    Im very excited to have found videos on this. I went down the rabit hole of conditions that cause all of my symptoms and this is potentially the best fit so far. Ive spent 10+ years with these symptoms the fact ive finally stumbled upon multiple conditions that could potentially be the cause is thrilling, and this one is currently right at the top of my list. Ill literally ask people for massages in that area all the time, usually they only help when the person is squeezing hard enough they think theyll hurt me.
    Im really hoping this is whats going on cus all the other options are life long

    I’m looking into getting this done right away!!! I have had cervical instantly for over 20 years but I was on diazepam for 18 years. I just got off the diazepam and have been in the worst shocking pain throughout body, gait is awful can’t want further than the bathroom, my neck is in so much pain, spasms all throughout now, I can feel my neck spasming 24/7. I am in the worst nerve pain all day and night. It’s unreal. I was thinking maybe I should just go back on the diazepam and then thought it didn’t really work completely I need to get help at the root. So finding this has been an answer to my prayers. I found some Drs near me that do that.

    you pointed to her upper back at 10:25. Can instability in upper cervical cause tight muscles and issues in the upper thoracic/ shoulder blade? I have neck pain at C1/ C2, dizziness, tight muscles, grinding/ clicking and also grinding when i open my mouth all the way....only on the left side though. i feel like the soreness radiates down to my upper thoracic and shoulder blade. Only thing that seems to help is sitting in a recliner with my neck supported or using a traction device. traction is only very temporary relief though.

    • @CaringmedicalProlotherapy
      @CaringmedicalProlotherapy  3 года назад

      Hi mapex311, Yes, severe muscle tightness as well as referral pain is very common with cervical instability. What you're saying makes sense to us about finding a position that is supportive in order to lessen symptoms. The ligament-muscular reflex is often a part of what people experience as the body's way of protecting the vital structures that run through the neck. What that means is when the ligaments are too loose or weak, the muscles must stay in constant engagement in order to protect the spinal cord, nerves, arteries, etc. Also, cervical instability is a progressive disorder, meaning that the instability in one segment eventually leads to instability in another. If you would like help on your specific case from our team, we're happy to review your case in more detail and see if it sounds like you're a good fit for our neck center. We wish you all the best in healing!

      Hi Jody, Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Yes, exercise and sugar intake are hugely important for a healthy lifestyle. What he is referring to though is something relating to the ligaments in the neck and that is a weakness that we treat with Prolotherapy. People then heal best by practicing good nutrition and proper form with exercise and good posture. It all works together. Wish you all the best in health!

I also have cervical neck and trap pain. No migraine medication has been helpful. He is recommending RFA at C3, I am a physician and would love to stay true to my western medical training, but I am weary of RFA and would strongly consider Prolotherapy. I am from Columbus, Ohio. I have had constant headaches from when I awake until night time.. I have been to a Specialist here in Ni.Ireland.He said he could operate on my shoulders,but if he injected my neck.I could have a stroke. I have fibromyalgia and osteoarthritis ,under active thyroid .All of these problems I can live with,but the lightheadedness is very different.My GP gave me tablets for Vertigo but they didn’t help ,also I have had THREE WHIPLASHES( ( I am a youthful 75 yrs.old. )Or so I have I been told.I hairdressed for 56 years until 2 yrs ago . I have had steroid injections in the past so what is the difference between them and Prolotherepy I will have to see if there is anyone in Belfast, I’m sorry for the long email but I was wondering if having Prolotherepy injections would be safe for me Kind Regards Teresa Mcgauley.

      @CaringmedicalProlotherapy  3 года назад

      Hi Teresa, So sorry to hear that you have been suffering from all of these symptoms and had three major whiplashes, along with the physical strain of being a hairdresser. We understand the toll that can take on the body. There are very few clinics in the world who specialize in treating the neck, let alone the upper cervical spine. Unfortunately, that does mean that people travel, and we treat many patients from Europe, although we understand travel is not feasible for everyone. Prolotherapy and steroid shots are completely the opposite. Prolotherapy is regenerative and cortisone is degenerative. Many surgeons use it as a way to mask the pain while the joint continues to degenerate to the point where an operation is warranted. However, the goal of Prolotherapy is to strengthen the joint stabilizers, which are the ligaments, so that the area is not in an accelerated degenerative state with the goal of resolving pain and keeping people out of surgery. Of course, there is a time an place for all treatments, but we are able to help many patients avoid surgery. Here is a more recent video where we discuss the difference between Prolotherapy and cortisone, if you wanted some more in-depth discussion on it: ruclips.net/video/pznSkPz7zyg/видео.html
      We wish you all the best in working with the doctors you have available near you to discuss what they can offer you, and then determine what you feel best about moving forward with. If you feel that you wanted to visit our center at some time in the future, you are always welcome to reach out to our team directly for a more thorough case review. Take good care, Teresa.

