It makes me happy that the Ultra fanbase welcomes Powered with open arms overall. It's like after everybody finds out the making of the show, the fanbase just shows compassion to him. And the director of absolute conspiracy turns his shows biggest negative (the ultra conservative fighting so not to tear the suits) into a positive by making his palm and pushing strikes his fighting style like a sumo wrestler, even adding that he focuses energy into his fighting to have more impact and give him his own unique fighting style. It's really heartwarming when you think about it.

I KNOW that if Powered had actually been released in the states, it would have been my introduction to Ultraman instead of Tiga. Tsuburaya's dedication to fans all over the world, even after the production troubles behind Powered, still touches me.
He may not have come from the greatest series, he may not have been created in Japan, but he’s still an Ultra Hero who fights for what is right! One who is just as worthy to stand with all others! Ultraman Powered!
Had Tsuburaya do more research on the American movie/TV studios at the time, and gave 3 times more than a measly US$4 million to a well-known big budget major studio than an unknown miniscule budget newbie studio (Major Havoc), Ultraman Powered would have been a bigger hit than Mighty Morphing Power Rangers (no, it's not MMPR's fault that causes Ultraman Powered to get cancelled after 13 episodes).
@Asian Pride Great was a bit better than Powered as Powered suffered from troubled production from the same studio that produced Robot Holocaust B-movie, and executive meddling.
Imagine a new generation OG ultraman and everyone is so hyped and excited about it and even love him so fast..... But no one remembers who did it first.... Powered was awesome
The suits were brittle, the miniature effects were poor, but damn it, Powered had one of the most beautiful theme songs of any Ultraman series (when in Japanese, at least)
This ultraman was ahead of its time actually in term of props and special effects were spectacular during the time compared to other ultramen..This is why we can see they were very realistic..However since they spent too much resources for props etc the costumes were too expensive for aggressive fighting, thus at the cost for sluggish fighting style
Ive always notice how slow Powered is compared to other Ultramans but it gives that feelling that he is a giant instead of a dude in a suit bouncing around a bunch of houses
@@steampunk1610 i see…now i know but i kinda like the slow movement not some typical Ultraman we seen in Japan…the camera angle, the props, the effects may not be as good as now but in that time it was awesome… Plus, if you notice the origin suit looks so much better than all the other Ultraman to date, it looks realistic like a bare muscle…less folding…this suit looks so natural, the neck, the shoulder, i mean everything looks perfect to me
That’s the reason why the fights were so slow. The creators took pride in the props department and their creations so they tried to avoid damaging them as much as possible
It was rather realistic however it came with a downsides as the suit were fragile, hence why the fight are lackluster. Powered suit were however were most fragile of all as they have to make new batches if the suit were damage during the fight scenes.
@@brandonvortex995 I wouldn't have expected Powers suit to be the worst offender. That suit always looked more durable than the monsters due to minimal pokey bits. Then again, it does seem to be a more foam like material which I could see tearing and ripping
I really liked this Ultraman from my childhood. Until now I'm 30 years old, I still like this. And in the new series, it makes me feel like I met a friend I haven't met in a long time.
The props of the show is super high quality, the monsters actually looked realistic and scared the crap out of me as a kid. You have no idea how relieved i was everytime Ultraman Powered showed up

So in order to give him a fight the kaiju have to be just as strong making him one of the strongest Ultra physically but like I said that means the Kaiju are just as strong if not stronger
I have the complete series on VHS somewhere in my house. Though it had maybe the worst fight scenes in the whole franchise, it surely was part of my childhood.

2:09. Very hard to notice. The green circles surrounding his color timer lighted up (white ring) right before he fired his Mega Specium Beam, just like in ep 1.
I would like to point something out that this guy is one of the first Ultras to defeat a Zetton. Jack was the first, but Powered also defeated one by outsmarting it.
On his series we can see how mysterious and wise powered was. I like how he doesn't make noise when he fighting back then. It make him look like a very strong guardian.
There's only two things atleast a hardcore ultraman fan must do 1. Watch atleast five full ultraman series 2. Answer other people's question about ultraman

最初、うちの父がレンタル店でパワードの小冊子をもらってきてくれて見てみると、怪獣図鑑になっていてバルタン星人やケムラー、レッドキング(しかも本当に赤いし)チャンドラーなんかは完全に鳥になってるし、特撮雑誌にはこの怪獣たちを「パワード化」と呼んでいたし、当時はビデオが見れなかったので地上波で全話放送してくれた時は嬉しかった。

Despite how.. bad the fight scene in this series I blame the suit and how painfully it look to move around But Ultraman powered has a best looking suit ever when come to US Ultra,powered still remain my firsts Ultraman I have watched and his redemption in Official Ultraman channel, Put a smiles on me, Take the Dream!
PS: I love how you edit the fight scene in the video, so the fight doesn't look horrible
