Batzman's Classic Cars & Comics thats cool dude, currently swapping the worn out 292 for a 302 and a c4, building it for my first car so I can't afford fuel injection lol, I want to save up to lower mine but right now the goal is go get it on the road
Guitars Cars ETC. ETC. this was my first vehicle...ever. I did get it out and drive it just a bit today. Recently put a larger air filter on it and that’s improved things. I may lower mine one day, but I’m good for now. What year truck do you have?
I think the rims would look better painted red, would coordinate better with the existing pinstripe and lettering on the tailgate. White walls would would also work but can be pricey depending on the size.
Mike Mc Clune oh yes sir...expensive indeed. I’m looking at options now, but I’m gonna wait until I see what color I have the truck painted. Should have part 3 of this process uploaded today.
I had a 59 Step Side that I sold in 06 for $900. It was a 6 cyl and the whole truck was in real good shape. I bet I could get more than that today. Love your truck. Good job.
Nice truck would like to have seen you put on Fenton chrome reverse rims with baby moons. More period right for that model. But I'm an old man from muscle car days. Built race cars and high performance engines for a living. Had a 47 ford truck with over bored 312 engine trick heads, interceptor carburator, dual point disburator, high lift cam. All the good stuff back then .HAHAHA nothing compared to today. Also built a 1958 Studebaker truck with 413 Chrysler motor torque flite trans. And Chrysler rear end. You talk about something dangerous to drive . But a blast. Sorry to have talked your head off really enjoyed your video. Wish you all the best from a CAR LOVER!!!!!
Tom Thomas I completely agree with you. I’m looking at doing a trim ring or a different center cap. I was in a pinch and had to buy wheels and tires quickly. I wasn’t crazy about them either and they didn’t have white walls either. I’m still hopeful that I can salvage them. I love the looks of the Studebaker trucks!
@@ClassicCarsComics Cherish these times son I got old and can't build are work on them anymore. Just watch you guys and still dream. Thanks for talking to and old car freak.
Beautiful truck, but with the original look it presents, I think going back with Ford stock wheels in gloss black with the chrome Ford hubcaps, and chrome trim rings would really set this truck off. As a car collector, I notice people are really appreciating the originality of these classics again. Just my 2 cents.
Chuck Haynes it’s a process sir. I’ve got the parts now for fuel injection, ac & all new Dakota digital gauges. I’m also getting an estimate on paint and body work sometime next month. Painter won’t be able to get to truck though until after first of the year.
Wide white walls would look awesome, I did like the old wheels better
Thank you for watching and commenting! I’ve gotten some of the ideas from Don W Squared who’s working on his 59 as well.
Don't care for the new Ford's, but you gota love the old ones.Great video, good luck with the truck!

Guitars Cars ETC. ETC. will do! I just bought some new gauges and I’m planning out making the jump to fuel injection.

You sure wasted some money on them wheels. The old wheels looked much better to me.
Junk Yard I like that style...it needs some white walls or something. But I agree with the current paint color and setup.
I'm a Dodge man myself but this sweet beauty could convert me. 😘
Jeff Cuevas thank you sir. It’s a work in progress. I’ve got a lot of parts to still get put on there.