    • @CaringmedicalProlotherapy
      @CaringmedicalProlotherapy  3 года назад

      Hi sgarsea, Prolotherapy is the term for regenerative injection treatments. There are many different types of solutions, and many people have heard of stem cells or PRP (platelet rich plasma) which are types of regenerative injection treatments. Prolo is short for proliferative, as the treatments are aimed at stimulating the growth and repair of supportive joint tissue: ligaments and tendons. There are many resources on RUclips, of course, but we have a lot of written information as well if you prefer to read more about the treatment: www.caringmedical.com/prolotherapy/ Take care.

    My neck clicks and grinds when I turn my head to the left. And specially if I lay down on a pillow at night to sleep. I've been having this issue ever since I experienced a trauma on the soccer pitch. Been taking a few MRs and what not without the docs finding anything wrong. Instead I've been diagnosed with anxiety and depression. Any chance this could be instability?

    • @CaringmedicalProlotherapy
      @CaringmedicalProlotherapy  5 лет назад

      Hi paym4n, so sorry to hear about what you have been dealing with. Yes, this is so common in our practice. When MRI is performed, the patient is usually lying still without symptoms. We do dynamic testing with DMX to actually see the spine in motion. We are able to recreate symptoms and have a better understanding of what is happening with the soft tissues that support the neck. What you are experiencing since the trauma is exactly the type of case we help here. You can check out more of our videos on neck instability and DMX. But if you would like to speak with one of our clinical team about your case, you can upload your MRI report and detail more of our case at the bottom of our intake form on our New Neck Patient page: www.caringmedical.com/head-neck-specialist-visit/ Hope we can help you soon!

Also neck pain and headaches get worse with driving and I felt sometimes my head as a bubble head sort of thing. I just saw a Doctor today in Sacramento on spine and he diagnosed me with the occipital neuralgia. It’s now almost 6 months that the headache and neck pain is and it get worse with driving and at times I couldn’t get comfortable to sleep at night. I’m taking amitriptyline to help with the headaches. It helps but it’s only covering up the sx not the issue. So he recommended either nerve block or go for the prolotherapy.

At 69 years of age, these ailments have started over 35 years ago (the fractured right femur occurred in 1966 at age 15 from a football injury resulting in a 1 inch shorter right leg), the lower back pain and stiffness started at age 32 or so, and steadily and progressively traversed to the Neck and skull.

    Can instability cause neck muscles to tighten as move your head from time to time.

    • @CaringmedicalProlotherapy
      @CaringmedicalProlotherapy  11 лет назад

      HI cs june, thanks for the question. Yes, this is common in many areas of the body where there is instability, including the neck. The muscles take over the job of stabilizing the joint, which is not what they are meant to do continuously. This is when people become chronically in spasm or with excessive tightness, always feeling like they need to stretch or get massage, etc.. So we see these types of cases in our office get relief with a comprehensive Prolotherapy technique. If you have specific questions for us about your case, please feel free to contact us through our website caringmedical.com

Meniere's gone dizziness tinnitus gone sinuses gone. But I'm flexing non stop in a tucked double chin position. No doctors here understand. Help me please.

    hello. I had a spinal injury from the chiropractor 2 years ago. Ever since I've experienced constant daily pain on neck, limited range of motion, constant tinnitus, dizzinsss, now headaches and eye pain, and constant daily fatigue especially in the eyes. I am about to have MRI, but I feel the doctor is not going to see the whole situation and know how to best treat everyting. How much is the digital motion xray and treatments for the nerve compression and blood flow restriction?

