in Nature Communications, used a new model of volcano fracturing developed at UCL to investigate whether Campi Flegrei may again be preparing to erupt.
They found that the unrest since the 1950s has had a cumulative effect, causing a build-up of energy in the crust and making the volcano more susceptible to eruption. Previously, it was generally thought that the energy needed to stretch the crust was eventually lost after each period of unrest.
"By studying how the ground is cracking and moving at Campi Flegrei, we think it may be approaching a critical stage where further unrest will increase the possibility of an eruption, and it's imperative that the authorities are prepared for this," explained Dr Christopher Kilburn, Director of the UCL Hazard Centre.
"We don't know when or if this long-term unrest will lead to an eruption, but Campi Flegrei is following a trend we've seen when testing our model on other volcanoes, including Rabaul in Papua New Guinea, El Hierro in the Canary Islands, and Soufriere Hills on Montserrat in the Caribbean. We are getting closer to forecasting eruptions at volcanoes that have been quiet for generations by using detailed physical models to understand how the preceding unrest develops.
Movement of magma three kilometres below the volcano has caused the episodes of unrest. An eruption becomes more likely when the ground has been stretched to its breaking point, because the molten rock can escape to the surface when the ground splits apart. It is difficult to predict when an eruption may occur because, even if the ground breaks, it is possible for the magma to stall before reaching the surface.
The unrest has already caused severe social upheaval in Campi Flegrei. The three episodes of uplift have together pushed the port of Pozzuoli, near the centre of unrest, more than three metres out of the sea.
"The unrest in 1970 and 1983 caused tens of thousands of people to be evacuated from Pozzuoli itself," said study co-author Dr Stefano Carlino from the Vesuvius Observatory.
The whole of Campi Flegrei covers more than 100 square kilometres outside the western suburbs of Naples and is the closest historically-active volcano to London. It is a large caldera, which means it appears as a giant depression in the surface rather than a conical mountain. An eruption today would affect the 360,000 people living across the caldera and Naples' population of nearly one million.
"Most damage in previous crises was caused by the seismic shaking of buildings. Our findings show that we must be ready for a greater amount of local seismicity during another uplift and that we must adapt our preparations for another emergency, whether or not it leads to an eruption," explained study co-author Professor Giuseppe De Natale, former Director of the Vesuvius Observatory, which belongs to Italy's National Research Institute (INGV) for the study of earthquakes and volcanoes.”
It sounds like this same reasoning should definitely be applied to our super volcanos..!

Would you be willing to share links or recommendations to videos on what to do in case of an earthquake, eruption, ect. I live in Central Oregon. My kids and I could use a refresher. I'm sure there is a video like that out there posted by a fire department or something.
Hide under a desk. Go somewhere that "things won't FALL on your head." That would be the biggest concern if you are in the middle of an earthquake and can't get out. You just don't want debris falling on your head, and don't want to get TRAPPED UNDER RUBBLE. Use your "common sense" regarding those 2 big concerns.

People who use fireworks are just selfish. The disturbance to people's pets & livestick as well as to wildlife should be dnough to stop them but their selfishness wins. Pure ego. Go for it man, Last night while saying the rosary I got to the last Prayer, As I was saying Hail holy Queen, a clear image appeared of a lady (like a virgin mary statue) side profile face stained with blood dripping down it it than started to zoom in and at the same time turning to man looking like Jesus until all I saw was his eye. I than thought of him being crucified and the blood on Mary's face dripping down. Anyways please share!
