You have been a God send!!! I'm 51 years old, one week BIG CHOP and have been stressed and lost as to how to do this natural journey daily. This is just the 2nd of your videos I have watched and I am feeling hopeful. 🙂 Keep up the great work of posting this TWA journey. Thanks for the support. 💓
So happy I came across this video. My hair is growing back from chemo and need something easy to do. Your hair looks great.
Hi Lauren. Wow, you made it through chemo!! Yay! My professional background is in oncology research, so I know you’re a strong woman. This style is easy to do and maintain.
I really enjoyed this!! I just cut my hair off again 2 months ago so I would love to see more videos like this. This twa stage ain't no joke. It's really testing my patience right now!!! Congratulations on reaching 2K subscribers too🤗🤗🤗
Listen, the twa is definitely no joke. It gets better once you know what works on the cut. And thank you for being part of the tribe and contributing to the 2K milestone. I really appreciate everyone who tunes in.
Whew girl TWA ain't no joke. Testing my patience is truly an understatement. But when those curls come together properly I am over the moon. I notice once u got the right products and the right techniques u should be good. But I'm still in the testing and trail stages. I enjoyed this video i check youtube on the daily to get as much ideas as possible to help me on this journey
Definitely need to grab me a small comb like this! Cause finger curling is hard to do for me!
Listen, this small comb is a game changer. I put a link in the description.
Best natural twa, and no frills session for super popping curls ever! I can't wait for my hair to grow out long enough to use this method! Keep making videos!
Wow!! Thank you so much! I appreciate the love ❤️
My hair is about the length of yours and I struggle with humidity in Atlanta. Never thought to use mousse on dry hair! Love this idea. I will try as a refresh in the morning when my curls are non existent. Pls continue to share your short curly hair tips
Yes, give it a try on almost dry hair. I saw Maya Smith, stylist and owner of The Douxx do this, and I tried.
She said, "I like a natural baby hair, no shade you guys." 😂😂
LOL! Its the truth. No shade. I just can't with the baby hair.
You are so gorgeous and this style is EVERYTHING! You do NOT look like you’re 30 anything. Black don’t crack 😍😍
First, thank you for tuning in. Yep, I will be 37 in July. I truly believe in working out, drinking water, stress free living, and doing things that make you (us) happy.
Love this video. I went out and bought the twist combyou used and my curls are popping. Please do a video on how you wrap your hair at night and how you refresh this style. 😊
THANK YOU❤, YOU JUST HELPED ME OUT. Honestly, I was just in tears literally because I can't find a beautician to do my hair.. And ran across your video tonight and it's for 4ahair. I dont need a beautician now, I am gonna do this 😘 I hope you made more videos
Finally found someone with my exact texture!!❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thanks for sharing. I’ve been struggling in this TWA phase, although this is probably like my 4th or 5th time going through it.
I just started watching your videos about a month ago, and I love your content. I recently got another big Chop, this time a tapered cut, so your video came around just in time. Our hair type is the same and your video shows me how to style my hair. Thank you and yes, I will like to see more.
Wow, thank you for sharing! It brings be so much joy and satisfaction when I read that you get value from my content. So thank you!
I enjoyed the video. I actually separate and finger coil my hair with Cantu coconut curling cream. I wet it and apply the cream. It last for quite some time. It is good in humid weather too! I am definitely going to try this mousse. My hair has grown out from my TWA. Not sure if mousse will work as well. But, I am willing to try. By the way, you are absolutely correct about how disrespectful gray hair is!!! Those gray strands are super UNRULY!!! So, I understand the gray hair struggle. 😊 Great video!
I just used the Cantu Coconut Curling Cream for the first time last weekend and I liked it. And don’t get me started on these gray hairs!
Ok so I guess this is going to be my cut for the summer now. You sold me!
I had 2b hair before I lost it all to chemo. Now it’s all coming in as 3c and I have no idea how to care for curls that short. Thank you, thank you, thank you for sharing your styling routine with short hair. This was so helpful and hopefully my hair will be more manageable (and less frizzy) the more I get the hang of it.
Wow, your story and journey, really touches my heart. I’m honored that my videos are helping you feel beautiful and do your hair during a difficult time. My professional background is in Cancer care and clinical practice guidelines.
I’ll have to try that edge control. My hair loves mousse. I Usually use Texture ID. Oh and yes, grey hair has a mind of its own 😂🤣
I LOVE the way Texture ID smells. I might do a quick compare and contrast mousse video.
Absolutely gorgeous 🤍💫. Definitely going to try this foam on dry hair. Yes to more hair tutorials 😊
Thank you. More hair tutorials are coming!
Love it! Just got a TWA to get my relaxer cut off. Very helpful!
Yes!! I’m so glad you found me. Welcome.
I recently did the big chop, I also have gray hair at the hair line, AND it seems like we have a similar hair type-I am so happy I found this video. Thank you so much for taking the time to do this step-by-step tutorial!! And I also felt your “baby hair” comment 😂 I’m in my 40s…so I don’t ever deliberately make “baby hair edges.” They just are how they are 😂🤷🏽♀️
Also-your hair looks AMAZING! It’s beautiful. Thanks again!
