I had to memorized scriptures and would recite it as I traveled to high school and college. I would recite Psalms 23 &91 while goi g to work and on the bus & train . The enemy could not break through God’s defense. This habit of putting up God’s defense protected me on the E train when I was surrounded by 6 teenage boys threatening to do harm to me. I started singing God is an awesome God and recited the 91st Palms. The teens became confused as to where they were going and got off the train. It was the miraculous battle Jehoshaphat faced.
I agree with Bishop Patterson is right on. I went to an elementary school where the scriptures were read in the assembly. The teachers gave the class the scriptures and the class memorized it for Assembly. By the time I went to Middle school, prayer and Bible reading was outlawed in NYC. School became violent. Even the teachers and principals were frightened.
Praise Be to My Lord and Savior Jesus for this amazing opportune moment of healing and peace for God knew exactly what I needed when I needed it!!! I Receive this Blessing in my Heart and Soul and Spirit-no weapon formed against me shall ever stop me or Prosper for Jesus died for my sins and rose the 3rd day for my life to be new unspotted and blameless, i will reign supreme with my Lord and live everlasting in the kingdom of heaven--Amen Amen Amen it is done/and soo be IT!!!
