Gregory Hines and his brother Maurice were both performers from childhood. Maurice passed in December 2023. It wasn't hard for Gregory to hold his own with Luther, he was a lifelong performer. Look for him and Maurice performing Crazy Rhythm from the movie The Cotton Club.
No matter how these latter days singers tried yet they can't come up with nothing as poetic like the 70s 80s and 90s it's better by far we're the foundations

I am 50 and this song exemplifies just marginally the grief for my Dad who I lost on 4\19\2020. I was robbed of being at the funeral. The mom of the group I went with was a very petite lady. We were fourth row from the front. When Marvin sang Sexual Healing, this little lady walked up to the stage with her hand out for a hand shake. He shook her hand, and she was so excited, I think she jumped higher than the stage.

I am 50 and this song exemplifies just marginally the grief for my Dad who I lost on 4\19\2020. I was robbed of being at the funeral. Although his death was not Covid related, borders were closed and my plane ticket I bought at the start of the year to visit that June meant nothing, the itinerary a crumpled piece of nothing that burned my palms in its uselessness. To see my Titan on a screen obliterated what I had left which was comprehending he was gone. Diana you sang this for all of us who mourn 😭😭😭😭

ban2fab4 I went to four Luther concerts, and he outdid himself with each concert. I went to a Marvin Gaye concert a month before he was killed. The mom of the group I went with was a very petite lady. We were fourth row from the front. When Marvin sang Sexual Healing, this little lady walked up to the stage with her hand out for a hand shake. He shook her hand, and she was so excited, I think she jumped higher than the stage.