Yay! I'm so glad you found me! And girl, the baby hair hype be killing me! Like why? LOL!
I’m male and live in Houston (hot, humid much of the year). I don’t ‘get’ all the hair grade talk, but my hair seems very much like yours.
I have had luck with Cantù and not sure what the controversy is since I’m new to all of this (regrowing hair after decades of sporting the bald look).
I’ll look into the mouse. One thing I do like about Cantù is that they generally are priced well and don’t break the bank.
Thanks for the tips.
Ahhhhh need me a comb and some mousse ASAP!
I love love this look on you🤎👊🏿✨
Your curls are beautiful 😍😍😍 question do you think mousse is better than curl creams as far as moisture?
Your hair looks great! I'll try this product on my own hair. I already did the big chop. Thanks for the video.
No problem, Marilyn. Congrats on your big chop and thank you for watching.
Omg thanks for this video… I’m transitioning back to natural and had no idea what to do with my hair.. tired of walking around looking like a lil boy..lol will def be trying this…
Love love love the video. Ran out and bought. Listen it worked perfectly. Thanks so much.
See its comments like these that keep me going! Thank you for watching and trusting me.
I'm glad I'm seeing videos like this I'm 62yrs and my hair is really stressing me almost wanted to put a perm in it but hair is so thin and coming out I just ordered keranique hair growth kit so can you please tell me what to do with it please
🥰🥰🥰💯💯 this natural style on you is beautiful popping curls I can’t wait to chop my hair again in a few months just waiting for my hair to grow out more 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🤩🤩🤩🤩
Tired of wearing wigs and head wraps after cutting my losses. So glad I found this!
I love your hair cut and I love the way your curls turned out. My hair is growing back from having breast cancer twice and I am watching videos to help me know what to do. Its a little shorter than your hair. I'm using cantu coconut curling cream and creme of nature honey moose.
I’m sooooo happy I found this video! Also keep going with the content! You’re doing amazing! Have you put the mousse on wet hair? If so did it last?
Finally!! Someone with the exact same hair as me 🥲
I love Cantu products too. And I have that curl mouse. Thank you for sharing
Thank you, Charlotte. Thank you for watching!
Love your hair. I will definitely try the Cantu Mousse
Yes, give it a try. Let me know how your hair responds.
Your hair looks fantastic ❤️
Your hair is absolutely gorgeous! My hair is longer, but I will try the coiling method.
Hi Patti. You can definitely coil longer hair. Give it a try.
@@NaturallyShauniece
Thank you.
Very Helpful Demonstrations👍🏾
Thank you for these video, love your hair gonna try it on mine
Your hair look freaking amazing💞💞
Thank you!!
Nice to know you can add this product to dry hair
Yes more live videos. Thanks
Okay thank you for commenting. I love the live styling videos because you guys get an chance to see the actual un-edited process. I’ll be doing more for sure.
I will definitely try this , very simple technique
Hello. Thank you for watching. I really try to keep it simple over here.
Thank you for sharing this way to do finger curls. Your style really is very cute.
When it’s humid out dampen your hair & add bio silk oil & the Cantù wave whip mousse & you’ll be fine. I live in Miami, Florida where it’s always hot and humid.
Hi, awesome results! What is the name of the comb used?
Great video! I’m going to try that Cantu whip. I haven’t used mouse in a long time given I associate it with flake frenzy.
That’s exactly how I felt about mousse. But the key for me has been not pairing a whole bunch of products with the mousse and then re-activating the mousse with water when refreshing instead of adding more products. Thank you for watching.
You did that and this comb technique is giving. I also am now definitely going to try The Doux in my next wash and go that may be this week Because I feel like my hair is about to turn out a disaster. Great video your curls were so lush and juicy. As for Cantu u are using what works for you and it definitely shows that it works.
Thanks Tiff! You definitely have to try The Doux. Maybe on a flexirod set.
Hey there. I loved this video. Thou I don't have a TWA the content was good to watch. I'm considering doing a semi-chop (still working that out in my head, mentally convincing myself to do it) and I would need some TWA techniques to try. This natural hair game ain't no joke. Cause not all styles work on every hair type. But listen, those gray hair are soo disrespectful and unruly. They be out of control most days. Lol 😄 Keep up the good work and make more content. 👏🏽
Hi Nesha. Wow, thank you for watching and taking the time to even comment. If you're considering a semi-chop, try a tapered cut. I love a taper because you can go as long or short as you want. You can shave the sides completely or leave the side longer. Its a great option for those who don't want the full commitment of a big chop. And gray hair is terrible! I hate it. LOL.
Your hair is beautiful!! 😍😍I’d love to grow my natural hair this length!! 😊😊
Hi Hannah! You can definitely grow your hair to this length. Thank you for watching.
@@NaturallyShauniece Thank you Shauniece!!😊 ❤
Thank you ❤ I plan to buy that comb
I wish my curls would curl up like this.🙄 I’m about to head to the beauty supply right now and get this little comb and try this. I’m not sure what texture. My hair is about the length of Ned the Wino’s😆 from the episode of Good Times when James and Michael cleaned him up. I’ll come back and let you know if this worked for me.😉
So cuteeeee🔥🔥🔥🔥
Thank you!