      Hi Lindsey, What you're saying is understandable to us, as we have certainly seen the scenario before. We hope that your doctor can help you and we're glad that you're taking some action to try and get to the bottom of what is going on with you. The costs for initial testing for a new patient is typically around $3,000-$4,000, and treatment sessions average around $2,000. We always have pricing on our website as well, and we review cases ahead of time in greater detail to try and determine what tests would most likely be needed during the initial 2-3 day appointment series to give people a better idea of what to expect for their particular case. You're welcome to reach out to us for a case review, if you feel that your doctor is not understanding your case and you'd like a more comprehensive approach with our neck center team. www.caringmedical.com/neck-patient-candidate-form/
      Take care for now, Lindsey!

      Hi AK STHA, Thanks for sharing and sorry to hear that you are having the same symptoms. But, we're glad that you are exploring some possible reasons for why this is occurring and what can be done. Our office has moved to Fort Myers, Florida. We treat many patients from Texas, although we do understand that travel is not feasible for everyone, nor can we accept all cases. We have a detailed case review process for our neck center, as we understand that most people are traveling to our office, and some do need to stay locally for a couple of months if they are very severe. So, our team does a thorough review and discussions prior to someone coming here in order to ensure they are a good fit for our center. If you are interested in applying to become a patient, feel free to reach out to us anytime: www.caringmedical.com/conditions/prolotherapy-neck-pain-cervical-instability/#get-help-now

    What a great video! I have tried 5 sessions of prolotherapy so far with gradual results in the upper traps and scapula region. All the injections have been on the surface of the skin. Is it also recommended to get prolotherapy also in the facet joints or would prp be more effective? Do symptoms improve even after 10 weeks from ceasing prolotherapy treatment?

      Hi landshark616- Thanks for the question. Dr. Hauser practices in Fort Myers, Florida. Our clinic is not in-network, which we know can limit some of the people who can receive treatment. Many people do get reimbursed from their private insurance for at least part of the treatment. But insurance typically doesn't cover much in the way of chronic pain treatments that are regenerative. They still primarily cover only drug-based (cortisone or painkillers) treatments in-network. However, there are many patients who report back to us that their insurance covered 50% or more of their treatment, or even a whole series of 3-6 treatments.

    I suddenly don't feel crazy. I always I just want a real reason for all these symptoms. They just say it is stress and in my head. My neck constantly clicks and pops. Sometimes it is so tight that the back of my head and neck feel like they want to snap if I were to force movement without pushing on my knots in the back of my head. When I push on then to loosen them up and stretch it out a giant pop will happen and I get a crazy head rush and ear ringing.

    Hi Dr. Hauser,
    I had a bad whiplash injury 5 years ago, and outside of occasion muscle spasms in neck, it was manageable. Now it is becoming unbearable, I have bad cervical instability and need a chiropractor visit weekly. An MRI shows multiple bulges, stenosis and facet joint hypertrophy and a reversed curve. For the last 5 months cervical spine has been inflammed with zero relief from pain meds/facet injections (only 3), physical therapy. I am going to do prolotherapy regardless, but my question to you is should I make an effort to get inflammation down first (it's everywhere, looks like someone inflated the left side of neck), thinking more facet injections, wait some time w no steroids, then get prolo, or get prolo while everything is still massively inflamed. Just trying to get prolo at a time where it would be most effective. Also, any opinion of Ozone added to prolo?
    Thanks for your help.
    Joe

    Are all neck tightness related to cervical instability? I have a very stiff left side of the neck, no pain in the neck but. i have been getting trigger points on rhomboids and trapezius on a daily basis, this started to happen after i recovered from a spine injury from bad posture while working from home. I have limited range of motion and can barely move my head. The first doctor I saw did a ultrasound and said i have facet 4 and 5 instability and he recommended PRP. Then a few months later I saw a different doctor for a second opinion who also performs PRP but she sent me for an xray and mri and I was told that I have advanced DDD with cervical stenosis and the treatment option was the radiofrequency abalation on the nerve. I am really confused and dont know who to believe and what to do to improve my pain

    I have clicking and grinding from a damaged c7 facet joint, would this be instability and is it due to ligament damage? What type of prolotherapy would work best for this?

