This show really making us symphatize these antagonistic characters, while making us still remember they are still not to be forgiven. Tanjiro didn’t see his enemy as an object of revenge, all he want to do is so no one would have to suffer like him anymore, and of course saving his little sister. God he’s such a great character imo.
Tanjiro feels so bad for the demons he killed because I of their stories, his only will there was to kill them to make them peaceful 😭. He also wants his sister to be a human which touches me so much.
Like BLEACH and D-Grey Man, killing the demons are actually saving them from eternal torments, return their twisted soul back to a pure soul, it's salvation

Yea ironically I used to root for Rui to be taken out but watching episode 21 I grew to love him and is now my favorite character in the series. Plus his design is stunning/adorable. It`s understandable he was frustrated with his frail body and that takes a toll on someone as young as him. only to be deceived by muzan since Rui probably didnt know given a stronger body would meant that he became a demon. He was a sweet kid turned to a ruthless killer against his will. he is an intriguing villain
The parting scenes literally make me cry. It wasn't their fault. They were just put in a bad situation yet they cannot be forgiven for taking so many innocent lives. The fact that their partings are so peaceful and Tanjiro kindly sympathasizes with them wishing them to never become a demon in the next life just makes it all the more sad.
What's really good about this anime is that it values not just the protagonist but the antagonists as well. Demons were once human too and they deserve a decent story! 💓
I feel like this track is too underrated. I love it so much. I was in love with Kamado Tanjiro no Uta, but this felt so different for me. I only noticed it when I rewatched the anime and I've been crying over this ost since then. It holds too much emotions for me, especially if you think about Rui's past as a character. He was such a tragic character and my heart sympathized with him. Hearing his ost somehow deepened my emotions for a remorseful character like him. It's quite upsetting that only a few noticed this ost. It's really beautiful and I love it with my whole heart.

[SPOILER ALERT] The fact that Rui just wanted a normal happy family. And just be a strong child in general breaks my heart, his parents thought if they let Kibutsuji Muzan gave him a second chance to live everything was good, they accepted the fact that their son will look like that, they didn't care all they care is now he is a strong boy. But when his powers took over him, he didn't know what to do, when his parents tried to kill him he killed them instead. How sad Rui's life must have been, he created this "pretend family" so he can have his memories back. Poor child now he is safe with his parents.

Ps. 2: And this theme fits him so much, in the first part: you can feel the pain, loneliness and confusion, the desesperation to remember the forgotten memories of the past, the negativity, the violent creature he has become; then the part where the piano gets faster and louder but happier and nostalgic at the same time: the excitement of seeing his parents again, the overwhelming feeling of finding light after a long dark, lonely path, the love, the satisfaction of being with them again and most importantly the last part is like it's him saying "i'm so sorry for all the demons i've forced to do things and forced to be my family, i wish i could apologise now but since i can't, i hope they are born again in a better place and era... goodbye everyone... and... thank you..." damn i thought about this so deeply but it just came out naturally ksksksks
Demon slayer truly is an amazing anime,26 episodes and there are so many things that hits people so hard or touches them deeply, From friendships to siblings. The manga- It’s just 😭😭😭
This anime almost made me forgot that the current society (of the anime) has it's own drama and the drama created by Kibutsuji Muzan only contribute to 10% of it. I mean ... Kibutsuji isn't manipulating the government to wage war or anything. Instead he was just there, inside 1 single country, hitting on random people and not trying anything big at all if you really think about it. For over 1000 years, the demons have eaten many people i don't deny that, but comparing to the human war and poverty, that number seems so small that the government don't even give a shit about, that's why they don't acknowledge the Demon slaying corp, cause it's not big enough nor exposed enough to be a real threat to the human race.

Rui set the tone for season 1 even though he's a lower moon, he pushed Tanjiro to his limits, if Giyuu didn't showed up maybe the outcome would've been different.
Piano sound touch and break my heart. Every demon have pain. He just want to have relation and family. In the last scene ,it teach me Dad and mom always love us. I miss my mom so much.😢

though I cant help but personally identify with Rui. He was a sweet kid put into an unfortunate situation, with the joy of having a strong body making him forget who he is upon turning into a man eating demon.
