Just had Pliny the younger over the weekend from February 2020 and it ages so we’ll. Very good carbonation with major tropical fruit and pine taste. Excellent
Even Shaun Hill has a Pliny For President sign in front of Hill Farmstead! P4P is one of the best 'beer not juice' tasting double IPAs I've had this year. Bright AF!
I haven’t had P4P but elder is probably the best west coast ipa I’ve ever had it’ll be hard to beat but I like the bitterness is elder it’s perfect IMO. I’m sure I’ll say the same when I try P4P, cheers
Back in the day if you couldn’t find Pliny...Lagunitas Hop Stoopid was close. I never thought that was a good comparison. Now in 2020 with increased distribution I’ve had a ton of Pliny and I taste the Lagunitas distinctive funk. You get that at all? Haven’t had P4P.
In all honesty, I've never been the biggest Lagunitas guy. I didn't really get into super hoppy IPA until about 2011 when I moved back to San Diego, and I drank mostly Stone, Alpine, Ballast Point, Pizza Port and AleSmith. P4P is worth your time IMO. Cheers!
The moment you smelled and said "tropical" I knew that was the DDH. It's those new school hops. Did this at the brewery about a month ago and had pretty much the exact same results. I love regular pliny, but the new one is a great "modernization" to make it compete with WC DIPAs like Sorta Mostly Dead.
Great battle review, both delicious beers.I hope pliny for president sticks around i love how they ddh and put it in cans. Good stuff
I really hope they continue to brew it post election season. So good! 🍻
Loving the battle action. More of these mate!
Appreciate you watching!
My dude is bombed after this.
Monday was....a little rough 😂🤣

Did you age it on purpose? Or just happen upon a bottle?
Joe Senigaglia it was in back of my fridge stuff with over beer kinda forgot about it. I was really impressed
@@gueyg6644 Thats happened to me a bunch over the years, haha. Glad it held up!!

Proud of you for drinking 4 pints of double IPA in a sitting.
Monday was a little rough 🤣
Love the Street Fighter battle glasses
Seemed appropriate 😬🤙🏼🍻
Vinnie actually said what you picked up: Somehow the DDHing and slight tweak in process made P4P more tropical fruity and oddly less bitter than PtE.
That’s pretty cool to hear! Glad my whack ass palate sort of works 😬🍻
Do you have a WWF(E) channel?
Haha yes