Beautiful curl fren!!!
Thank you Brandi!! I appreciate you tuning in.
I tried this tonight. But I'm lazy so I know I missed a few spots in the back. Growing out my 2nd big chop. I'll check your other video to see how to maintain it. I, too, have grays coming in. I guarantee I have more than you do. 😉 They are so disrespectful! I could not get those Brillo pad wiry ass hairs to curl or lay down with the others! 😂 I have a combo of everything from 3a to 3c. Thanks for the videos!
@Naturally Shaunice ... Just curious... how do you protect your hair at night and how do you maintain the style over the next few mornings until you restyle it?
You go girl
Soooo cute!!!!!
Thank you very much. And thank you for tuning in.
Beautiful
Cute look. Will you please share where you got that comb? I need that in my life. Thanks.
Walmart sells it!
Hi Michelle. Listen, that comb is great and I use it every time I do my hair. Its from Cantu and I got it as a set from Target. I put a link in the description.
@@NaturallyShauniece Thanks. Yes I saw it there and got mine earlier this week. I’ll try it tomorrow when I shampoo my hair. I got mine from Target as well. 💕
Yes I just bought I love doux after seeing a post and love it my curls literals stayed for 4 days and probably could have longer if I didn't wash it. I need the little comb cause using my fingers gets tiring
That is awesome. Thank you for sharing and trusting my reviews and tutorial.
Love the look! Does the hairstyle last all day?
Hi! Yes, it last all day. Thank you for watching.
Nice one a good job naturally curly brilliant 👏👌
Hi Denise. Thank you and thanks for watching.
Question...did you have any type of product on your hair prior to applying the Cantu curling mousse?
Hi. Great question. In this video I only used the Cantu Wave Whip. You can feel free to add a leave in before applying the mousse.
Thank you for the feedback
Luv your hair…it looks just like mine but I paid someone $60 for a steam treatment and curls. Gonna try to do it myself next time 🥰
Girl, if you don’t click the hair steamer link I provided and by yourself a steamer. It pays for itself.
@@NaturallyShauniece I’ll have to invest cause every time I go to the beautician, she steams my scalp! ❤️
Your caption says wash and go, so is your hair wet or dry before adding the mouse?
Yes please ok 👍🏽
Learnt method - using the comb to define the curl… the roll of the end . I’m newly big chopped.have a fingernail worth a hair
It's giving everything that it's supposed to,
Aye! That’s what we want. Thank you curl friend for watching and subscribing.
Looking good
Do you sit under a dryer after?😊
I’m trying 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
I currently do this now. But my hair has had 3 months of growth and no my hair is to thick and long to do the comb curls 😢 I don’t know what to do now.
Thank you for sharing.
No problem. Thank you for watching!
So cute
You make it look so easy...UGH!!! I can't finger coil to save my life :(
Absolutely beautiful!
Listen, keep trying! Trust me. Some styles I even have to try multiple times before masking it.
Love it, uh do you do house calls lol. I have the hardest time with my twa
LOL!! Too funny. I don't do house calls. Where are you located?
@@NaturallyShauniece Thank you for responding back! I'm in Tampa Florida lol
Beautiful tight curls...style is nice too...wow
Does that Cantu moose just work well on short hair?
Searching for that comb!! Anyone have any advice?
Go to The Doux’s website. I believe I put a link in the description. If not, here you go thedoux.com/products/d-tail-smoothing-comb. Thank you for watching!
That’s a teasing comb
Had a stroke so left side is weak can't hold arms up to long because it causes me pain so how can I do less
Any thing with shea butter activates my eczema.
I’ve learned so much from your videos. Thanks!!
What type of hair she has? Her hair pattern look like its really soft. Will this work on 3C hair?
Hello Geraldine. Yes, these products will work on 3c hair.
Yesss curl-neighbor.
Hey neighbor! Thank you for visiting and tuning in.
Thanks!
Oh wow! Thank you SO much for the donation. You just made my day.
VERY GOOD .
Where can find this comb? On Amazon?
Hello. This comb is only available on The Doux's website.
l really like your hair but l don't know how can make it
You can do it. You just have to be patient and learn your hair. Pay attention to how your hair feels after cleansing with a particular shampoo, or how your curls did a few days after. You can figure out what works for your hair.
Love your hair. Sorry I didn't see type/name of comb. It looks metal. But I could be wrong.
Cute 🥰
Like ur hair
Would this work with any curl mousse?
Hi Kish! Yes, this will work with any curl mouse. I've used Cantu, Miss Jessies, Shea Moisture. All work the same.
Was your hair wet here?
Yes, my hair was wet here.
❤️
Miss yiu dont have 4b and 4c hair 🤷🏾♀️
You look like Tia mowry 😍
Thank you! Its funny because I get that a lot. Tia Mowry is my number 1 celebrity look alike.
My hair would never.
Her hair is naturally curly 😐
Thanks for taking the time to comment. We all have curls. Some are zig zagged, some are s shaped, but there curls nontheless.