    • @CaringmedicalProlotherapy
      @CaringmedicalProlotherapy  3 года назад

      Hi cambio123, What you've described sounds like it would be worth exploring Prolotherapy as a potential option for the clicking and grinding, as well as if you already know you have damage to your C7 region. Consulting with a Prolotherapist for a physical exam and more detailed medical evaluation would be the next step to determine if that would be the ideal treatment option for you. In our office, we use Digital Motion X-ray as well to look at the cervical curve and see the vertebrae in motion to help guide which areas of the neck are most unstable and any other unique findings that would determine a treatment course, in addition to see if cervical curve correction is recommended, if any type of bracing is needed, etc. Feel free to reach out to our team, if you are looking for help in our Fort Myers, Florida neck center. We wish you all the best in healing! Take care.

      Hi Drastic measures, thank you for reaching out to us. Not every Prolotherapist practices the same way or specializes in the neck. We treat patients who travel from all through the US and internationally specifically for neck treatments. We'd be happy to discuss your case further to see if you're a good candidate (email us directly to discuss your medical details privately: info@caringmedical.com). If you are limited to location-based Prolotherapy only, you may want to start a search on getprolo.com. Wish you all the best!

    Inundated with exponential information, the brain has more to process alongside more to ignore. Vast metabolic waste sledging downward from the cranium directly into the right atrium with an ever increasingly numbing heart emotions, lack of expressive creative neocortex freedom.

      Hi Gina, Thank you for the question. We do not have specific referrals for outside of our office, especially if we have not seen someone for an exam and to review their case. We try to put out information about our techniques, research, experience, etc. to help people understand Prolotherapy or how it might be a consideration for various conditions, but it does not go across the board for all Prolotherapists, just like with any medical specialty. We just do not know everyone who practices or what types of cases their office can handle, etc. Our office tends to take on a lot of referred cases that other offices cannot handle, especially with regard to the spine. However, there are a lot of Prolotherapists who can take on straightforward pain cases just great, and we are always happy and encouraged by hearing of people's success with Prolotherapy wherever they were treated! All we can really suggest is to speak in detail with the team and/or provider who you are considering seeing about your condition and see if you feel that is a good fit for your case. We wish you all the best in healing!

    Well I guess I'm not going to see anything? Or results? Or weeks/months of pt to coincide? Maybe the patient's verbal praise's of the injection (s)?

    This electronics stuff with bending the neck is nothing new IMO. How about reading a book, doing homework, writing, sewing, knitting/crocheting, other crafts, wood work, preparing food, cooking, talking to shorter people (lol!). We are looking down at a myriad of things. Maybe electronics exacerbate it?
    Thanks for these videos. I'm learning something new to look into. And you're adorable!

    Nooooo! This does not work! Too much pain too risky no evidence this even works.

      Hi Goop Man, Thanks for visiting our channel. Prolotherapy has decades of evidence that it works great for the spine. Not sure where you are getting the information, but there are many studies on Regenerative Injection Treatments (prolotherapy, PRP, other cellular therapies) on PubMed and in numerous other medical journals and organizations throughout the world. Wish you all the best.

      Have you had any severe complications, long term side affects, or death result from injecting the upper neck occiput region?? It just seems to me much to risky due to severe risk of hitting vital structure and also induced inflammation causing big problems to crucial nerves or spinal cord itself, maybe even arachnoiditis if substance invades spinal cord area. I would like to see more evidence this truly works for complex areas such as the neck and especially upper neck/ccj area. Much simpler joints(ie shoulder, knee etc) I can see the risk reward justification that this may possibly help. Please advise.

      Hi Goop Man, In our office we have not seen severe complications with Prolotherapy. In fact, it's more the opposite that there are long term complications from many traditional treatments (including surgery), or choosing not to do anything, since pain conditions are degenerative by nature. With that in mind, injecting any area of the body must be taken very seriously and should only be done by people who are well-trained in anatomy and safe injection techniques. There are many prolo therapists who do not specialize in treating the neck, which is part of the reason why we have neck patients who travel from all over the globe to come to see our specialists. It is just like any other medical treatment involving the neck. You need to see someone who is experienced and can get a good handle on your case to see if they are confident the treatment is a good fit for you. Wish you the best.

      YES, this does work. I have cervical instability which gave me severe migraines for most of the month. Wish I learned of this treatment sooner. I will still have an occasional headache but OTC stuff takes care of it. Caring Medical is very knowledgeable, professional and caring. I recommend them every possible chance.
